Hotel Hor les Lumières in Paris

The staff here were very friendly, super accommodating. It was a last minute for me and they couldn't do enough to help me. I paid around 10€ for the buffet breakfast and a city tax. Breakfast is from 7-10am. I got there at 9:50 and for me if was fine. I have black coffee and toast - I am vegetarian. I saw there was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and cold meats. The shower room is a little small but has everything you need. Dental and shaving kits available on request. Overall a very pleasant stay

I had a really nice stay at this hotel, the staff were very helpful and very friendly. I would like to see more recycling bins to enable rubbish separation into plastics, paper, glass and other. Otherwise, this is a great hotel.

Firstly, the location was surprisingly good. This hotel doesn’t look like it’s in the center of Paris on the map, but you can easily get to most tourist spots. This is especially convenient
because the hotel is close to several metro stations, such as Parmentier, Oberkampf and République. You can also find supermarkets, places to eat, and bakeries nearby.

Secondly, the staff were very friendly and helpful from start to finish. They made me feel safe every time I came back to the hotel.

The room was also a good size, and I had enough space for my super big suitcase. Warm enough when it's 0 degree outside.
It had everything I needed, like a kettle, fridge, safe, and more. Unfortunately, there was no plug for the bathtub in my room for some reason, so I couldn’t fill it with water. Fasility was not perfect like this sometimes but considering the price and everything else, it was okay overall.

I’ve been to Paris more than five times, and I can definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel is well-located and cute, recently renovated and charming for a single room. The luggage storage is very convenient. The only downside: it could be better soundproofed from the other rooms.

Perfect stay for the price. Helpful staff at the reception, beds are made daily. Close to bus and metro stops. Plenty of restaurants. It is located in an area where mostly locals hang out, no tourists and scams.

We booked this hotel because it is only 15 minutes from Gare du Nord in Paris. The previous reviews and ratings were all extremely positive, and this was backed up by our own experience when we arrived. The greeting at reception was extremely friendly and helpful, and the twin room that we had booked (although slightly small) was more than adequate for our three night stay. My only slight negative (and that's why I gave the facilities 4/5) is that the shower cubicle in the bathroom was quite small. My son and I are both almost 2m tall and it was challenging to have a proper shower - although not impossible.

The breakfast is excellent. There are two or three hot items and a very wide range of yoghurts, fruit, cheese, meats, pastries, bread, toast etc. Whatever you fancy will probably be available.

Everybody that we met throughout the hotel is extremely friendly.

The hotel is only a few minutes walk from two or three metro stations, and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel which will take you all the way down towards Notre Dame and south of the river. Basically, you can get to anywhere in Paris really easily from the hotel.

There are plenty of eating places nearby, and the canal Saint Martin is very close with some nice cafes, restaurants and bars. It's a nice place to walk in the early evening.

If you book here, you won't be disappointed, and you will be extremely well looked after. I would certainly book again (although would probably ask if there was a room with a very slightly larger shower cubicle!) But perhaps I'm just being a bit picky as all Parisian hotel rooms seem to be small.

My second time here, simple yet nice, top location. Will stay again.

Good location, near metro stop, bottles of water and tea, and coffee in the room and toiletries.
