GREAT little hotel for the money. Clean, friendly staff. Definitely small rooms but you get what you pay for and you don’t need much else. Everything worked well. Can’t beat price or location!

Horrible Experience – Felt Like a Haunted Hotel!
We arrived at 2 a.m. after booking through agoda for two nights, but the hotel had no record of our reservation and claimed they don’t work with agoda. After half an hour of explaining and showing proof, they said the room had leakage issues and moved us to another hotel in the middle of the night. The building itself looked like it had been abandoned for 100 years — dark, eerie, and empty. The lift was an old, manual one straight out of the 1920s, and we were taken to the fourth floor with no guard or staff around. The next morning, the other hotel kept calling us to leave and return to the first one. Overall, a terrible, stressful, and unprofessional experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Set in the heart of Cairo town though in an old structure, this hotel has experienced and well mannered staff that ensure that the rooms remain sparkling clean. Besides, the facilities are working effectively and despite the bursting of the environment, the rooms are serene.

Good value for money, the building has its own rustic charm with elevators from old movies. Don’t expect great luxury but the staff is excellent and the breakfast is tasty. Location is downtown with noise so not for families but perfect for young people all restaurants bars and monuments are easy to reach

Can’t beat this location. Walking distance to everything fun in downtown Cairo. Value is pretty solid. It’s not a nice hotel, but it’s certainly an acceptable one to crash for a night or two. The AC works. The street is a bit loud, but earplugs exist, and if you’re a heavy sleeper like me, it’s not really an issue. Service is great. Rooms feel a little off? Maybe it’s because of the lighting or just general decor choice. But overall would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good value place to stay.

It was a great experience overall. I totally recommend it. Mr Hamada won't let you down at all. The rest of the staff are quite friendly and welcoming as well.

I stayed at a hotel located in the heart of Old Cairo on Talaat Harb Street—an excellent location close to many facilities, including the metro, Souk Al-Ataba, the Nile River, and Tahrir Square. The hotel occupies the 4th to 6th floors of the building and is accessible via two elevators.

The rooms were clean and well-equipped with a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. While the hotel does have some noise insulation, I could still hear occasional car horns from the street, though it wasn’t a major issue for me.

The staff were generally professional and courteous, especially the housekeeping team and the ladies serving breakfast—both groups were outstanding in their service. At the reception, we were warmly welcomed by Edouard, a friendly and professional staff member who kindly helped us switch to another room after check-in.

However, our experience on the last day was disappointing. We had paid for a late check-out until 6:00 PM, but at exactly 5:59 PM, someone knocked on the door to remind us of the time, just as we were packing—a gesture that felt abrupt and unnecessary. Later that evening, we moved our luggage to a friend’s room (who had booked an extra night) and planned to leave for the airport around 11:30 PM. While we were chatting with our friend around 11:00 PM, we received a call from the desk manager telling us that guests are not allowed to stay in another guest’s room. This felt unfair and inconsiderate, especially given that we were just about to leave for our 3:00 AM flight.

Aside from this unfortunate interaction with the reception staff on the last day, the hotel is overall secure, clean, and run by a mostly professional team. I would consider staying again but hope the reception desk staff improve their guest relations in future.

I definitely highly recommend. The hotel is nice, located inside of an apartment building. Don’t let that stop you from giving it a chance. The rooms are clean and the staff are very helpful and nice.

Great Location, But in Need of an Update

I'll start with the positives - the location is fantastic! However, everything else feels like it's stuck in the past. The building and lifts are outdated, and the entry process was confusing. But, the reception staff were super friendly and welcoming, which helped ease our initial concerns.

The rooms are huge, but, unfortunately, they're also a bit dated. Breakfast was decent, nothing special. Considering the price we paid and the amazing location, I shouldn't complain too much.

That being said, a refurbishment and update of the rooms would make a huge difference. With a bit of modernization, this place could be fantastic! Until then, it's an average stay with a great location.

Staff were very professional and hospitable ❤️ The hotel building is a vintage Cairo style building, it's well preserved and feels like being in a time machine. I'd recommend this place 100% if you want to get a good clean place for a great price-value and also if you want to move easily around Cairo because the location is superrrrr central. I'd definitely stay there again whenever I'm in Cairo ❤️

There's two points that could be added to elevate rooms level : things that would complement the room decor more like some rugs or other objects with an Egyptian touch, and disposable slippers, at least for the bathroom.
