This hotel in the heart of Rennes was recommended by a local friend. It's a good value hotel. It's right in the city center, and you can get everywhere by walking downstairs. Very well received by a charming lady who also gave me very good information on the towns and restaurants around Quimper. The room was classic, simple, efficient, but soulless, a cruel lack of decoration and finishes. Of course we are in a large chain, but still. I usually stay in hotels not far from this one. Technically, the service is okay, but especially not at this price. A hotel that lacks co-counseling. So I compare the price/service. The room is tiny, like an ibis budget. No bathroom, a shower against the window, toilet and sink opposite (closed by a door) but it's really tiny. The hotel is a bit dated. The hotel has a very good connection to the city of Dijon via a tram line. Great place with a decent price to explore Dijon.

The staff at the reception was very nice when we arrived. We traveled with our dog and he was kindly welcomed. However, the hotel itself is old and it is not well maintenanced. It could also be cleaner, the floor for instance was not mopped. Breakfast was very simple. I would not necessarily come back, but it was fine for one night.

The showerhead was very difficult to manage as it never stayed in the correct position. The wifi did not work very well or did not work at all on some of the devices we had. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room size was on the small side but decent for an European hotel of that category.

We really enjoyed everything about our stay: the room with a terrace of our own, the heated pool, the spa and the massages, the breakfast and the dinners, the location right next to the tumulus and with walking and bike trails as well as a short walk into town.

this is the most ecle ctic lovely place we have ever stayed. Absolutely loved the fact that you can even get something to eat for dinner with wine and beer at reasonable prices. Staff is excellent, helpful and casual. It's being a guest in a friend's home. Highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable, helpful staff, great location, secure basement car parking not too expensive. But: noisy heating (can be turned off at night); not having tea/coffee making in room is a deal-breaker for me. Bottled water supplied, but not every day.

The only fault was that the tea/coffee making facility in the room wasn't very well stocked. As an English visitor, the choice of an English breakfast tea would have been welcomed as well as the herbal varieties offered. There was also no milk. Whilst I am sure the concierge would have obliged had we phoned, it wasn't so important that we felt to need to call.

Close to the train station is a real bonus for early departure or late arrival. Walking distance to the old town . It is a small city!! Rooms are small, the shower cubicle is very tiny..forget turning. Power points are not well placed for charging. Could do with a better cupboard for storage too.

Entering the designated room, we discovered that it lacked electricity. There was somebody working on the issue but without any guarantee of success. The staff did not think that that was a sufficient reason to provide different accommodation. The staff at the front desk seemed to be prepared to deny help no matter what the request was.

This hotel was a post office in the 1700's. It still has some of it's old timbers and feels like you are really in old France! Room was tiny, though, and breakfast was lacking a lot.
