I had a great time and the resort delivered at or above expectations. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pool was great too. There were issues with seaweed on most days but that seems to be hit or miss although they could do better there with a little more work. The meals were as expected from "good" at the buffer to up to very good at the a la carte restaurants. Great value for the dollar at a DR resort!

We had a fantastic stay at this resort and I want to recognize some of the incredible staff who made our trip so memorable.
Luisa at the front desk was warm, welcoming, and so helpful from the moment we arrived. Deni, the bell boy, was incredibly kind and attentive, and Frank from the wait staff provided consistently excellent service throughout our stay.
A huge shoutout as well to the entertainment team, particularly Jose, Luis, Gabriel, Yulainy, and Ray. Their energy, friendliness, and enthusiasm made the atmosphere around the resort so fun and welcoming.
Thank you all for helping make our vacation so special!

Punta Cana is beautiful! The resort is very big and has all that anyone could wish. Beach is fabulous! The food is top notch. Service is fantastic! The rooms are clean. Yes they are due for an update but clean and comfortable, and the maid and water service are great. We really enjoyed our vacation!

Me and my brothers stays privilege club for 7 days and it was a ok experience. The greatest asset of this resort are the staffs. They made our stay absolutely worth and they one of the only reason we'd think of going bk.
Privilege club made it worth it for us. The private bars,lounge and beach was awesome. The private shuttle was always there in a minute after we called them. So big thanks to privilege club. The only other reason id stay again.
The rooms are outdated and basic. The mirror in the bathroom was chipped and old. Some lights in the room didnt work.
The housekeeper did a very poor job with cleaning.. fortunately we aren't the set of guys that would make a big deal. Like I shaved my face on day 2,cleaned inside the basin and a lil bit of hair was left around it that stayed there the entire time which means the dasin wasn't cleaned. The shower wasn't cleaned.. we had to ask for washcloth a few times... our beds weren't made properly..
Compared to every other hotel.. this the only adult only VIP stay that didnt even put a lim decoration on the beds. Just a plain sheet an pillow.
I would definitely return only bcuz the staffs makes you feel very welcome and privilege club amenities made it worthwhile.

Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at Bahia Principe Aquamarine and would definitely return. There are so many positives that truly made this trip special.
The buffet food was consistently amazing with lots of variety, and the Mongolian restaurant was hands down the best — a must-try! We had the Privilege membership and it was 100% worth it. Having our own reserved beach area made a huge difference and felt more relaxing and exclusive. Philippe was incredible and always made sure our drinks were never empty — outstanding service. The beach staff also does an amazing job cleaning and removing seaweed every morning, which really matters if you want to enjoy swimming in the ocean. As for nightlife, the beach party and the discoteca were definitely our favorite activities.
A few small downsides: the cleaning staff can be very loud in the early mornings, the mattresses are quite firm, and unfortunately we asked for a blanket and never received one.
And finally… so many cute cats around the resort that I definitely did not pet (sarcasm 😉).
Despite these minor issues, we had an amazing experience and truly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend, especially with the Privilege upgrade.

Our first time here. I must say was excellent the customer service from the staff we interacted was first class. From the buffet staff to maids, front desk, bar etc couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly. This resort.so much better than the last place we stayed (see previous reviews) the beach was excellent only wish there where more huts as you have to get up really early to try and get one. Beach staff were excellent. The food from the buffet to the restaurants was excellent barring the olive restaurant it wasn't that good.
Room was clean and the front desk staff was excellent in getting us a better room. Thank you from the maids to bar tenders to buffet staff. We will definitely be back

I was shocked to read all the positive reviews compared to our actual experience. We flew from Canada and this resort is not what it seems. For starters, you have to pay for room service which nobody seems to be talking about (no breakfast in bed, no late night snacks). The staff also behaves like you’re an inconvenience when you ask any questions and predominantly speaks Spanish (understandable as it’s a different country, however, basic things like requesting more TP shouldn’t be so difficult). Good luck getting any concierge services such as extra towels or water because they don’t answer, hang up, or it goes straight to voicemail - we had go to lobby multiple times to get what we needed yet half the time nothing showed up.
Also, none of the restaurant bookings are actually available, we wanted to try out the Indian and Mexican cuisine but they were booked out 1 week in advance. There are 5 resorts in the same area that you have to walk to for your restaurant bookings. Although they claim it’s adults only, the restaurants are in the resorts with children. Be prepared to walk a lot because the beach and restaurants are located in different resorts.
If you’re looking for a 5* stay that they claim, this hotel and their amenities are closer to 2*. The food is mediocre with no variation between breakfast, lunch & dinner. The drinks are different every single time with no consistency.

This resort has too many restrictions. It’s confusing and not enjoyable to be told you can use this pool, but not that pool. You can use this bar, but not that one. (We purchased a package to be able to use the other resorts and it was not *fully honored. We paid for the adults only, stay at one, play at 3 package.)
The bar drinks used the cheapest alcohol. Usually you can find a bar or two that has decent middle shelf alcohol, not at this resort.
Dinners were good overall.
Aquamarine is far from the beach. You walk through other resorts to get to the beach (this was a first). Aquamarine had the only clean pool.

Dinners at Ambar were great. Aquamarine buffet breakfast was good some days and lacking others. Only two people would bring drinks at breakfast. It was poor service even though we tipped. The Aquamarine rooms need updating.

We enjoyed our stay at the (Adults Only) Aquamarine. The rooms are a bit dated, but still clean and comfortable. We stayed as guests of Owners, so we got all the perks of Privilege Club members. I really wouldn't want it any other way: Private carts take you where you need to go, access to a private concierge with top-shelf liquor and just special attention and service. The breakfast buffet at the Aquamarine was probably the best, and we tried a few different ones. The pool is always jumping with live entertainment and there are no kids running around.

Wonderful experience, nice rooms, great and friendly staff. The buffet was ridiculously good with different varieties every day. The pool was lovely and met new people every day. Swim up bar was particularly convenient. Short 10 minute walk to the beach but there is a trolley that comes quite regularly you could hop on. Overall I'd recommend to anyone who's coming out to Punta Cana
