Spent a few days here due to attending a conference in the city. Absolutely loved the place - now part of the Hilton chain but with real underlying character. My room was reasonably large and very comfortable

Nice hotel inside a shopping mall. A hotel situated inside a shopping mall is a first for me. Once I had found my way around I enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk to various shops and cafes
We booked a room one day in advance for one night only and found ourselves in a room properly designed for wheelchair persons, got plenty of space but looked like a hospital

Far but worth it, this is my second time visiting the resort and it looks like they are always upgrading and growing now they have small villas that you can choose to stay in they are fitted with glass in the main bedroom that offers Panasonic view while still in bed

First and foremost, the surrounding area is absolutely stunning — it genuinely felt like walking through a Christmas Carol-style winter wonderland. The cottages themselves were very comfortable and well designed
The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast and evening meals were buffet style and the food was very good, with plenty of choice. There were lots of gluten-free options, which was an excellent touch
The cottages are around a 10-minute walk to the main hotel, although this can easily turn into 20–30 minutes if you have children who want to stop for snowball fights along the way
There is also a warm laundry room, a small toilet, and an excellent sauna, which was a fantastic addition and very welcome at the end of the day

And for those going to the World Cup in Kontiolahti, the motor coach shuttle to the arena picks up and drops off in the main square, next to the hotel

There was autumn holidays the week we were at the hotel which ment that the kylpylä was very, very crowded. The showering and dressing rooms would have needed some extra cleaning during the day because of the rush
Warm water at spa, does need some renovation. Almost all the rooms are not at main hotel spa building. Long and cold walk to spa if you do not have room at main building. Breakfast nice and all did taste nice.
When we got our room keys there was said in the small envelope for our keys that we could sleep as long as we wanted and have breakfast any time we liked
We came too late for our first breakfast, but the nice man in the restaurant made breakfast bags for us to take to the room
(The staff kindly brought me a new pot to use, tho she almost put the glutenfull knive in it, so maybe just a little bit of education to the staff about gluten free and cross contamination would be good)
If maybe like those small individual packages of hazelnut spreads and jams can be added it would be absolutely perfect!

Even though I booked again the same day I checked out, they would not let me into the room until 1pm (unless I paid an early fee) despite the person behind the desk knowing my situation
We visited the spa complex. Four types of saunas, a salt room, a relaxation area, a large pool, a jacuzzi, and a bar. There is a summer terrace with a lake view. I recommend this place.

I gave it 5 stars because of amazing view and swimming experience in July. When it is hot, this is really a gem. But the breakfast is still very modest:)

We visited the hotel in April 2024. The rooms are a bit old fashioned, but it is OK. The greatest advantage is the view and the fact that the balcony is very close to the water

Peaceful and comfortable spa hotel, beautiful surroundings by a river. Small but many-sided spa which was not crowded. Good breakfast.
Also it was perfect, that we could swim outdoors after the sauna. The spa was quite decent, but nothing special. The breakfast was the worst part
Almost zero vegan options, but even without such restrictions it was really poor
Excellent location by lake Imatra with walking paths on the shore. Spa area has several pools, dressing rooms have traditional saunas and there’s one mixed steam sauna in the spa area
One outdoor pool with jacuzzi feature. Breakfast has a wide variety, but very crowded in summertime. Rooms are retro but no complaints
The only difference is that the countryside and a swimming pool on the street. Petersburg has by far the best design and the rooms for fans of saunas. Petersburg has much better slides
