The hotel is situated right at the city center. This time our room was at the other building, so we had to walk to another building and took a rather older lift to our room. The room is very tidy and near and spacious. The front desk was very efficient and warm.

We got room on old building; walkway is so far away. There was some noise in the room also (maybe that’s why they provided earplugs in the room). Spent a few days here due to attending a conference in the city. Absolutely loved the place - now part of the Hilton chain but with real underlying character. My room was reasonably large and very comfortable. I didn't have any issues with the bathroom becoming waterlogged after showering. Comfortable bed with excellent pillows. Comfortable easy chair and desk chair. No complaints on that count. ...

Such a serene experience. The hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful and greenery neighbourhood. It has a big park close to it where you could take long quiet walks!

The location is great for exploring the nature outside the city by bike, and it’s only a 20-minute tram ride or a €15–20 Uber into Helsinki city center. The sea view room was worth the upgrade. However the air conditioning in the room was not very strong, and I had to go to reception to request a key to open the window. When I did, it was difficult to open and covered in spider webs.

Been many times in other cities and was always nothing but excellent. This time not all perfect. A room with a miniature sauna as such is a great idea. Very nice pool and sauna + steam room. While you're supposed to book times in advance, spontaneous use is also possible without restrictions. Breakfast is also very good, and the bar in the evening is highly recommended. Great hotel.

The sanitation is very good, the breakfast is great, but early check-out is not possible, and there is a lack of flexibility, which leads to a lack of consideration for the customer's perspective. If the next time you stay there has a more complicated itinerary, you should choose carefully.

The room is clean and tidy with a simple and stylish Nordic design style. The breakfast is rich and varied, the service is warm and moderate, the bakery downstairs is very popular, and the hotel is in a great location and you can reach everything on foot.

The room and breakfast were great! The courtyard view was gorgeous and wonderful. It was the best place I've stayed.

Everything was great as others have said. I wanted to comment especially on the restaurant where breakfast was served. Wonderful historic rooms overlooking the harbour. A highlight for me. Also worth knowing that although it did not have a restaurant serving lunch and dinner, the food served in the bar is actually very good.

Stayed at Hotel Haven for 3 nights during a visit to Helsinki for a conference and it was an excellent choice. Room was lovely, food was excellent and the staff were all lovely and very helpful. The hotel location was perfect for doing some sightseeing in the limited spare time I had. Would definitely recommend.

If you visit during the snowy season, the glass will be mostly covered in snow, so you won't be able to get a clear view of the sky.

The room was a bit small, and the air conditioning wasn't quite strong enough – I even felt a bit chilly wearing thick fleece pants. I suggest increasing the fan speed on the AC. This glass igloo offers an amazing aurora-viewing experience! Even though it was freezing cold outside, the heating inside kept us perfectly warm. We could just lie in bed and watch the Northern Lights. The hotel even has an aurora alarm, so you won't miss it even if you're asleep. The environment is absolutely beautiful, and it's only a 5-minute walk from Santa Claus Village. There's a husky park nearby, and you can also experience reindeer sledding. Fantastic hotel , we got the room with the sauna (117) and it was very spacious and super modern. Staff were very friendly and very accommodating and checked us in early. We got a fridge full of complimentary drinks and snacks. We got free access to the water park. Great location for sure near town and ski resort.

I loved this hotel. We stayed as a large family over 3 rooms. All the rooms were warm and comfortable with plenty of storage and room. We even had a sauna in the largest family room. The location is excellent, and the room is very clean and tidy, with superb underfloor heating in the bathroom. The front desk lady is not only beautiful but also incredibly kind and gentle. If I get the chance to visit Rovaniemi again, I'll definitely choose this accommodation every time.

Stayed at the Arctic Light Hotel for 3 nights, 23-25th November 2025. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. For Christmas, I splurged on what might be a once-in-a-lifetime trip with my three children. We were expecting -20°C, but it was unexpectedly warm at 1°C on the day, and we were blessed with good weather and got to see the Northern Lights – it was absolutely breathtaking! The transportation from the zoo to the resort is unclear; those using public transport can only take taxis to the park and also to the bus station, otherwise it's very inconvenient. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Upon check-in, we found the room wasn't cleaned properly, but the staff quickly addressed the issue.

The hotel facilities are new and clean, but it is difficult to get there by public transportation. There is less light pollution at night, and we are lucky enough to see the aurora. It is recommended to drive there by yourself. 

The hotel is located far from the city, about an hour's drive away. Although it is a bit far away, the aurora borealis exploded in this hotel. We stayed in a glass house and the aurora was all around us. It was very fun. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have a TV. But I highly recommend this hotel mainly for chasing the aurora and self-driving.

We stayed at Arctic TreeHouse for three nights, paying around €800 per night. While we had a lovely time overall, we feel the price does not fully justify what the hotel offers. If you're a couple, make sure to book for two people. Otherwise, the hotel charges extra if only one person is listed. The room temperature isn't adjustable, and the pillows are just okay. The hotel breakfast is decent, but dinner really isn't suitable for a Chinese palate. Overall, the service is good; they can help book activities you're interested in.

This is good vacation option for group of friends or several families (we were 8 people). We were in second half of August, so we enjoyed from plenty of mushrooms in the forest everywhere. We were in the villa located quite far from others villas (#11). Some other villas are very close each other. Lakeside sauna is good.
