Baron Resort Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh

We are here for the third time, and we are still just as satisfied with the service, the staff, and the managers! The food is, as always, very tasty and varied. Clean like always. We will definitely come back for the fourth time!

Here’s a more personal, shorter, and warmer version: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Personal Review – Baron Palms Resort, Sharm El Sheikh We’ve just returned from an unforgettable stay at Baron Palms, and it genuinely felt first class from beginning to end. The moment we arrived, the team made us feel completely welcome—nothing was ever too much trouble, and their warmth really set this hotel apart. Our room was spotless and comfortable every day, thanks to excellent housekeeping. The food was consistently delicious with plenty of variety, and every meal felt relaxed and enjoyable. The pool area and gardens were beautifully kept and incredibly peaceful—perfect for switching off. What really made our stay special, though, was the staff. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel looked after in a way you don’t often experience. Baron Palms is a little oasis of calm and quality. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already talking about when we’ll be back. Highly recommended.

This resort has many 5-star qualities, but also a few important downsides. SNORKELING The house reef is full of life – colourful fish and healthy corals. However, you can only access it from a floating jetty, not from the beach. If you’re not a confident swimmer or don’t like deep water, snorkeling will be difficult. The snorkeling area is also quite limited and can get crowded. Tip: bring your own mask, snorkel, fins, and (life vest). BEACH The beach is lovely: wide, soft sand, clean, and with very comfortable loungers and duvets. The sea is crystal clear, but too shallow for swimming. Still, you can see plenty of marine life just by walking along the jetty – lionfish, parrotfish, blue-spotted rays, and more. FOOD There’s a good variety of restaurants. We loved the Egyptian and Indian restaurants – delicious food and excellent service. The main buffet was fine, with lots of fresh salads, vegetables, grilled meat and fish, though some dishes felt overcooked. With Premium All Inclusive, you can book a different à-la-carte restaurant daily through the app. BARS & DRINKS The beach bar is great and stays open until midnight. Sitting under the stars with a cocktail was a highlight. Drinks include light beer and some imported spirits (Absolut, Beefeater, Campari, Dewar’s). The all-inclusive wine is not good, and the paid wine list is extremely limited and very expensive (one bottle around €30, the rest around €300). The lobby terrace has a wonderful view of the gardens, sea, and sunrise over Tiran Island. ENVIRONMENT & GROUNDS Beautiful grounds, very clean, and everything is close by. There are many open-air terraces where you can sit and relax. There are shops on site - you can even buy mango, no need to go to the old market, which is 30min drive. BUT – CONSTRUCTION There is active, noisy construction on site. My room looked directly at it, and I couldn’t use my terrace. This was not mentioned anywhere before booking. SERVICE Service at the bars and à-la-carte restaurants was excellent. However, guest relations were not helpful and seemed impatient. Staff also didn’t reply to emails before arrival, which was disappointing. Thankfully, the app helps avoid some of this. TIPS: take mosquito repellents (I had about 50 bites the first night). Overall A good resort with beautiful nature, great food options, and a fantastic beach setup, spaciuos rooms – but the construction and inconsistent service definitely take away from the “premium 5-star” experience.

10/10 stay at Baron Palms. Booked this as wanted some winter sun. Overall great experience, the pool area in particular is a highlight - spent a lot of time there relaxing and having drinks/food. The palm trees and greenery around the pool is a great touch and feels 5*. Staff - all super attentive. From the staff round the pool serving drinks all day, to those at breakfast and everyone else in between. Entertainment - lots going on all day. Pool aerobics in the morning, yoga in the day and then music/shows/dancing in the evening etc. Shout out to Julia and Aya in particular for bringing the energy and getting people involved. They are super friendly and perfect balance of fun/chatty/entertaining/getting people to interact. Standard is high quality and not cheesy. Food - I personally preferred going to the x2 restaurants for lunch/dinner over the buffet as felt more of an experience. You need to book these via the app but also was able to get a reservation at reception.

The reef is magnificent! Sometimes the tide is low, so you can swim and snorkel from the pontoons rather than from the shore. The beach has a good entrance, sun loungers, and wicker umbrellas. The hotel grounds are vast, and the pool is huge. Between the Baron Resort and Baron Palm is a little street full of souvenirs. The rooms are decent and clean, although some still have old, noisy air conditioners. The photos match. The beds are very comfortable and soft. There's a hairdryer and a power outlet by the bathroom mirror, which is very convenient for women. The rooms are spacious, with balconies with chairs and a clothes dryer. We thank the hotel manager, Mohammed, for resolving the issue with our room! The dinners in the main restaurant are beyond praise!
