We were here for a week. Although the hotel ia closing for a weell needed renovation at the end of the year, the manager and the staff made our stay a very good experience. A few bumps in the way but all in all a clean place in a very good location and a very helpful staff.

Everything (forniture, taps, bath tube, beds, hair dryer, doors, air conditioning, etc), in every place of the hotel (rooms, reception), is incredibly worn, and dirty or, at the best, not working. Not the worst thing a dead mouse in the just ready room.

The hotel is in a great location surrounded by restaurants and transit stops. The room was a decent size but it was a little old and dirty. However, the bed was comfy and clean and that’s what matters. Luxembourg gardens are only a few minutes walk away. If you can get this hotel for a low price and you can manage your expectations, I say go for it.

The reception staff was really friendly and helpful, especially rico . But , the bad part is that the rooms are really small and bit old

We stayed 6 nights but never got cleaning service which is included. We asked for cleaning service but still didn't get it, they said they had a note not to forget the cleaning but... they forgot.
More problems with cleaning: when we arrived we were checked in in a room that wasn't clean since the previous customers, with their trash, bedsheets and towels still there. We were changed into another room. This room was "cleaned" but surprisingly dirty with stains on the curtains, on the light switches, etc. We complained few times but "the manager" was never there and ended up being offered a compensation of 34€, corresponding to a 4% discount.
So... overall not great.

The only reason to stay in Villa Luxembourg is the excellent position. Internally the hotel is old, the quality of the cleaning service is poor (in 5 days our room was cleaned only 2 mornings), the moquette smells bad. Very high potentiality, but very low maintenance.

Very hot rooms, uncomfortably hot at times unless the window is constantly kept open. Quite rude and basic service and high price for what you get considering how basic it is, although very comfortable beds and fridge/kitchenette provided
