Hestia Hotel Europa in Tallinn

This hotel is well located near the waterfront and adjacent to a large shopping, which includes a supermarket. The staff were very pleasant; check in was smooth; the room was large and well set out. Having a walk-in shower was a bonus. It was good to be able to open a window to allow fresh air in, despite it being cold weather. The breakfast room is very large and the range of food available was excellent. My two-night stay has been excellent, and I would recommend it as a base for visiting Tallinn.

Great location, just a few minutes from the ferry terminal to Helsinki and several excellent restaurants. It's about a 10-minute walk to the main gate to the old town, through Rotermanni Kvartal. The rooms are clean, but showing signs of wear and tear. A pleasant view of the harbor. Breakfast is quite varied and served until 11:00. The staff seems depressed and less attentive to hotel guests.

The Hotel is very well located for the Ferry terminal to catch connections to Helsinki and also the Terminal D Coach drop off which is how we arrived. We found finding the entrance a little difficult to begin with as it is on the side away from the water at what we would consider the back of the building. We also didn’t immediately see the smaller door next to the revolving one which was not working during our stay. It is about a 20 minute walk to the centre of the Old Town but there are things to see along the way as well and to experience the more modern side of the city. The staff were very friendly and we were able to leave our bags in the baggage room as we had arrived much earlier than the allocated check in time. The reception area is large and very clean with some nice seating, and to one side the bar which they gave us a voucher for a reduction on the price of food at the bar (sandwiches etc.). To the other side of the bar is the entrance to their restaurant which has a small menu on offer and is also where breakfast is served in the morning. I did go down to the bar to order a couple of drinks to take to the room, unfortunately the one I requested the bartender was unable to make for me. There are some good facilities in the hotel, on our floor there was a beauty salon and I believe there is also a gym. If you venture to the shopping centre across the road I also think you can get a discounted game of mini golf (we only saw this advertised as we were leaving.) The room was spacious with a large bed and all the things you would require, including a sofa which I think pulled out to an extra bed if needed. Our bed was two singles pushed together but unlike other hotels we stayed in on this trip they did not come apart. Each person has their own duvet and the pillows were quite comfortable. There was plenty of wardrobe space for hanging up winter clothes as well as a safe. The bathroom was clean and as an extra bonus we also had a bath tub. We were on the second floor overlooking the harbour and found the room to be quiet, however others have mentioned they found it to be loud, perhaps it was because we were staying during the week that there was little outside noise. They have a notice about the lack of bin in the room as they are promoting recycling. There are a number of colour coded (and labelled) bins in the area by the lifts on each floor for any rubbish. We didn’t find the breakfast to be crowded and we went down about 8:30, there was also a conference happening at this time but at no point did it feel like a lot of people. The breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold options. The meatballs were delicious and it was unusual for us to see broccoli offered as a breakfast item. You could also have hot and cold drinks. The staff were attentive and cleared plates quickly, as well as restocking items from the buffet, but we never felt rushed or like they were hovering.

Is my second time here and I am very satisfied will all the services. Is very well located, the breakfast is amasing. You have everything: fish, smoked fish, ham, cheese, fruits, vegetables, potatoes, eggs, sweet corner. You have what to choose.
The room is big, the bed is very comfortable, with very nice view.

Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Tea making facilities. Fridge. Inroom safe. Wifi good. Aircon was very poor, requested & provided with a fan. Could be a few more hangers. Lack of drawer space. Walk-in shower with good water pressure with shampoo & shower gel dispensers. Soap dispenser at basin. Hairdryer. Good hot & cold buffet breakfast with eggs & bacon/sausage/delicious meatballs, hams & cheeses, rolls, croissants, cereals, fruit, tea & a decent coffee machine.

The room was clean and breakfast was good. As other reviews said, it was crowed at breakfast but not a dealbreaker. The temperature in rooms could only be adjusted a couple degrees, but thank goodness the windows could fully open. We faced the water and it was very noisy one night (past 2 AM). The front desk was not helpful about calling the police (as the city has a strict noise ordinance). The gym was decent for Europe.

The suite was very spacious , but sadly the sofa was totally slitten out and unusable. Own sauna . Helpfull, competent and friendly receptionist. Sadly in times full of bus tourists of all sorts with no manners at all. The breakfast was nice, but needs improvement in the freshness section.

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Estia Europa in Tallinn. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with an extremely cozy bed. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to provide information about the city and transportation.

The hotel has a great location, close to the Old Town and the port, which made sightseeing and walks very easy. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with options for every taste.
