Located in the 9th district of Paris, just 600 metres from the famous Moulin Rouge, in 140 m from the metro station Saint-Georges Opera (line 12) and 400 metres from Pigalle metro station. It offers direct access to the Champs elysées. The sacré-Coeur and Galeries Lafayette are within walking distance. The hotel is located 23 kilometers from the airport Charles de Gaulle.

Upon check in at 1am I was assigned room 202. Upon entering room, 2 guests were in bed. After awakening guests I immediately closed door, returned to front desk to notify them of their mistake. I was then assigned room 222. Having 4 suitcases I realized that to get to my room the elevator goes up 1 floor, exit the elevator, walk down the hall towards room 114 then go up the spiral stairs to 222. After traveling for over 15 hours all I wanted to do was take a shower and go to bed. NO HOT WATER. I notified front desk after getting a few hours sleep only to be told that the entire building was without hot water and that this should have been brought to my attention upon check in. After returning from visiting attractions and over 2 days without a shower I was happy to hear that we now had hot water. The last night of my 4 nights stay I turned on the hot water pot which resulted in a blown fuse that affected that also affected the TV and the lamp. This issue was corrected in an hour. The room was very small but clean and comfortable. Other than the issue mentioned above my stay at the Hotel George was OK. With the issues I experienced with no hot water, no elevator to room and blown fuse, the amount spent for this 4 nights stay was definitely not worth it. Again, professional customer service and housekeeping staff.
If you want a nice but affordable hotel away from all the tourist traps and in a nice neighborhood, this is the place for you! It is easily connected to the rest of the city by train with 3-4 stations within a 5-10minute walk. The staff is fantastic and were very friendly and helpful, the housekeeping was top notch filling our FREE mini bar everyday and making sure we always had what we needed. The room was small but just what we needed and had a small balcony with a great view of the local neighborhood. The shower was also small but got the job done, my one complaint about the room is the lack of temp control, I couldn't cool the room down at all because the AC was centrally controlled so we left the windows open almost the whole time. Also be warned the only lift is enough for a person and a small suitcase or two people pressed against each other with no bags.
There are plenty of restaurants, pastry shops, coffee shops and grocery stores around. Moulin Rouge is with in walking distance and with the metro you can get anywhere in about 15-20 minutes. We loved the area so much that its are go to area from now on when we visit Paris.
