Where to stay in Estonia

We state in the basic room, however the room was very basic for the level of the hotel they claimed to be, not even a kettle, one towel per person just a tiny piece on soap on the sink and small soap dispenser in the shower, we got only three coats hangers between two of us, room looked very cheap, we stayed in other 4 star establishments in Tallinn , so came with some expectations, very disappointed...

A very nice place with lots to do.

I was pleased with the well-equipped spa. Breakfast was a 3, and the reception staff wasn't the friendliest.

Good hotel especially for families with children. The water park was really good, many activities for children of different ages. Convenient to go by car. about 10min from the port.

A super lovely place and good services. I don't really like the hustle and bustle of the city center and there was plenty of choice for breakfast and great food in the restaurant in the evening.

Friendly and helpful service! Big hotel and even though is dated is well maintained. Good prices and great for families.

It needs to be renovated from outside, but inside it looks great. The room was clean and it had a view of the sea and sunset. Morning buffet was fresh and not too crowded. I liked that theres a buzyness thermometer for the breakfast in the elevator to let you know when yould be the most ideal time to go eat. Reception could be friendlier but I have no complaints other than that.

Hotel is amazing! Rooms are spacious and clean. The furniture looks new and is really comfortable! Bathroom and toilet are both with room and are separated, meaning you don't have to wait for your husband/wife to finish to go in. Most of the rooms have sea and city view! Which is amazing at evening/night from the hotel bar! The staff ia really friendly and helpful! Drinks are delicious and dinner/breakfast...

I have stayed at the Hotel Sophia a few times. I have always had a car, so the location has been ideal as I don't need to drive into the city to check-in. That being said, the city is only 10 mins by road. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the decor appears to be all new. Amazing breakfast. Modern big rooms with a nice shower. You can take the elevator and get out in the modern shoppingmall with many restaurants and a cheap but good Gym. Hotel restaurant is also good. 10 minute car drive to the Centrum or take a scooter (3km)

Found this place by accident, but was very satisfied with everything. Room was clean and big, with a small fridge in it. Breakfast was nice as well. I suggest this place.

Very nice hotel, great location next to a mall, good enough breakfast, and the staff were supernice. There was just one small detail that was not perfect. Sewage system in the shower was not able to cope with the water flow from shower and flooded all the bathroom. Water even started flowing into the room. It took some time after I took shower for the water to go away. Needs urgent fixing.

Very pleasant stay! Good service, spacious room, good check out time (12.00). Breakfast buffet tasty, with options for vegetarians and other dietary constrictions. My room didn’t have a window, which was a bit unpleasant. For those who use AC this could not be a problem. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Great service. One downside is all the saunas were off by 9pm despite stating it’s working until 9:30pm.

Great atmosphere! Rooms were nice and tidy. Not a difficult drive, easy located. Front desk friendly girls. Speaks both english and russian. No noise. The hotel is well located in the center of Narva, walking distance to many sights. The hotel is quite old, but our room was clearly renovated. Breakfast was reasonably priced. Service was friendly.

Convenient location close to the railway station, the fortress and the border. The room was well equipped, and the value for money was OK. I liked the restaurant, the staff there were friendly and helpful.

Solid spot, close to everything. Room was a decent size and everything was working fine. I had the view of the street. Breakfast was kinda generous, but not top-notch. There wasn’t anything you’d be dying to try. Power sockets were in good places and WIFI signal was OK. The carpets and decor were a bit old and worn out. Narva doesn’t have a ton of choices, so you might end up munching at the restaurant...

The hotel is very well located in the center of the city, the rooms are comfortable and clean (although a little bit outdated ) and breakfast was okay. For the price paid it was a very good experience. Anyways, I would go back here if I'm traveling in the area.

Good location in old town. Nearby many restaurants. Room is a little bit old and dark. Bathroom is good. Chek-in time is 14 and check-out time is 12. Receptionist did not give a room at 13:30, even they had free rooms availble. Had to wait until 14:00, which is bad customer service.

The room was very comfortable and the staff quite gentle and amiable. The hotel is located in the central area of the town. Highly recommended.

Great location and nice accommodation - however in great condition it’s not new, things are a lite worn.

Although my stay there was ok location wise, the real trouble started afterwards. I needed an invoice to be emailed to me - I provided all the information and data. I got one email with totally wrong info (e.g. I'm from Poland and they put Ohio as my home address). When I requested changes they stopped replying. Now I'm basically left with no invoice and can't deduct this trip. After posting this...

Had a nice stay at Tallink Express Hotel — the location is excellent, just a short walk from the ferry terminal and Old Town Tallinn. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the standard amenities you’d expect. Breakfast was passable, nothing special, but overall a convenient and decent place to stay for a short visit.

This hotel is well located near the waterfront and adjacent to a large shopping, which includes a supermarket. The staff were very pleasant; check in was smooth; the room was large and well set out. Having a walk-in shower was a bonus. It was good to be able to open a window to allow fresh air in, despite it being cold weather. Great location, just a few minutes from the ferry terminal to Helsinki and several excellent restaurants. It's about a 10-minute walk to the main gate to the old town, through Rotermanni Kvartal. The rooms are clean, but showing signs of wear and tear. A pleasant view of the harbor. Breakfast is quite varied and served until 11:00. The staff seems depressed and less attentive to hotel guests.

The Hotel is very well located for the Ferry terminal to catch connections to Helsinki and also the Terminal D Coach drop off which is how we arrived. We found finding the entrance a little difficult to begin with as it is on the side away from the water at what we would consider the back of the building. We also didn’t immediately see the smaller door next to the revolving one which was not working...

Is my second time here and I am very satisfied will all the services. Is very well located, the breakfast is amasing. You have everything: fish, smoked fish, ham, cheese, fruits, vegetables, potatoes, eggs, sweet corner. You have what to choose. The room is big, the bed is very comfortable, with very nice view. The room was clean and breakfast was good. As other reviews said, it was crowed at breakfast but not a dealbreaker. The temperature in rooms could only be adjusted a couple degrees, but thank goodness the windows could fully open. We faced the water and it was very noisy one night (past 2 AM). The front desk was not helpful about calling the police (as the city has a strict noise ordinance). ...

Okay hotel with good rooms but spa is lacking. A bit cold and there is one super small area for kids. If you're travelling without a kid, it's fine. With a kid not so much even though there is a huge playground for them, so that kind of saves it.

Our room was very cold. The door to balcony was not able to close fully so there was cold coming in. Also at the SPA it could be warmer. At the moment you get out of pool you have to run not to freeze.

Stayed for a week on a business trip and it was a great experience. The room was cozy, breakfast was good with few options, and the spa was a perfect place to relax after long days. Would definitely recommend!

Amazingly kind stuff, but the spa, parking, breakfast and hotel overall was so overcrowded. It was really hard to find a place in the spa and looked for ages to find a seat during breakfast. Bed was comfy and view was nice as well. Would I go back? I don’t think so. Just felt so sorry that the administration was such high level and there were no other positive things about the hotel.

Comfortable staff. Room was basic but comfy and clean. We liked the spa/pool area - they have one large and one smaller pool . Together with a children pool , a jacuzzi and a cold tubs. Finnish sauna at 90 degrees , a 50 degree sauna ( I preferred the 90 degree and the other is quite Mild ) and a steam sauna . Breakfast was also nice similar to other Hestia hotels. Free parking just outside hotel.

Good location. We had asked for a children’s bed, but waited all evening for it to arrive. Spa was full on Saturday, breakfast very delicious.

The sauna was great! All guests can use the sauna and gym as much as they like. It seems they can also use the wellness facilities. There are three types of saunas, a spa, and a jacuzzi, so it's great value for money.

I had a great stay at Metropool Spa Hotel and would happily come back. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around and explore the area. Breakfast was a real highlight — for €15 per person, it offered fresh fruits, good coffee, lactose-free milk, soy milk, and even salmon. The hotel has a great location, convenient for visiting attractions, and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. In particular, there is a free hot spring pool available for use. The rooms are large and clean. However, the shower faucet is terrible, making it difficult to shower and not up to the hotel's standards!

Clean, good service spa hotel in an excellent location, in the middle of Rottenmann's shopping/restaurant scene. The spa has nice jacuzzis and a sauna section with different saunas.

Great hotel right in the center but still quiet and peaceful. Decent sized spa area, this was our second time at this hotel and I think it won't be the last.

Its a spa health centre with a nice choice of packages to relax, detox, lose weight. Plus wonderful nature, sea, coast, pine forest. A very nice and quiet place to relax and recharge your body and mind. Food options - a choice of buffet, or, if you are on detox or fitlap package,then you have a specia diat and eat in your area and at slightly different times from the buffet times, not to be tempted...

Disappointing experience – not recommended I had high expectations, but this spa was a letdown. The staff were mostly unfriendly and spoke only Russian, making even simple communication and getting help difficult. Nice brand new hotel . Otel room amenities are simple . Clean and good enough size for 2 people . Modern bathroom. For location if you travel by bus is good only far 5-7 minutes by walking . But if you want to be close to city centre need to use bus or tram . By walking city center is around 30 minutes . So even the hotel name is central Tallin is not in central .

Great hotel with reasonable prices. I liked the ease nmd friendliness of the reception team, I had to change rooms due to noisy neighbours and it was not a problem. The only negative for me is the lack of storage in the room and lack of single-use items. Whilst I understand the eco point, some travellers do find themselves in situations where extra items could help.

Good budget hotel, very clean, comfortable bed. Nice free coffees and teas from the machine near reception. Sound insulation is not the best as was woken up by moving furniture noises. Walking distance to the bus station.

In centre of town, near sand beach, near shops, market, restaurants and caffees, bus stop, post office, pharmacy, city goverment - all this in 300 meters or less. 3rd flloor restaurant has an interesting view and it is very good place for parties.

We have stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel looks worse than on the pictures. The room was small, the bathroom wasn't perfectly clean. The receptionist was unfriendly. The temperature at the elevator was way too hot. I liked the breakfast, there were a lot of options, only the coffee was undrinkable. Good location, close to the city center.

Hotel is small but the room was big, we reserved family room. There was small kitchen which is plus point. It was hard to find smiley faced staffs. Breakfast was not bad but the dinning place was congested. Location very good near to old city.

Hotel has perfect location near to the old town. We booked it online and forgot to order breakfast. We pay it on the place and it cost 12€ per person and is not worth for what you get. Coffee was not drinkable( filtered coffee) so I need to order extra esspresso for 3€. Rather go for breakfast to the city. 20€ fee for dog is too much but we got some treats and bags for poops. Cool small hotel in Kadriorg neighborhood. Very good service. Air-conditioning is very effective. Quality breakfast served in downstairs Gourmet Coffee. If you're traveling by car you might be able to squeeze your car through the narrow gate and then down into a very small garage, which do have electric car charging station btw. You can also leave your car in the street next to the hotel.

The hotel rooms were generally large, but a bit cramped. I didn't like the smell in the toilet. Breakfast was a casual affair, costing €20, which was more expensive than a typical buffet (Germany €13.5-16.5). The hotel's location was good, next to a large park and near the sea.

The hotel is not bad, but the room is too small. Breakfast was very upset. I was counting on a good breakfast, but I got a small children's portion. I was very pleased with the cleanliness and service in the hotel. If it were 30 percent cheaper, there would be no questions

A good small hotel in a tranquil neighborhood near the huge park. All was great except the aircon, the control panel was broken and it was making some churning noise randomly.

Spacious room, quiet (city center), stylish room with all the necessities, great bed with different pillows. Lots of different saunas in spa area, sauna rituals were my favourites.

Perfect place for just relaxing, enjoying the spa and saunas, the softest bed and of course very tasty breakfast.

This wasn’t our first stay at Vspa, we come back because we really love it here! Perfect for families with children. I also received a lovely surprise- a birthday cake with a candle at breakfast. It was unexpected and so sweet! The staff are very kind, they even allowed me to extend checkout by an hour so I could enjoy a massage. We will definitely return again!

Amazing personnel and overall experience of the stay. Will be going back should i need to visit Tartu again. Breakfast was also really good and well executed.

Staff super friendly and helpful. Rooms and other areas clean. But... Pools were a bit colder than would have liked + overcrowded. Rooms have bery poor noise cancellation. I guess this depends on the location of the room and neighbourghs, but still would have been nice to NOT hear everything that was going on in the next room and the hallway.

I didn't take photos of the hotel nor the room. But the park next to the hotel is worth visiting and the beach is a must-visit. SPA is outstanding and food is delicious. The hotel is huge and they offer a lot of treatments and activities; so everyone can find something for themselves. I really recommend this hotel to everyone but especially to those who love nature.

Absolutely marvellous experience of a proper holiday. We combined our time in the spa and the visit to 18+ Orchid Wellness. Restoration of body powers and an excellent retreat. All the facilities were clean and supervised by a friendly staff.

The rooms are bit outdated, but have everything you need. Fridge, bottle opener, dryer, hangers and a nice sea view! Sadly only one flat pillow. Room temperature cant be regulated. It was very warm - we kept our window completely open even at night, so we could sleep normally. Spa is okay, but I do recommend the adults only section for more relaxing experience.
