Hostel Ibedcity in Rovaniemi

I had a wonderful stay of 3 nights at iBed City Hostel in Rovaniemi and highly recommend it. The room was very clean and comfortable, which made the stay relaxing from the start. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with everything you need, perfect for cooking and spending time with other guests.

What really makes this hostel special is the atmosphere, it truly feels like a family. The vibe is warm, friendly, and welcoming. The toilets and common areas are also very clean, which I really appreciated.

The location is excellent: only a 10–15 minute walk to Santa Claus Village, where you can find most of the activities and attractions in the area. The bus stop to the city center is only 7 min walk.
There is a supermarket within 10 min walk where you can find everything you need.

Overall, an amazing experience. I definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Rovaniemi

I only stayed for one night but it was overall very good, the bed was comfortable and room was warm and clean. I rarely stay in hostels since most of them have bathrooms inside the room, so it can be quite noisy if people wanted to use shower late at night. But this hostel has shower and washroom outside of the rooms and there are multiple of them around so you rarely have to wait. All the staff and residents I met were extremely nice and helpful, I actually wished that I could stay longer just to hang out with everyone. The hostel has sauna as well, which I’ve heard is quite nice. You can also rent winter clothes, boots, book safaris etc at the hostel. And there is a grocery store about 10min walk from the hostel that has everything. It’s not too far of a distance from the airport as well as the Santa Claus village too. Overall, it was a very good stay and I highly recommend!

Great hostel if you want to visit Rovaniemi and have a polar experience. It's a nice hike from the airport and Santa's Village (both within the hour) if you don't mind the walk, I'd advise to do that :)
(I'd also recommend to book the sauna in the hostel, it's quite nice ;) )

Ibedcity hostel is very close to Santa Claus village & Rovaniemi airport with walkable distance and best location for the northern lights. I reached hostel morning 9 AM and they allowed me for early check-in since my bed was available and I was there for only one night there luckily sky was very clear. Just with 5 - 10 mins walk away from hostel could see northern lights clearly without any additional tours booking..I really enjoyed Finnish sauna for the first time in hostel and it’s just 5€ per person..Very well recommended this hostel..

I had an incredible experience staying at this hostel and can't recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, the host was exceptionally welcoming and helpful — you can really tell they care about their guests. They went out of their way to make sure everyone felt at home, and it made a huge difference.
The rooms and common areas were spotless. Everything was clean, organized, and well-maintained, which made for a very comfortable stay. You can tell cleanliness is a top priority here.
For the price, it’s honestly a steal. It’s rare to find a place that offers this level of comfort and service at such an affordable rate. Definitely great value for money.
One of the unexpected highlights was the sauna! After a long day of exploring, relaxing in the sauna was the perfect way to unwind. It felt like such a luxury to have that included in a hostel stay.

First of all I can’t understand people who are giving less stars because the staff does not speak english. I have only good things to say about this place.

My daughter’s car battery was so bad that the car did not start in the freezing weather (-25 C). The hotel manager was kind enough to arrange some help. His very friendly colleague first came to help with his car and starting cables. That did not work but the next night he charged the battery for the whole night. That did not help either and finally we had to call the tow truck. The fact that he could not start the car did not diminish the fact that he really did his utmost to help. We are very grateful for this service that many people would not have bothered to arrange. Bless you.

I was there for 6 days and it was perfect, the guy at the reception was extremely kind, all was super clean, the kitchen is very big, the beds are very good, very close to the Santa village, they give you advice for northern lights, taxi.

For being a solo traveler, staying in hostels for years, i don't really expect much. But i've had hostels in asia who were way better. Beds are hard. Location wise is only good for Santa's village but expect to pay 30 euros to get to the hostel back with a taxi. Most busses dont drive after 18:00. Also the shower area for men is open. Which means its 3 showers next to each other, but open. So no privacy and no lock on the shower room. Also lockers are fairly small. Couldn't lock my camera stuff in their.

But the people that i met here made my experience way better. Also the woman that worked here made it enjoyable.

I transfered to a hostel in the city and i find it way better for most stuff

Spacious, clean and affordable. Near to Santa Village and airport. It has every basic stuff that you need. Although I only stayed for a night, it was a good night of sleep on the comfy and warm bed. I recommend this place for all.
