staff were very helpful and nice. I liked my room a lot and the location is just perfect!!! right next to the train and bus station. the bed is comfy and the room is very very clean. breakfast was also really good I was very full at the end. thank you so much I would definitally recommend😍. I wish I could have stayed longer 🥹❤️ they let us leave our baggage in a locked room after the check-out.

perfect for our 1 night stay in Annecy. We flew into GVA and decided to break up the trip to Val Disere by staying 1 night in Annecy. Hotel des Alpes was perfect for our scenario. Location was great as we could walk around everywhere. Rooms were perfect for the class/price. No issues there. The only thing to note is that you have to go up a flight of stairs to get to the reception. There is a lift from there to go up, but, it's tiny and can only fit 1 person at a time. We used it for our luggage, which worked out for us. Can't beat this hotel for price, location, and cleanliness !

Clean room, really nice staff and a breakfast buffet with a lot of delicious things. The only thing that I did not realize when I booked is that they don't have an elevator, and the front desk is on the second floor, which is challenging when you have heavy suitcases.

It was a guesthouse similar to Airbnb, with only a few rooms and no elevator. The female staff member at the front desk was rude, arrogant, and racially discriminatory.

PS. Your response only confirms that avoiding your hotel was the right decision. Instead of addressing the issues I raised, you chose to attack, deny, and accuse — exactly the kind of unprofessional and hostile behavior I experienced on-site. What I wrote is the truth based on my own experience, and it is my responsibility to warn other travelers when a place provides poor service. Unlike what you claim, I do leave 4–5 star reviews for hotels that treat guests well — just not yours. Your dismissive and accusatory reply only reinforces the unprofessionalism I experienced. You do not need to worry about me “lying,” because I know exactly what I went through. Instead of attacking guests, perhaps take this as an opportunity to reflect on how your staff treated me. You may try to twist the narrative, but you cannot change what I experienced. Your aggressive reply only reinforces why my review was necessary in the first place.

The pros:
The hotel is located super close to the bus stations and the train station. It is also within walking distance to the Old Town and the lake.
The bathroom was renovated and the room was a good size. Stayed on the first floor in a double room; room with a double bed.
The cons:
The area near the hotel at night was a bit seedy. Many homeless people congregated near bus stations.
The hotel staff is not very helpful or friendly. Except for one gentleman, working late at night, named Bunjamin. He was very polite and willing to provide ideas for things to do.
The hotel is a bit old and the cleaning staff could do a better job.
I would recommend for a quick stay without too many expectations.

Excellent location, few meters from the station and conveniently located to explore the old city and the lake. The room was really spacious and tidy. Lovely staff and a fabulous value for your money. Pls be aware that there is no lift in the property.

wifi was totally broken during the whole stay, location is convenient that the hotel is right at the corner of train station. Walking distance to reach lakeside;

Stayed for two nights here and I really like this hotel. It's conveniently located near the train station and other amenities, landmarks, the lake, parks etc. Their staff are wonderful - especially one young lady (I'm sorry to have not gotten her name) which truly made my stay in Annecy feel very welcomed. Their room was basic but functional enough for my short stay. I'd choose to stay here again when I return to Annecy in the near future.

I have had a great stay in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and very helpful which really made my stay. Breakfast was nice with a good choice of products. It is a small hotel but it was quiet, clean and comfortable. It's ideally located between the train station and the old town. My room was a bit outdated but it was spacious and comfortable enough. All in all I would stay again!

A classic old European hotel, it has everything you would expect and some things you wouldn't normally have. For example, there are no slippers and mineral water. I suggest you bring some shampoo.
The front desk is very welcoming. Just leave your keys at the front desk when you go out.
The pizza across from the hotel is delicious
