Hotels with beach in Finland

Spent a few days here due to attending a conference in the city. Absolutely loved the place - now part of the Hilton chain but with real underlying character. My room was reasonably large and very comfortable

Finally, a word about the staff, who were without exception friendly, courteous, professional and helpful. Not sure if /when I'll be back in Helsinki, but I'd be delighted to stay here again

As others have said, some parts of this hotel do show their age a little, but for me that absolutely adds to its character. The design-forward approach extends to the restaurant

Such a serene experience. The hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful and greenery neighbourhood. It has a big park close to it where you could take long quiet walks!

I ate here a few times and all of the dishes I tried were excellent and not especially pricey by Helsinki standards. A pleasant spot for dinner as a solo traveller

The most memorable parts of the hotel for me are the exterior and the common areas. the 60s and 70s elements of the architecture and design really shine through

The forest scenery suites that we stayed in were in good condition and we found nothing bad in them (except they were on top of a steep hill but that tells more about my physical condition :) ) There is also another resort nearby called Kuru and they have a superb fine dining restaurant called Solitary

The spa is nice. Breakfast was good too. I have a wonderful 2 nights stay.

Far but worth it, this is my second time visiting the resort and it looks like they are always upgrading and growing now they have small villas that you can choose to stay in they are fitted with glass in the main bedroom that offers Panasonic view while still in bed Perfect for stargazing The saunas is so cool and one of the oldest saunas that you can enjoy still using wood to heat up

Wonderful place, surrounded by breathtaking nature, great variety of activities to do at the resort and beautiful places at short drive distances. Lovely and very helpful staff too

It's a shame we couldn't stay longer as there are so many activities on offer and many more interesting places to stay. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone

There was autumn holidays the week we were at the hotel which ment that the kylpylä was very, very crowded. The showering and dressing rooms would have needed some extra cleaning during the day because of the rush

Warm water at spa, does need some renovation. Almost all the rooms are not at main hotel spa building. Long and cold walk to spa if you do not have room at main building. Breakfast nice and all did taste nice.

When we got our room keys there was said in the small envelope for our keys that we could sleep as long as we wanted and have breakfast any time we liked

We came too late for our first breakfast, but the nice man in the restaurant made breakfast bags for us to take to the room

Just one wish: In the spa area there's a lot of natural light and moisture, so it feels totally useless that the plants there are plastic - there are so many real plants that would thrive there for sure!

We visited the spa complex. Four types of saunas, a salt room, a relaxation area, a large pool, a jacuzzi, and a bar. There is a summer terrace with a lake view. I recommend this place.

A good place for a one-time visit, a spa restaurant and a hotel, of the inconveniences I can note a small jacuzzi in which there is a constant queue, but overall not bad

UPD from 2025: I gave it 5 stars because of amazing view and swimming experience in July. When it is hot, this is really a gem. But the breakfast is still very modest:) 2024: Overall it was a good experience

A blessed place with one of the best view of Finland. The Hotel is a jewel, although the rooms are not much fancy but as a unit with rich breakfast, nice staff - works out splendid

Cozy hotel with a restaurant on the ground floor. Small playground for children in the backyard. Spa 3.5/5, water cool. So there are activities to do. Good holiday destination

Mid-range old hotel We visited on 7. The hotel is old and does not meet the requirements of a four-star hotel. The corridors have carpet and the walls are old and in poor condition. There is only soap in the shower room

It was just a 10 minute bus ride from airport to hotel

Food is OK but service is very slow (took about an hour to receive my order). Luckily I did not have to pay because the buffet at the hotel was closed, but I would have been angry to pay those prices

I have traveled all over Europe and outside Europe and I can say that the hotel does not meet the requirements of a four-star hotel. The staff is not interested in customers and has not provided verbal information

friendly staff, size of room ok. My room had 2 beds (quite narrow) and was located in a sep. buildung (30m from main building). breakfast ok, nothing special, small variety but sufficient

Hotel restaurant offers breakfast buffet, also serves tasty and fresh dinner meal which definitely worth the price. Girls at the reception and restaurant are very helpful

A great hotel close to the beach and woodland walks. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, and delicious! An hourly bus to Vuossori metro station makes moving around extremely easy.

Beautiful grounds, friendly staff who speak English (along with most of the people here in Finland), and an incredible breakfast! The saunas have limited usages and times, so be ready to fit your schedule around that if you're interested

Stayed for 3 days. Very friendly and helpful staff, rooms clean and comfortable and excellent food. The hotel is located next to a large lake with a beautiful view from the restaurant. High recommended.

The surrounding is amazing - forest and lakes behind the hotel. A lot of activities available - tracking, swimming, sauna etc.

What we noticed and should be better, is the temperature of the pools at the spa. 2 of 3 pool is little bit cold. There is only one pool with very warm water but the other aren't so warm which we did not like that much

It's not a party place, but all the ingredients for a vacation are there. The restaurant is really great, very good food, spacious lounges, large terrace in the summer, etc. Great views and a relaxing atmosphere

Staff and the location of hotel is magical. Also the room is very excellent and comfort, specially bed sheets

What we also did like, is for the dog there was treats, sheet and the drinking bowl which shows that they really care about the people and their pets who are choozen to stay at the Ruissalo Spa Hotel

The sofa bed was broken, and we had to get it replaced. We arrived at 10pm, and informed them in advance that we just want to go straight to bed. Few good things included the spa

A peaceful hotel/spa by the sea, surrounded by beautiful nature. The rooms are old, like the hotel, but at least when traveling with a pet, there was plenty of space

I was there with our company. Lots of activity options and the guides were fun and professional. Also the dinner was good. Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay for the night.

Hot day in Finland The desk hours were real variable. The blinds had been left open before we checked in and it was a hot day in Finland, The sun was shining in so the room was hot

Breakfast was great! The hotel is situated in nature so very peaceful and perfect when travelling with a dog. The room was comfy and I slept really well.

What is really brilliant, is the very nice and helpful reception staff, who will give you comprehensive information about local transport, sights, and will recommend a really great local restaurant (Kissanviisket, you must visit)

Very comfortable and practically furnished rooms with an excellent view of the lake (I recommend choosing a room with a private sauna, it's really worth it). Good breakfast, the hotel restaurant is also good

Absolutely surprizing experience Hotel in great location, situated on the shore of Jyväsjärvi lake in the middle of university campuses. 20 minutes from local airport

Jyväskylä has very nice Alvar Aalto museum, Central Finland museum and, nearby in Tikkakoski you will find the Finnish Air Force Museum

A wonderful stay. Pleasant staff and the spa was excellent. The rooms could be better soundproofed, as noise from the corridor was quite loud.

We enjoyed it all, including the spa facilities. Efforts made toward special characteristics for the cuisine, happily preserved however with a general traditional line. Nothing missing in the wine cellar

A very beautiful and clean hotel. We booked the pool and Sauna and it was wonderful. The breakfast at this hotel is amazing!

At the reception area, the hotel serves tea/coffee. The most surprising thing is they have a microwave for in house guest to use! That is a plus for most budget travllers😍. Highly recommended this place

Highly recommended, also we were upgraded for free to a bigger room and another space for a bed. Room an bed are clean , conveniently located next to Stockmann too

The location is really convenient, it’s near the central train station and has also taxi service that transfers from hotel to airport at a fixed price and also on time

It's a really cozy and nice place to stay. It's in the heart of the town, only few minutes away by foot from metro. It's really warm unlike the weather outside, and has the best customer service. 100% value for money!!

You cal also find a private beach and orhet places where you can swim in the lake. Mojority of cabins have a lave wiev. You cal also find a good restorant in campings area and mini waterpark which is popular among kids

We have 4 beds camping summer house. Located just next to the lake. Refrigerator, microwave and some cupboards in the house. One of the upstairs bed is much smaller. We rent the bedsheets and towels for €13 pp

You can choose to live in apartment, villa, small og big cabin, tent or park a camper. Shared kitchen and wc/douche are clean and big enough. Camping offers free sauna every morning which we enjoued much

There are some spots we can swim on the lake. A car can be parked easily next to the house

It was one of the best relaxing days we have had. Saunas and pool are great and also the breakfast was very good. The room has a nice view to the lake and super comfortable bed

It is like you are in the middle of nowhere. Perfect if you want to escape in a peaceful place. The food and the spa are worth it too.

It was better than many regular hotel breakfasts I have eaten and mostly tasty, and thankfully included in the room fee. However, I would definitely not recommend paying regular 40 EUR price for it

Good base to explore Kuopio. Great gym, spa and breakfast. Staff is also nice

Hotel is located on a beautiful lake and quite close to the supermarket. The staff were friendly and the room was fine for a basic room, but could have been cleaner

The spa however needs some work, as it is quite worn, especially the shower area. Pizza was great and restaurant staff wonderful

Nice spa just close to yyteri beach. Sauna and jacuzzi. Yyteri beach is best beach in Nordic countries.around 16 KM's from historical city of Pori.

Really good spa hotel near Yyteri beach. The room was cheap, clean and spacious. The food tasted great and the dishes were clean.

The location is great , but the building fits not in this beautiful nature. I was not inside and can't say anything to the Hotel rooms. The beach is the best in Finland , for my opinion

My favorite hotel in Helsinki. A hotel located in a beautiful natural location, on the seashore whwere meet high level hospitality, Nordic design, art and cusine .

Details like moomin themed cups in the rooms are the cherry on top *) staff is friendly, helpful and speak excellent English *) sauna and swimming pool are great - when you want to have a cold bath in between your sauna sessions you can even jump into the cold Baltic Sea from the pier, marvellous! The only downside of our stay were actually breakfasts

The hotel is a piece of art in itself! What an architectural gem. Not too much choice but quality is there. The parc around is super peaceful and the deck to go in the sea after Sauna is amazing

First about the pros: *) location is amazing - the views are picturesque and it’s very convenient to get around by car, bike, public transport and even on foot *) the hotel itself shows it’s timeless design - looks great in every detail - both with respect to rooms, common spaces and all facilities

There is no coffee machine (only filtered coffee)so a big disappointment for cappuccino fans. Also, no cereal (only porridge) and no pancakes so when travelling with kids it’s harder to get them something

The bartender started to serve him, even when I had not even got one drink I had ordered yet. again, when I pointed out to him that he had not served me yet, he stared at plankly, no apologize, but gave the drink

I spent the midsummer evening at Gustavelund with friends. Bands were great, service not. When I went to buy food and some drinks alone from the grill, the male bartender first tried to charge me 1250e

And Gustavelund did not even had guts to answer my feedback when I gave it before. Maybe just one bad experience but did not give very good impression from the place

Nice spa area, food was OK, Gym was great really great.

The spa is really nice and has many saunas, steam room, jacuzzis and swimming pool. We had some food in the restaurant and it was tasty. I found the rooms a bit of a let down, they were old and in need of a renovation

Without prior notice they told us the spa was privately booked on Saturday from 9am so we couldn't use the facilities; really poor service in that respect - a wasted day for us

Spa was quite nice, swimming pool, two jacuzzis, a hot and cold pool, kids pool, a few themed (and small) saunas, and a steam room. Note that adult sessions start at 7

A special mention for the breakfast: very poor quality, especially for vegetarians, however they had a waffle maker which made me very happy

Rooms are quaint, basic but clean and warm. Restaurant was of average quality, nothing to write home about
