Cairo, 1 Seket Elfadl Talaat Harb Street (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Too bad, the location is extremely congested, cars can't get in, the hotel facilities are old, the towels are old, discolored and hairless
Small rooms, need to improve service staff not so friendly but location wise it is good . Not fairly priced as per infrastructure n service
Apart from the convenient location near Liberation Square, everything else is just average.
Breakfast is not much, too Egyptian, with bananas and cakes. Drinks are terrible. It is not appropriate to charge a night's fee for checking in four hours early. Luggage storage is available. There is a hair dryer. The location is very good.
It's in an alley, and the hotel rooms are similar to those in domestic hotels. Overall it's OK, but the transportation is not very convenient, especially with a lot of luggage. It's difficult for cars to enter the alley and it will cause traffic jams.
Small, old and shabby, not as good as domestic express hotels. The breakfast is also terrible.

Very clean, good price for the value, and customer service was top notch. We also liked the location as it was pretty central and had a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. We could also see the pyramids in the distance from the top floor breakfast room.
Best hotel in Cairo swimming pool lovely staff super friendly clean and safe big ten +
Some rooms are dated esp the ones in the old part of the hotel, bathrooms are challenging and shower poorly designed. Front desk reception and porters were very good. AC was ok but noisy, pool was clean, decent and warm. Best part was the restaurant, food and staff. Hesham and Ahmed service was stellar and made us so welcome. They really made the difference for us, we felt so at home ❤️, thank you...
I stayed at **Marawa Palace Hotel** for three days and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was spotless, the atmosphere warm, and the staff always welcoming with big smiles and a genuine willingness to help. The rooms were super clean, and the cleaning team did an excellent job every day. A special thanks goes to **Racha**, who prepared my coffee with such friendliness and care. She is smart, approachable...
A good experience at Marwa Hotel, clean, attentive staff
I was greeted by a swift early check-in by front desk accommodating staff (I do particularly remember Michael) and to my most-pleasant surprise I thought my room was five-star (go for the superior room, well worth it; I have no experience with standard rooms). Housekeeping lady (Alla) is very friendly and accommodating and will do a fantastic thorough job. Thank you. High-floor pool is very nice and...

The room was old, the bed smelled, and the sheets had a bad odor. The hotel's only saving grace is its location. The staff were sometimes haughty; it felt like you were annoying them! The breakfast buffet wasn't good. There were a lot of guests from the Gulf region with significant etiquette issues. Avoid this place unless you only care about the location and are staying for a maximum of two nights
Nice location, friendly staff. It is noisy as well due to the central location
The room is spacious and in a good location.
I stayed here 30 years ago, in 1995, and booked it again because I knew it was a great location. Staff was absolutely lovely, very helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Room was decent BUT, bathroom floor is designed such that water pools in the middle. Overall, the hotel shows it's age a bit and needs a renovation, but it's good value for the price.
Fantastic hotel located in a central part of Cairo. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Rex and Shirley.
One of the best hotels I saw good Price clean room the front desk very friendly I like it

Excellent staff, clean rooms and good food. I recommend it as a hotel that is in the heart of Cairo downtown.
I stayed at this hotel as part of an Intrepid tour- they make day rooms available for the tour groups, which is very convenient if you arrive earlier than check in. The hotel is a 3 start hotel, very basic, but it has free breakfast and there is a café on the first floor and a restaurant on the 10th floor with a view of the Nile- very convenient. The hotel is a 5 min drive to the Egyptian Museum...
I checked in late but the staff was very helpful and accommodating. I got the room that I booked with the amazing unobstructed view of the river. I had some laundry and it was done at a very cheap price. The room was neat and clean, the terrace is large and private, bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is large and newly renovated. The staff is really caring, attentive and went above and beyond...
Highly recommended! Lovely place and very helpful staff. Everything worked perfectly. Nice and calm area and a great restaurant near the lobby.
Stayed here at the start of an Intrepid tour. It's clean, the bed comfortable and the staff extremely helpful. Breakfast was perfectly decent, with omelettes made to order. It is scruffy in places, but good value. Location is very handy - there are Nile-side restaurants five minutes' walk away. It is noisy - even with windows shut they sound open. We had a balcony with a view of the Nile.
Egypt Adventure tour with Intrepid This was my final night in Egypt, I was travelling with an organised Intrepid tour to Cairo, Aswan and Luxor and was finishing my stay here and leaving for the airport during the early hours of the 31st December. The staff were super helpful when I asked them anything. It was also nice to get a welcome orange juice, water, Pepsi and orange.

The hotel is nearby the train main station of Cairo, just 5 mins walk.
This hotel is not suitable for families. What's worse is that there was no water, and the excuse given was that the entire area had a water outage. But what does that have to do with a tourist who booked and paid for a service that wasn't provided? I booked for three days but checked out the very next day and moved to another hotel because there was no water in the bathroom. It would only be fair to...
I love it, good location and great staff with great price, good option for friends and family
It was nice and clean but at night they room service to annoying me for sleep
Hotel Service was good but needs to be cleaner.
This hotel is simple in terms of facility and services. But, it was good enough for me. The cost was reasonable and location was convinient for me. Only thing I want to complain is the shower room. After taking shower, I needed to wipe water spiled over outside the shower room.

Best roof top in cairo cheap drinks great food great service. Don't change a thing!
Nice clean rooms, breakfast medium level, location very good, near all transportation, overall is a good hotel.
i've have only been to the roof bar not the hotel itself drinks are very affordable the services is not perfect but i honestly understand because it's a big place and it's crowded most of the time
5 is in a secluded part of Cairo. We arrived in the middle of renovation. Rooms are small and not very clean. Food un restaurant good but service is very slow and staff is confused and come to ask for your order multiple times. We stayed there for 3 nights and visited restaurant frequently.
The rooftop is really crowded on weekends. The view is good but honestly I’ve seen rooftops with better views in downtown. The food was and drinks were good and the service was fine. The bathroom wasn’t clean but I guess because the place was crowded when I visited.
The place is very cozy, especially with the pharaonic atmosphere all around. Beer and food very simple and related to local vibes and tastes. I enjoyed my time there. I only didn’t like the toilet:)

I stayed at the hotel for three days. It's a great place for price/value. Location #1. Just a few steps from the Nile River. With a wonderful restaurant on the bank. I enjoyed a tranquil stay at this lovely hotel. The staff were friendly, professional and always willing to help. Room service was outstanding and the food was very good. Although the room’s furniture and curtains could benefit from minor updates, the overall experience was excellent. I look forward to returning on my next visit.

Lovely Staff and good breakfast. I don't mind staying at cheap hotel, but I don't tolerate fake pictures as this hotel, particularly bathroom which is small and the bathtub is absolutely tiny just for standing. Also, there is no facilities at all, no restaurant, no café, and no even roof top sitting as they said. it is just for breakfast.
Beautiful staff- incredibly welcoming and sweet. Very safe. I appreciated that I was refunded partially and as much as possible, due to wanting to be at another hotel where my friend was staying. I highly recommend staying here. Fair, kind, sweet, CLEAN, safe!
Very nice location in the middle of shopping area, Worth money, variety of cuisine, food very delicious, friendly staff, clean and quiet room, Mr. Ashraf food and beverage manager is very friendly and helpful offer us a variety of tasty food
The place is in the heart of Cairo, short distance to restaurants and cafes. The room was quiet big and comfortable and the staff were friendly and prompt. The hotel, however, need to have more attention to the internet which was not very stable and to the breakfast buffet which may need more varieties in hot food and beverages.
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooftop restaurant, generous breakfast. But location inconvenient, far from nearest metro station. We walked into Downtown from the hotel. This was exciting, especially when crossing larger roads, but would not want to repeat.
I had a fantastic experience during my stay. The service was consistently excellent, and all the staff members were extremely helpful. First of all, I want to talk about this hotel frankly. It is a special hotel and I loved it very much. It is special with its large, clean rooms and its special staff, such as Ramez, who is skilled at helping people. I would like to come again to the paradise boutique Hotel.

For this price, don't expect too much. Cleanliness is fine, just a bit old. The owner is very welcoming. It's a short walk to the GO bus station, making it a good transit point in Cairo. If you're traveling alone and don't have high expectations, this is an excellent choice.
I forgot to take pictures of the room, only the entrance and breakfast, as shown in the pictures. The hotel is on the sixth floor of this building. I recommend taking the elevator up, as it's small and requires manual opening. The building itself is very run-down. The first time I walked up, I thought I had stumbled into a condemned building. Let's start with the pros: The staff were all very welcoming...
The receptionist was very friendly, and I really appreciated the 24-hour reception. They were very helpful even when I arrived at around 3am due to a delayed flight on a tour. You can use the Egyptian-style elevator. The room is spacious and clean. There's plenty of hot water. The drainage is a little poor, but it was within acceptable limits. Breakfast was bread, rice, and coffee, but it was simple...
The manager is very strict about management, so you can stay with peace of mind. When I had trouble figuring out how to use the elevator, the staff quickly instructed other staff members to help me. I tried to take an Uber taxi to the airport, but they were scamming me and kept jacking up the fare. Another staff member quickly went outside and helped me by telling me to catch a taxi on the street....
I stayed at this hotel again after returning from Hurghada, mainly because of its convenience. The receptionist was as welcoming as ever, and his "welcome back" was just right. A very handsome young man at the front desk also showed me to my room. I booked a single room, which was a bit small and cramped, but it had a private bathroom for easy showering. I tried the Lebanese and Egyptian restaurants...
The room isn't big, but it's just right for one person. I love it! The General Crab owner, to put it bluntly, is someone who's about to leave—he's all about attraction. No tutorial needed. The bright colors are so appealing!

How would I rate this hotel? Like any other chain hotel, the service is decent. They offer free luggage storage, and the hotel gives you two bottles of water and a pack of cookies. There are toiletries and disposable slippers provided. The bedding isn't new but it's clean. There's no strange smell in the room, but it's just too close to the road, so you can hear the traffic noise. Breakfast has only...
The staff are good, but the hotel has soundproofing issues. The windows are flimsy, so there's constant road noise, plus construction work goes on late into the night nearby. On top of that, there was renovation work happening in the next room for several nights in a row, making it almost impossible to get a good night's sleep. There are also cleanliness problems: the fridge was dirty, there was dust...
The front desk, we have the best guy, named Mr Shawadi, the restaurant, we have Mr Hassan. We will always miss you guys and will be back again soonest to see you guys again.
I was traveling solo as a woman, and this hotel was absolutely perfect! The location was amazing, with breathtaking views of the pyramids from both my room and the restaurant. Plus, the entrance to the pyramids was only about a 15-minute taxi ride away. The room itself was spotless, no complaints there. Breakfast was a buffet with made-to-order waffles and omelets, which was a lovely touch. The staff...
Cleanliness: The hotel is relatively new and clean! The front desk service is good. Environment: You can see the pyramids from outside the hotel, but it's a bit of a walk to get to the entrance. You can enjoy views of the pyramids during breakfast. The owner even took photos with us, which was nice. The main dining area seemed good, but we didn't have time to try it.
The hotel is new and the staff are very friendly. They helped me with my luggage, and when my Uber driver got lost, they even used their phone to call them for me. The only downside was that the water heater for the room next door was inside my closet. A guest took a shower at 4 AM, and the machine was so loud it woke me up. Otherwise, everything else was good.

New star Z hotel is located in a quiet side of the area but we were facing a school, which made the morning a bit of a nightmare to sleep in. The room was big and overall the stay was good. It has a good design (glass window for the shower for instance) but lacks finition. It didn’t look so clean but after inspection, we realised it was also due to the design. Breakfast was good.
We stayed at the hotel in early April for 5 nights. We booked a two-room suite for two adults and a 9-year-old child. The room is large, each room is equipped with air conditioning. Loved this old hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner, Mr. Nabila, is a wealth of information on all things Egypt. He can also arrange tours and travel. The location in old downtown Cairo is ideal. Room was neat and tidy. A few mosquitos so I would bring a net depending on your level of tolerance.
Golden Hotel is a great place in midtown Cairo. I booked for 4 nights initially. We checked in very late, around 2:00am, as we arrived back late from Hurghada. We only managed to sleep for about 3 hours before heading out again for our desert tour, but even in such a short stay, the hospitality really stood out. Thank you so much to the hotel for kindly helping us store our luggage, this small help made a big difference to our travel plans. A very special thank you to Hazim....
Perfect location on Tahir sq and lovely staff at the reception. However, the room needs improvement starting with getting bed sheets larger than the mattress itself and putting bulbs on the lamps.
It feels like the hotel has just been renovated. There are still traces of construction in the corridor. The overall condition of the room is OK. The hotel is in a good location, but you need to find the entrance. Breakfast is delivered to the room.
Perfect location just across the road from the Museum. The hotel is safe for solo travelers, and there are police officers stationed on the ground floor of the building. Rooms are clean and basic breakfast is served in the room. Be aware of booking any additional services as the manager has the tendency to change the price and request higher price (in my case triple) than the agreed amount at the time...
