Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir Cairo, Cairo1 / 12High rating

Cairo, 2 Kasr Al Nile, Ismailia, Qasr El Nil, 11511 Kair, El-Kahira, Egipet (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Great location, right across from the Egyptian Museum. However, the room was very old and the drainage was slow. The shower would flood the entire bathroom. But for one night, it was bearable.
This is supposed to be a high-end hotel, yet the kettle in my room was broken upon check-in. The breakfast spread was ample, but the cold water served by the waitress in a glass cup tasted distinctly like tap water, and I couldn't tell if it was even mineral water. I'd really suggest the hotel management try a sip of the cold water served by the waitstaff, then a sip of tap water in a guest room, and...
The hotel is clean for its age, the staff are all super friendly from chef Abdulraman was the best, & Donia & Christine & Mohamed Raafat. At the reception Mohamed made me feel as if I’m a regular quest here, very professional super friendly. Also housekeeping very good.If I’m coming back again is cause they made me feel welcome and felt safe, as if they known me for ages. Recommend the location if...
Breakfast at the Steigenberger Hotel Cairo was absolutely excellent. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding, and everything was fresh and delicious. A special thank you to Donia, who was an amazing host — warm, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. She truly made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend starting your day here!
If you’re looking for an unforgettable breakfast experience in Cairo, the Steigenberger Hotel is the place to be! From the moment we stepped into the dining area, we were captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance that perfectly blends luxury with comfort. The breakfast spread was nothing short of spectacular. With a vast selection of both local and international dishes, there was truly something...
Very nice and safe, I like it there the breakfast is marvellous, if you are from Asia and a solo traveller, you are highly recommend to stay in this hotel, they even have a souvenior right at the lobby. The dinner is a buffet, but is slightly pricey The location is very near cairo muesuem, good to go on last day

Mss. Sarah was very delightful to meet at the reception on our day of arrival. Very helpful and pleasant to talk to. All of the staff is also very friendly and attentive at all times. If you’re looking for one continental cuisine besides Egyptian food. The food in all the restaurants is worth trying.
Very nice hotel. Clean and respectful. Especially the reception staff. Friendly and quick service.
What stood out the most was the exceptional customer service. The staff were always friendly and eager to assist with any requests, making us feel valued as guests Overall, I had a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in.
Almost goods But location not very good as this high price
I must say that the service in the Baron hotel Cairo was exceptional. All the staff members from the front entrance to the restaurant staff, to the front desk and with special emphasis on one particular room service girl, Jakline, who was very, kind, respectful, humble and always spoke with a sweet smile and personality. One small recommendation is to improve the elevator time and speed. It is too...

Spent a night. Room is small and rather dark. It wasn't clean. Room wasn't prepared well. No bathroom towels. Housekeeping staff couldn't understand English well. Pleasant surprise to have dinner and breakfast included. Lobby and grounds are lovely, well kept. Location is ideal near airport. Free airport shuttle shuttle half hour was an advantage.
The room was spacious and close to the airport, which was great.
The hotel needs to up their game, I was allocated a room at check in which had already been occupied by another guest, you could imagine the surprise of myself and the guest when I tried to open the room at midnight. The reception gave me an upgrade, but the room wasn’t very clean it had stains in a lot of places, packaging of the tooth brush look like they date from the times of the Pharaoh.
It was really great everything, recommended.
Thx very much or. Your welcome and care at. All

Excellent hotel. Very cozy, green, well-maintained, and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful with any questions, and some speak Russian. We absolutely loved the food at the restaurant; everything we tried was incredibly delicious! The rooms are spacious and clean, and there were no issues with hot water. Definitely recommend!
The environment is great, and I really love the hotel's garden. Even though it's 40 kilometers from the airport and not in the city center, it feels like a hidden paradise, and it's only a few kilometers from the pyramids. The food is decent, nothing spectacular. The cleanliness is acceptable, and the bathroom is very spacious. The service is also quite good, and all the staff speak English without...
Facilities: A bit old Cleanliness: Average Environment: Very good Service: Very good Location: A bit out of the way
Staying in this kind of hotel for 500 RMB is only possible in Egypt. It's a genuine vacation experience. The hotel is mainly frequented by Europeans and Americans, and the guests are of good quality. The refrigerator has plenty of drinks and snacks, but you have to pay extra (be careful, it's in Euros € 😂).
Highly recommended hotel! The hotel is a resort with a pleasant environment, featuring date palm trees and various flowers and plants. The rooms are clean and have private terraces, perfect for relaxing with coffee or meals. A clothesline is provided for drying clothes on the terrace. The hotel boasts abundant recreational facilities. The swimming pool offers refreshing water on hot days, and there...
The room was nice and spacious and the service was very good. I would have rated it 4 stars, but the music at the pool restaurant was ridiculously loud even though everyone there was over 40 and nobody was at the pool. Also the Internet was almost non-existent. It wasn't much better in the lobby either.

First, the front desk service was chaotic. Despite repeatedly confirming upon check-in that six meals were included in the two rooms, we were told on our first visit that meals were not included for dinner, on our second visit that only one meal was included, and only on our third visit, accompanied by the front desk manager, were we allowed to eat. Second, the restaurant manager and supervisor were...
The room was large and odorless, with a view of the Nile River.
This is a hotel where you can stay with peace of mind. I was surprised at how strict the security at the entrance was. The hotel staff were also very kind. The room was clean, the view was great, and the breakfast was delicious. It was a very satisfying hotel.
From the moment I arrived at Holiday Inn Maadi, I felt like I was coming home. The entire staff went above and beyond to make my stay special, but I have to give a huge shoutout to Rasha, the incredible manager who truly made my birthday unforgettable! She made sure every detail was perfect—from the warm welcome to the thoughtful surprises that completely exceeded my expectations. What stood out most...

Its a good 4 star hotel with nice location. within 2-3 kms distance from all the important historical landmark which is Sphinx. It has lush green area in form of garden, a big swimming pool, all kind of spa facilities and massage's, multicuisine restaurant. Its walking distance from a local bus stand.
The animation Team, Kasha especially, was funny and awesome. We enjoyed our stay!
The bell man was rude. We wanted to give him a tip but he stormed off and left without saying a word. At first our expectations were really low. The gates weren't working. The appearance of the hotel looked run down. A lot of the reviews said it smelled like cigarettes but it looks like they fixed that issue. The hotel was a lot cleaner than I expected in comparison to another hotel we were just staying...
We were a group of 41 people from different parts of the world in November 2019. We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. Everything was taken care of in the nicest way. The hotel is lovely! 2 km from the pyramids. Courtyard with a pool. Only 2 floors, but over a large area. Each way out to a private veranda and into the grass EXT.yard. Beds wide by 1.4 m. Everything is clean and comfortable. There is a place for tea, coffee, al.kettle. Recommend!
Lovely place for a holiday with out door well maintained swimming pool and green area. The food is very poor as well as room service so ur better off eating out. The hotel more caters for adults then children as there is no animation team and there is a bar in the reception.

Good location . Nice hotel. It’s a bit old with limited amenities and services
If the breakfast was a little better, I think this would be a great value hotel.
It is very close to the meeting place. I choose this place every time I go on a business trip. The location is very convenient, the hotel environment is very good, the hygiene is also very clean, the service attitude is very good, and the price is very reasonable. Recommended
Reception stuff not helpful. Cleaning is done well if you leave tips, otherwise not very well. Room service is not 30 minutes as indicated but 1 hour . Room that has city view is dark because there’s darkening film on the window and the view is not to the city but to the opposite building (from 4 floor) The location is noisy, not good for sleep. They have a few dedicated drivers/guides available to schedule for anything from a quick trip out to dinner to a full-blown all-day guided tour around Cairo. We stayed for 3 nights from 7 to 10 December 2025. I gave 3 stars because, for me, cleanliness is the main reason people choose a hotel. Of course, friendliness is important too, but cleanliness is my number one priority. As a cancer survivor, I have allergies when it comes to reusing sheets. Even in my own home, I must change the pillowcases and bed sheets every day. So when a guest requests a cleaning...

The location very bad And this is not even one start
Those hotel is not as better standard. It’s need to review on your furniture in the elevator is not very safe.
While I can see where some of the reviews may have some genuine grouses, they helped adjust expectations and it turned out to be a pleasant short stay at this hotel. Furniture and interiors are slightly old school, Service doesn't carry a lot of warmth, some food options like the breads we're as fresh. The location is close to the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, but very far from the airport. I absolutely loved everything!!! It's clean, the grounds are huge, and there are a la carte restaurants. I did miss a decent coffee machine at breakfast, but that's just nitpicking. Otherwise, it's excellent for the price.
The hotel facilities are complete, but the rooms are a bit old. Parking costs extra.
Pyramids Park Hotel is a very nice hotel with an excellent location, very close to the Grand Egyptian Museum. The swimming pool is amazing, the food is exceptional, and the room service is very good. The internet is fast and reliable, and the pool towels service is well organized. Overall, it was a great stay and I highly recommend this hotel
The hotel is located near the pyramids. It's a completely enclosed hotel; vehicles have to go through security checks to enter and exit. It's a resort hotel with a very nice environment. I tried both the Italian and Japanese restaurants inside; the food was decent. The highlight is that you can drink alcohol… The only downside was that there wasn't enough meat at breakfast, which was a bit disappointing...

A very nice stay here, my fourth or fifth actually. It was ruined by a very rude handling of my departure. I exceeded my late checkout by 1 hour and 15 minutes. But not sure if it was the nights we were they but there was loud music every night till 4-5am so sleep was hard to come by. The views were great of the pyramids, but sleep is important.
The hotel is located next to the Giza Pyramids scenic area. You can see the pyramids from the room. The room is clean and tidy. The parking lot is in the yard downstairs and it is quite dusty. There are quite a few restaurants nearby and the food is good.

There is no air conditioning in the public areas of the hotel, which is incomprehensible. The hotel often has power outages, 4-5 times a day, the breakfast is very poor, and the restaurant has no air conditioning, the environment is very unfriendly. We stayed at the hotel for the last night. We were going to visit the Pyramids the next day, so we decided to stay near the scenic spot so it was easy to walk there. The pyramid view room is a bit noisy near the roadside. It's not a big problem if you bring earplugs.

Room is slightly old. And it is not exactly in the center of Zamalek. So you need to walk out around 10 min to the main shopping area. Their hotel is located at the embassy area which is safe. I chose this hotel because it's located within the embassy district. The entire street is lined with various country embassies, which made me feel a bit safer staying there! It's also backed by the Nile River, offering visible and beautiful scenery!
Arrived at 8 AM but check-in was at 3 PM. They let us check in at 2 PM since a room was available. The front desk service was just okay, not particularly welcoming. The breakfast buffet was quite good. Room facilities were a bit old but still clean.
The room was old and had a strange smell; Cairo hotels are really something else. The bedsheets and duvet covers were so pilled that I had to use my own bedding, otherwise, I couldn't sleep at all.
