Reviews
When we went out, we had to leave our key at the front desk, which was a bit of an old-fashioned system.
The air conditioning only blew cold air, so when I mentioned it to the front desk, they told me to use the heater. It was warm when we returned after leaving the heater on, but it got a little chilly while sleeping.
The hot water worked fine, water pressure was normal, and there were no issues with the shower at all!
We only booked this hotel for the day we were exploring the Le Marais district. I think it might be a bit inconvenient for a multi-day stay if you're planning to see all of Paris, but it's perfectly sufficient if you're just focusing on the Le Marais area.
Be aware that the nearest station (from what I saw) doesn't have escalators or elevators, and the surrounding area has Paris's characteristic cobblestone streets, so those with large suitcases should be careful! It could be tough, especially for groups of women traveling alone.
Very near to every important place in Paris, in a zone plenty of services.
Small room and spaces but with everything you really need.
Reception 24h with excellent service.
A special thank to the manager Ahtem who was extremely kind with us and helped with some issue.
Definitely the place we will come back to whenever we’ll return to Paris
We loved the service, the kindness and warmth of the front desk staff is such a great way to be welcomed to Paris after a long journey.
The room felt very clean with crisp sheets but what ruined it was the sewage smell in the bathroom. It seems to have old pipes or missing a drain flap so the bad smells just radiate. The bathroom could use better ventilation in addition and a really deep clean to remove old stains of mold and mildew in the corners. A tough environment for those with sensitive lungs, asthma, or allergies. Opened the window a lot to the room to try to air it out and that didn’t work.
I love to stay in old buildings and this one has so much potential to be charming like I’m sure it once was. The crooked stairway would be lovely without the old carpeting and showing the original flooring. The carpeted areas outside the room smell dank and could use ripping up.
Come for the location and the surrounding nightlife. Probably not for a romantic stay though, considering the smell.
We decided against the breakfast as there is a very good patisserie just 3 shops down, and a creperie over the road.
It needs a bit of tlc here and there which I think is common for Paris.
There is a small but useful lift to go upstairs.
