My only regret, however, was that the room temperature control instructions and controls were unclear, which made it difficult to sleep due to the cold. The rooms and the service were good, but there was a misunderstanding from the beginning. When we got our room keys there was said in the small envelope for our keys that we could sleep as long as we wanted and have breakfast any time we liked. Warm water at spa, does need some renovation. Almost all the rooms are not at main hotel spa building. Long and cold walk to spa if you do not have room at main building. Breakfast nice and all did taste nice.

The location is very convenient, with a tram stop and bus stop (directly to the airport) right outside, and a subway station is also nearby. The room is simple and comfortable, and even has a washing machine, but unfortunately there's no hairdryer. The sauna and jacuzzi are great.

Room heating control did not work. It was untolerably warm the whole four days of our stay. One should be able to stay at a temperature below 21 degrees, let alone below 22 degrees. This is a) unhealthy and b) not environmentally friendly.

There is washing machine and cooking facilities inside of the studio, which is super convenient. The heating is a bit loud and not worked very well. The temperature in the room is around 20 degree, a bit cold for me but not a problem with duvet. The lounge and sauna is great! Smooth check in and check out! Definitely recommend to stay in.

Good service, but the rooms are quite basic. There is no Smart TV or fridge, and no shampoo products are provided. The walls are thin. The location was fine for us. However, the parking space is small and not included in the price (14€/day). Self check-in was available, and the doors worked fine outside of service hours.

The bed is a little softer than other hotels, and the pillows are looser. Apart from these two points, there are basically no flaws. We did not buy breakfast, which is on the second floor and cannot be seen. The front desk in the lobby helped us print our boarding passes, and there is free coffee and tea, and a microwave.

It was filled with the Aalto furniture I'd always dreamed of, and even had Marimekko-patterned cushions. It was so beautiful, I could almost imagine living in a room like that. I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Helka. The hotel is comfortable and thoughtfully designed, so it felt a bit like having a home in Helsinki. There is no reception there, and the code will be provided to you for the Hostel entry and room. Nice room and a lot of space. There are Kettel, Refrigerator, and microwave to be provided. However, you cannot leave the luggage there as there is no reception.

It was very good. Although it's a bit far from Helsinki, you can get there within 30 minutes by train or bus. Considering access to the Marimekko headquarters and the airport, I think it's a good location.

The area is in zone B , in between the city Center and the airport. There is a train from airport to reach the accommodation. When exiting the platform just look up to see the building direction. It’s is visible and around 5 mins of normal walking. Downside there may not be a check in staff all the time. Only at specific hours/day.

We had a wonderful stay at this independent hotel. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Room was charming and spacious enough. This hotel’s style takes you back to the Finnish 1980-1990s, for better or worse. Everything works, but much of it could do with some renovation. The room we had was extremely basic, the bathroom microscopic, and the sound isolation rather poor. Overall it seems well suited for families with little children, and the staff are very friendly.
