My 1st visit to Helsinki was impressive by Valo Hotel with their friendliness and helpful staff. The daily buffet breakfast are also very good spread. Nice juices and with good coffee.

Stayed here multiple times. AS always the hotel wa clean, with friendly service and a good varied breakfast.

Clean and new looking. Online check-in and check-out work well. Just be aware that you can online check-in even if your room is not available yet and no one will tell you when it is available — you will have to sit around and go to check the availability from the self-service check-in every once in a while. Great value for money with very clean and modern rooms. It was appreciated that the room had an empty fridge available for use. However, I was disappointed by the lack of coffee/tea amenities in the room.

The heating wasn't working, but after I complained, they offered an extra heater that worked really well. The location is great.

Walking to the hotel takes 16 min. Room is large. Swimming Pool is good but opening hours are very short (limited to afternoon from 3pm to 7pm). If weekend, the pool is opened for morning too but opening hours are very short too (7am to 11am). These are not convenient. The changing room door could not be closed

Excellent food and service. Rooms were little loud, one could easily hear the night club until 3 am.

Good food and close to the railway 🚃 station 🚉. So, it's easy to Helsinki if your train is around 06:00 am.

Nice hotel near market square and railway station.

Pleasant stay for one night in Joensuu. The staff was very friendly (as you'd expect in Northern Carelia overall) and the hotel was clean and overall very pleasant. The room was spatious and quiet and we enjoyed the breakfast, especially the local carelian pastries.

Best bed and air conditioning I have! Quiet and stylish hotel room. Good location with tram and train stations within walking distance. Nice and friendly staff. Just note the bathroom has no door. If not used to cold weather, you may feel cold while taking the bath. Also the luggage storage at hotel is a series of lockers. If the lockers are full, you may not be able to keep your luggage there.

Great boutique hotel with good location

The hotel is right at city center. It's clean and the breakfast is very good. A little bit down side is that there is no cafe machine in the room.

Location is about 10 minutes from the railway station and is in the middle of the shopping street.

The Crowne Plaza Helsinki has an excellent location, within walking distance to city center attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable, well-equipped, and the 24-hour service is attentive. It offers great value for money, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The room hygiene was terrible. The trash can hadn't been emptied, and the complimentary bottled water had clearly been opened and partially consumed. We requested a room change, but even the new room's carpet wasn't clean.

Good service, but the rooms are quite basic. There is no Smart TV or fridge, and no shampoo products are provided. The walls are thin. The location was fine for us. However, the parking space is small and not included in the price (14€/day). Self check-in was available, and the doors worked fine outside of service hours.

The bed is a little softer than other hotels, and the pillows are looser. Apart from these two points, there are basically no flaws. We did not buy breakfast, which is on the second floor and cannot be seen. The front desk in the lobby helped us print our boarding passes, and there is free coffee and tea, and a microwave.

Good for one night stay. Really basic, offering only bed and breakfast. Rooms quite small, not possible to open windows. Quite expensive for such a standard. For 10€ more you can have much better stay at Sokos or Scandic.

Service: A very poor experience. At 3 AM, someone suddenly tried to enter the room; thankfully, the door was secured with a safety latch. When I called the front desk, they said it was a routine staff check and they had opened the wrong room. When I checked out in the morning, the front desk staff apologized coldly, but I didn't feel any remorse at all. I will never choose this hotel again.

Very nice pool and sauna + steam room. While you're supposed to book times in advance, spontaneous use is also possible without restrictions. Breakfast is also very good, and the bar in the evening is highly recommended. Great hotel.

The sanitation is very good, the breakfast is great, but early check-out is not possible, and there is a lack of flexibility, which leads to a lack of consideration for the customer's perspective. If the next time you stay there has a more complicated itinerary, you should choose carefully.

It's close to the train station, different metros and the bus station, there are many travel options too choose from so getting around is super easy. It's close to many malls, so restaurants and shopping are all a walking distance away.

Incredible staff, right in the hearts of Tampere and within walking distance of almost everything. Public transit is extremely easy to access from here. The staff was wildly friendly and even remembered my name. I had an early flight out the next morning and they made a special breakfast box just for me. If you are traveling to Tampere...stay here. Very nice and spacious rooms with spectacular views over the city of Tampere. Good breakfast open until 12 o'clock.

Overall a good hotel. But the direction of the AC is terrible and just face our head.

We visited the spa complex. Four types of saunas, a salt room, a relaxation area, a large pool, a jacuzzi, and a bar. There is a summer terrace with a lake view. I recommend this place.

Our stay was exactly what my fiancé and I were hoping for! The room had absolutely everything needed for a ski trip. It had a spectacular view with both a hot tub and sauna. It was spacious, equipped with all the kitchen necessities, and was close to the rentals and gondola. Not too mention all the nearby restaurants and shops. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Great accommodation and centrally located. We stayed as a family in a 2 bedroom apartment and it came equipped with full kitchen, lovely seating area, double shower and sauna. The views from the apartment were amazing and with it being so central getting to all local amenities was very easy

Ruka Finland was a great location, we went with Crystal Ski. Alleged transfer was 25 mins it took us well over an hour. Also had to wait at the airport as our coach was still being used by others waiting to get in to the airport. The room was OK, with a dedicated desk. But there was no plug for charging near the bed, which was a bit troublesome. The breakfast was not very rich. There were some restaurants nearby, including a Chinese restaurant that tasted OK.

Everything was fine except that they didn't let us in a little earlier.

Food is OK but service is very slow (took about an hour to receive my order). Luckily I did not have to pay because the buffet at the hotel was closed, but I would have been angry to pay those prices. The shrimp taco was ridiculously made of just 2 shrimps. The steak was good, but an hour is to much to wait.

Mid-range old hotel We visited on 7.9-8.9.2024. The hotel is old and does not meet the requirements of a four-star hotel. The corridors have carpet and the walls are old and in poor condition. There is only soap in the shower room. There is no shampoo, no fridge and no information. If you need something, tea, coffee, water, you have to go down to the first floor and buy it at the R-kiosk. This is a good hotel for families visiting or solo travelling. All the amenities are close by and they have pub food in the hotel. The breakfast has good selection of foods.

Having spent at the hotel more than 20 days in 2025 I have to say that things have gone worse. Lets start from breakfast, selection has shrinked, e.g. you have practically 1 or 2 options for tea, fresh juice not available and now even ginger shots are gone. And if they have selection it has been exactly the same for the whole year. Lets continue with service...at the restaurant typically very slow...

Just simply amazing service!! The staff here goes over and beyond to make you feel welcome. Breakfast staff fills fresh items 5 minutes before closing so everyone can enjoy their leisurely meal... dinner staff finds a way to get a table last minute... etc. There must be something in the water here to create such an atmosphere 🤭
