Simple hostel, just what I needed. Some social activities organized by the hostel. Not very crowded on Saturday in January

Just 10mins from the city centre by tram. I got a 1Day-pass so it was very convenient. The room is clean. There is 24h supermarket next to the hostel. Highly recommended.

So great staffs. And a lot of fun activities. We really like this clean and tidy room.

All good, I would like to praise the two guys for keeping the hygiene etc for the whole place spick and span from kitchen to rooms. They are doing an excellent job tidying/cleaning it. Even though the location is served by trams and buses, it's still a bit far from the city centre and public transport is a quite expensive for a single trip.

I stayed here as my beginning of my 1month europe backpack trip. the staffs are all really friendly and nice. my room was so big and comfortable. shower, bathroom and share kitchen were so clean. I was scared of bedbugs but the linen was clean no problem. thank you!!

It was very near to the organization that I joined a program. Staff was very helpful. Place was clean and comfortable.

There is a subway station downstairs and the Papillon Cinema is next door. Alexanderplatz is close to the airport line, and it takes 40 minutes to get to the airport. Everything was good except the washroom door lock needing replacement/repair and it was not done during my stay despite the note stuck to the door saying DoNot Use The Washroom. Further, there was no other option provided for the customers.

There is no soap in the shower room, so we recommend that you bring your own! The room was a twin, but it was surprisingly large and comfortable. However, the bed is a little narrow, so it may be difficult for some people. It was a good impression for me personally.

Visited for a convention. My only complaint was that the swimming pools were really cold

Lovely place to stay at a fantastic location with amazing views and a remarkable staff that was always kind, welcoming, and wonderful to chat with. Gym had all necessary equipment. Breakfast was complete and fantastic. It is a 70's building, but that doesn't stop it from being a great place to stay at. Second time here, and will come back.

Nice to have the gym and sauna facilities. Breakfast was good and the staff spoke perfect English. Plenty of parking. We got to walk on a Frozen lake which was awesome

Being a hotel from the 70's, this is place is pretty decent - not great, not terrible. Biggest pluses being the location, the view and the swimming pool with a sauna. Breakfast is ok and the staff is friendly and helpful! The gym is a plus as well. The rooms are a bit outdated and slightly stuffy, but not something you can't cope with, unless you're used to 5-star bling bling hotels.

I have been here many times durin past decates. It is actually nice that it havnt change so much. Really retro.

A real 70's vintage feel gives the famous Vääksy hotel a peculiar charm. It has a well-stocked bar and offers a good lunch table. On weekends, well-known artists and bands are performing. The entrance fee is moderate. It's also a great place for meetings and seminars.

Highly recommended! The place is clean, the staff is welcoming, and the after-hours check-in is super easy. I loved the guest discounts on food and snacks. My stay in the Lappi room was excellent; the beds are comfy and the private lockers provide great peace of mind. A solid choice for any traveler.

No TV, no radio - that's not good enough!

Friendly service and convenient location in city centre. Clean and big rooms. Decent breakfast. Highly recommended. Baggage storage available for free but at a fee for overnight.

It's a bit inconvenient that the front desk isn't 24-hour, but it's very convenient as it's close to the city center with restaurants and shopping centers nearby. I was glad there were towels.

Great place for budget travellers, a bit off the town centre but it is walkable distance! Breakfast & Sauna included! What a bargain.

Stayed here for 4 nights a lovely spot just outside Kussamo with everything you could need and breakfast included in price...clean and quiet with very helpful staff 😀

Awesome hotel/hostel. Great location....with a beautiful lake behind it, which is frozen over ATM Wicked sauna...which was well needed after our 5 day hike along the bear trail!

Good Check in was friendly and simple, room was clean. I had an early bus and left before breakfast but they delivered it to my room the night before for no extra charge and it was delicious!

I recommend the place :) it has its own atmosphere, it was warm and clean - you could rent a snowmobile and ride around the lake and the forest in the area which was a great alternative to organized trips, the hosts also helped us organize a bonfire for which we are very grateful :) nothing was missing :) great ❤️

Although the reception was automated (no human), the codes we were provided worked fine and we had no trouble finding our room. The room was very tidy.

For a no frills stay, this worked very well. It was clean and quiet. Breakfast was adequate.

Cozy and clean place. Nice newly renovated rooms. Very friendly and helpful stuff. I had excellent tips where to go according to my interests. A lovely location just close to the see.

Visited this nice and peaceful hostel in the middle of the week. The place was easy to find and find a park for the car, too. The stuff was very nice and pollite. Common utilities and areas were in great condition. The stairs to our third floor were quite narrow, if met other in the stairs. The room was just great for short time visiting purposes, atleast. Couple issues to mention with the bathroom...

Nice place to stay felt very safe

Basically this place would have quite some potential, alas seems to be run down, not maintained and not cared for.

I did nor like the kitchen ,it was unsanitary ,refrigerator was filrhy and putric smell.. no dishes ,no eating utensils pots and pans were filthy

Personnel was not un kind. The rooms were not dirty. It is 40min away from the city centre by bus. For the price (I paid 20€ during a weekend on high season) I would come. Only thing could be better for me is more ventilation in the rooms.

I can't in good faith give this place 4 stars, but I would give it it's a solid 3: it's what you expect for the price, yet it could be better. I would call this a motel rather than a hotel. Totally great and non restrictive easy going staff. Great people economical. Great parking. A breath of fresh air away from the center and 40 euros a day parking. Close to everything

Good for an overnight stay. Our third time here once trying to catch first ferry to Tallinn. Perfect location.

Probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Really clean and quiet. Lovely kitchen and common area. Many toilets and showers- that were also clean. Staff were very nice and the location is right in the city centre. Would return

The hostel is excellent, the rooms are large and super comfortable, with great beds and curtains that make it even more comfortable to sleep well. The shower is very good, there is a hairdryer and the kitchen is really cool! It was really great. My only problem was with trip.com, which didn’t send my details to the hostel, so I didn’t have the door code when I arrived, and there was no one at reception...

There is a large common area and clean kitchen. The room is cozy as well. The only thing is the entrance of the hostel is not easy to find.

They didn’t send me any entry code and didn’t reply my email as well, I could go in just because somebody help, not the staff.

It was good .. location right in the central location . Checking in was smooth , they emailed me the passcode for doors in the downstairs and third floor .. they gave me check in , an hour early .. washroom were clean , as the kitchen too .. you can make coffees all the time , for free .. a restaurant is there , cross the street , an Malaysian food , giving buffet for 14 euro , which was real good...

About 10 minutes walk from central. Staff are nice. Near to stockmann too. You must try the salmon soup at the bistro at supermarket at stockmann.

Located inside an university residence. Rooms are a bit small, but with your own bathroom. It is a practical place if you do not want to spend a lot of money on a hotel. It is somewhat out of the city, you need a car to get there.

It was good, the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean and nice. However the whole hostel had a bit of a classroom feel to it and the keys were abhorrent. It would've probably been easier to open the locks with a lockpick honestly. I also couldn't figure out how to open the windows in the room but that wasn't a very big issue. Kitchen was quite functioal tho with the plus of an induction stove...

Excellent service, good price, very good facilities. Although it's a bit far from the city to walk there (~4Km), easily fixable by using scooters or bikes. Totally recommendable. Loved the pool!

Good value! We got an apartment with an equipped kitchen, very clean and stylish. Only issue was no air conditioning but that’s everywhere in Finland. Nice sauna and pool as part of the price. Highly recommend

The rooms are super clean. The staff is friendly. Everything is good here. It would have been better if the breakfast buffet had a bit more options.

The hotel on Suomenlinna Island was clean and had strict rules, so it was a comfortable stay. However, I was not sure if they provided towels or if I had to pay for them, so be careful.

The best place ever. Location is fantastic. I was in the female dorm. Huge windows with beautiful curtains and wonderful views. Coffee tea on the floor. Great place to stay. A very old historical building(Once a russian school on a fortress)You have to get ferry there but runs very regular.Great experience.Imaculately clean.Great staff.If I had to find a negative maybe some of it looks dated.But its a very old building.I would definatley return.

Great places, only had one roommate super peaceful hostel, ferry was absolutely on time so make sure you schedule yourself for that otherwise it’s a solid 40 mins wait in winter.

Inntourist hostel Was within easy walking distance to city centre, as it's a tower building on 9th floor ensure you get building code if arriving late as it was all locked up when I arrived and had to wait for another guest to let me in, otherwise comfortable rooms and decent shower rooms at an affordable price

For the price, it was decent accommodations. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. My only complaint was the temperature, though the unit has central a/c, there is no control of the temperature and everyine in my party was hot and had sweaty nights.

I was worried about whether I could get into the room, but I was able to contact them using WhatsApp, which I installed in Japan. The room had a refrigerator, a water heater, cups, forks, etc. It was a convenient location.

It's nice to have single rooms. Self check in.

Hakaniemi shopping hall and Tokoi beach can be seen from the window. Shopping center Redi and Korkeasaari within walking distance. A clean room, own kettle and fridge is a big plus. Clean shared toilet and shower facilities. Friendly service, uncomplicated and effortless.

The price-quality ratio is excellent. The hostel is generally trouble-free. Only some problematic guests are insensitive to the common areas. The hostel is clean, but low-profile guests can cause problems. Transportation is also excellent; a train ride just 900 meters away will take you to central Helsinki in half an hour. It's a 15-minute walk from the airport to the hostel.

Everything was perfect with me, very easy to access, bedroom clean and silence for good sleep. Also good wifi to work if needed. I recommend this!

Very basic rooms, yet clean and tidy. The check-in/check-out process with the keycode worked out well. It's close to the airport, which makes it convenient if arriving late in the evening.

It was wonderful to stay in here for a week, especially this place was surprisingly better than my earlier 4 star hotel. Thanks for keeping it clean and tidy, one suggestion to remove the metallic rod from the entry point door because it could hurt badly to someone while entering into the building.👏🏻

Perfect location for a sleepover between the flights. It's clean and comfortable, however sometimes it's too noisy inside, it's a bit expensive for that type of accommodation and you have make your bed yourself, they only give you linens. Well, the last one I've met everywhere in Helsinki, but it keeps frustrating, especially when you are tired after a long journey

Very clean and we'll managed No service at counter can be a little unorthodox for those who visit the first time.. Beware that you keycode will work only in the building assign to it, there are two hostel buildings very close to each other and the biggest confusion to almost all happens when this info is not properly communicated

Many thanks to the hostess Gittan. Panget is a homely and charming little old-fashioned guest house. Very affordable, absolutely worth every cent. I am very happy to come back - pension life suits me excellently.

Affordability was ahead of choosing this place. There was no air conditioning and the room was hot in the summer -18 too hot!

The room had a creepy feel, and the hallway was dimly lit. I wouldn't recommend it for business travelers. There was no private bathroom; I only went there because I had no other choice. It's near the airport, so the location is okay.

For a hostel without a private shower and toilet, it was totally fine for one night. Personally, I wouldn’t stay longer. The rooms were very cute, the beds were comfortable, and the temperature was good as well. I would recommend the hostel for a one-night stay.

Self check in only. I made a last minute reservation, so I didn’t receive a check in code by the time I arrived, but was able to get someone on the phone to help. Great customer service over the phone. Everything was sorted out in a few minutes. Everything was very clean in the room.

It has bed, shower, kitchen, cutlery etc. so all basic needs are covered. However it is best to let host about arrival time, as there is no reception and place can be closed. Also it is probably best to travel with someone when booking this place.

It was a small, clean hostel in Rovaniemi. The owner, a woman, was very kind and could use LINE to give directions and introduce her friends who are aurora hunters, which was very helpful. I went to a park in the middle of the night to take pictures of the aurora, and I think I was able to take some good pictures of the Northern Lights with my iPhone. The hostel was brilliant. Staff was very friendly and polite. I stayed there over 3 days. I liked everything. P.S. This is a nice place to meet funny people. This is not about the hostel but had a neighbour who had a really bad smell, just a stinky neighbour. He could not use key box for some reason even though it was very simple (LOL). Luckily he checked out so everyone could breathe again.

The hostel is small but very cozy and clean. I arrived before the check in time because I needed to leave my baggage and I didn't know about the self check in. I stayed with friends for 1 night in this hostel in Helsinki in a triple room. The shower and toilet were shared. The hostel is centrally located in Helsinki and a quick walk to all the interesting sights in town. It's a 3rd floor walk up and one of the smaller sized hostels I've been to, with only about 15 guest rooms. The common area is very comfortable and there is always someone at the reception...

Stayed here for 12 nights while attending the Wolrd JR. Hockey Championships. First time for the both of us staying at a Hostel, what a pleasant surprise and a fantastic stay we had at this hostel. I was there for 6 days and it was perfect, the guy at the reception was extremely kind, all was super clean, the kitchen is very big, the beds are very good, very close to the Santa village, they give you advice for northern lights, taxi. For being a solo traveler, staying in hostels for years, i don't really expect much. But i've had hostels in asia who were way better. Beds are hard. Location wise is only good for Santa's village but expect to pay 30 euros to get to the hostel back with a taxi. Most busses dont drive after 18:00. Also the shower area for men is open. Which means its 3 showers next to each other, but open. So no privacy...

Spacious, clean and affordable. Near to Santa Village and airport. It has every basic stuff that you need. Although I only stayed for a night, it was a good night of sleep on the comfy and warm bed. I recommend this place for all.

My daughter’s car battery was so bad that the car did not start in the freezing weather (-25 C). The hotel manager was kind enough to arrange some help.
