Om Kolthoom Hotel, Cairo1 / 27
7.9
Cairo, 5 Abou El Feda (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The room was nicely decorated, and the staff were very welcoming. However, the room facilities were a bit old, and the bedding was slightly rough. I believe that updating the bedding would provide a better experience for guests.
A wonderful hotel with a beautiful panoramic view of the Nile. The staff was exceptional and their service was top-notch. I would like to thank Mr. Moataz, Mr. Mahmoud, and Mr. Mina for their warm welcome, excellent service, and for facilitating the check-in and check-out procedures. My sincere appreciation to them.
Facilities: Well-equipped and quite modern. Cleanliness: Generally good, though the bed sheets felt a bit worn. Service: Very attentive and quick to respond. Location: The location is quite good, similar to an embassy district, with a wide variety of shops nearby offering plenty of choices.
Excellent location and reception.
So far it's my favorite hotel in Cairo. It was very clean and tidy. The view was amazing. We stayed for a day and we had access to the pool and gym which is usually limited for the very short stays in other places. We requested an extra cover and a hair dryer and they gladly provided them. The staff are very kind and cheerful whether the receptionist Mahmoud, the 2 ladies from the house keeping or...
Well there is one area in Cairo to stay and Om Kolthoorm is the best value for money you can get. The staff is soooo friendly and they will out of there way for you. We are a family of 8, and we took 4 rooms all great. Breakfast was fantastic and a great variety for a continental. You could order eggs as you wanted them, I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. The 2 restaurants outside reception are...

Cairo, 20 Taha Hussein st (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel is right next to the Presidential Hotel, about the standard of a budget hotel in China. Breakfast is served on the 11th floor of the Presidential Hotel. The bed was comfortable and fairly clean; a housekeeping lady cleans daily. The bathroom is quite large with a separate shower and toilet, perfect for one person. It was recommended by an Egyptian client. It's also conveniently located near...
Decent, nothing special. It's right next to the consulate, so it feels very safe. The first night, they gave me a room facing the street, and it was incredibly noisy all night long. Thankfully, Trip.com customer service was very helpful and helped me communicate with the hotel to switch rooms for the second night.
Very nice hotel and reasonably priced. Staff were very helpful
Its not just a hotel its an experience, you are at heart of Zamalek, you can hear the schools in the morning and if you just need to relax you can have fun, visit some historical sites, go by the nice, get all you need walking distance.. you can stay in the neighbourhood if you don't want to go around! Staff are very very nice the hotel itself is at least 40 years old,you feel the vibe, but its all...
Don't bother wasting your time looking for other hotels. This hotel is the definition of hospitality and service. It's a 3 star hotel disguised as a 5 star hotel. Excellent staff and service and rooms. 5 stars out of 5.
If you have never been to Egypt and this hotel is the first stop. Your bound to feel a little anxiety. The back roads, the busy streets, cars everywhere... but once you arrive and go inside, you will be pleasantly surprised. The rooms are nice for the price range and although it seems deep in the city, you are a 10 minute walk to the Nile River. There are plenty of nice restaurants and shops close...

Very close to the markets in Cairo! We had not stayed a night in the room but good for money what they are charging. Location in the heart of Cairo. All markets are very close to this property. We can go by walk without any problems. The hotel starts from 6th floor but the rest of the building is like a Zombie building!! No one moves around and it's an old building but good condition. Cleanliness...
The room is relatively cheap. The facilities are old, the internet is not working, there is no hot water for showering, and even the shower head is broken... Fortunately, the boss is very enthusiastic and helped check if there is anything missing when leaving.
Second day of staying in this hotel, great location you can walk down the streets enjoy coffee shops and delicious traditional foods around here. Not noisy as expected, well functioning airconditioner, comfortable beds you will enjoy sleeping here, close to everything i needed, receptionists are polite and helpful, also Mr.Sami is here to help whenever you needed. Thank for those recommended the hotel...
The service was more than worth the price. The receptionist was very kind.
Generally speaking, choose carefully for quality requirements
This place is bare minimum and between the street noise and the packs of dogs that bark all night long it is hard to get rest. The mosquitoes were all over the room and I was covered in bites by the morning. The staff were very kind and helpful but the room is very run down and I did not take a shower because the set-up was bad. For $21 USD per night you can’t have high expectations and so remember...

The room was in good condition but the bathroom had a very strong sewage smell that was very disturbing and gave me a bad headache, even with the bathroom door closed. I reported it to reception so I hope they do something about it.
Very nice & classic hotel located cairo City-Center, Front of one of the Most famoust statuts in Egypt. Many thanks for the nice reception team & Houskeeping . We had nice clean Room with balcony, we were satisfied in this hotel. Many thanks to Joyce, Rim , Ahmed & Reda.
A good choice if you want a city centre location for a couple of nights, I chose it because it was close to Ramsis Railway Station... Problem arises because there are no external signs to tell you where it is and also one of the photos of it is not of the correct building but one across the other side of the ''square'', luckily one of the local shop keepers recognised the name and pointed me back...

Location is very good, walking distance to Tahir Sq. wanted somewhere to sleep for a few hours and have a shower as my flight landed at 3am. So it was for that sole purpose. Got what I paid for and thus cannot complain. Do not have high expectations, this place is a hotel only by name. Arrived at 4am and check out at 11am.
Room small in downtown. Nearby so many restaurants and shops. Easy to go everywhere
The hotel us in center, but need to search for the address carefully, the place is near everything , have small lift, it's OK for one to 2 nights but not longer as u can hear the voices of pple, and the toilet makes a bad smell
Well located, on a street with a lot of atmosphere and food and metro areas. Also in the room you can't hear the noise from the street. They upgraded me to have a private bathroom, even though it was really small. Reception staff my friendly. Normal cleaning
It is one of the best places in Cairo for environments and services. I highly recommend seeing Cairo.

A decent hotel, though let down by poor managerial communication. We particularly appreciated Mr. Ahmad, who was very friendly and amazing.
The place was very good, and it's strategically located close to the metro, bus station, and the Egyptian Museum. There are also many restaurants nearby. The hospitality was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The room was tidy and beautiful, exactly as pictured. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.😍😍❤️❤️🤗
Hotel comfortable and localised in exilente place i recomended
Excellent location near Tahrir Square / Egyptian Museum and Sadat Metro Station. Staff were excellent in particular the manager Mr Ahmed receptionist Alaa and house keeping Azze. Breakfast was good. 7 floors reception and communal lounge on top floor. Whilst we were there I was admitted to hospital they checked up on me daily via my wife and friend who was also staying at the hotel. Warm welcome...
Perfect location near to metro station sadat…near to the tahrir square just walk a few minute from hotel..easy to get shawarma kebab haha
Simple place, if you waiting fancy stuff, definitely this place is not for you, if you don't mind with it and just wanna a place to crash by, it's worth cause of location. Islam is a truly gentleman. Helped me when I arrived at 2 am, was at street waiting for us, brought our luggage and made our checking without further problemas. Wonderful staff. Truly gentleman

Great customer service they were very helpful with our reservation. The room was also nice and in a convenient location next to shops and attractions. Great customer service nice rooms. Also really affordable. I dont think there's heating for winter time though. Location is right in the centre which is great
It's a boutique hotel at an excellent location at Cairo city centre. If it wasn't for the dirty and dangerous building entrance I would have given it four stars. The place is not suitable for old people and families with kids. The room is spacious and clean. It overlooks the city main road, however, the ceiling is peeled and unhealthy. The breakfast is served at the room. It's okay nothing fancy, eggs...
really enjoyed staying in this hotel, it was so clean and has a good location, also staffs were so friendly and helpful. I would stay in it again for sure
Good to sleep in only. Very good location if you like the old city. The price is reasonable and good, the employees are friendly and the breakfast will come to the room
Nice and clean hostel, the only problem is that they don't have an area for breakfast. You will have to eat breakfast in your room.

The hotel is in a key location, making it easily accessible to all the major sightseeing. The room itself was nice, but one drawback is that the walls are very thin you can clearly hear noise from nearby rooms and even the reception area. Additionally, there was no name board outside the building, which caused delay in finding the place. I would advise the management to display a proper signboard for...
The customer service at Regency Inn is truly outstanding. Bebo, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, demonstrating just how fortunate the inn is to have such dedicated employees. Additionally, the homemade breakfast was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great experience.
Great value for money. We spend two nights at Regency Inn and it was definitively a good choice. Room was very spacious and spotless clean. But what makes the difference is the staff. Basma and her colleagues were very attentive and professional, always willing to help us. Totally recommended.
Take a front room with a balcony. Nice room, hotel located right in the city center. Courteous and friendly staff. Ready to help us. Pleasant stay. Comfortable bedding. It's important to take a room overlooking the street. Fridge.
Pluses: 1) Location. It is located near Tahrir Square, so most places of interest are nearby. However you might have some difficulties finding it. There would be no super-clear sign, you have to look at the signboard on top of building entrances. You may find place called "Felfela" easily (Btw it's a nice street food), hotel is on the left to it. In daytime there might be a shop on the first floor...
Great place to stay. Mohamed and Ahmant made our stay easy. They were very helpful with everything we needed, the even helped us to get our PCR test for our trip back. The room was nice and matched the pictures. I will definitely recommend this little hotel to anyone looking for an affordable stay in the heart of El Cairo.

The staff is a bit too uncooperative, each floor has one landline to the reception and the 2nd floor line isn't working. Ordering anything from the reception is challenging and once you order there's a huge chance they won't do it. Other than the staff the hotel is clean, quaint and spacious.

Good value hotel in a great area with a view of the pyramids. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is excellent. Just one problem, the hotel is quite difficult to find, down a small street behind the Nemes hotel, ask a taxi driver to drop you there.
Room was clean and organized well. Hosts were very kind and helpful for all things Egypt. Breakfast was amazing and the pyramid views from the terrace are incredible.
The rooftop terrace offers a fantastic view of the pyramids. You can even have the sunset all to yourself. Breakfast on the terrace is also great. You can drink beer and get water. The owner and staff are very kind.
The room was okay, but the shower didn't have hot water. They didn't provide shampoo or other amenities, so you might need to bring your own (though towels were provided). Advantages: The staff is very nice, and the location is great, right on the commercial street. Disadvantages: The shower water temperature is unstable, fluctuating between hot and cold.
