Hôtel de Charonne in Paris

The hotel was newly renovated, the interior was very well decorated and warm. The rooms & especially bathrooms were very clean. The staff were very helpful.

The hotel is located in the 11th Arrondissement, close to restaurants and bars. The closest metro station was a 3-4 minute walk. The only downside for us was that it’s not walking distance to any of the major touristic cites, but since it was so close to the metro we didn’t have much of a problem with transportation. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Hôtel Folie is a true gem: the cleanliness is spotless and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Thanks to the comfortable beds and quiet atmosphere, the sleep quality is excellent. The location is top-notch, situated in a vibrant neighborhood with great transport links. A fantastic experience that I highly recommend for anyone visiting Paris!

1. The walls are thin…🌝I can follow the conversation next door... My room is also right next to the staircase, you hear people going up and down stomping on the stair at 3am.
2. The space is tight, both in the room and in the communal corridor. I dont mind a small room at all when travelling. But the communal corridor is problematic. The hotel has cleaning trolley, washing bags blocking the corridor during day, you would struggle to get through with any suitcase larger than a carry on. For a newly renovated place that has only been used for two months, you can tell everyone is struggling from the scratches and marks left on the newly painted walls

It was pleasant stay and staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are on the smaller side but are clean and well cared for. While the area may not be the most picturesque part of Paris, the location is convenient, with a nearby metro station and a good selection of restaurants within easy walking distance. Overall, a comfortable and clean hotel.

It is a good service and the rooms smells very good and it’s clean. And the hotel is near to many shops places and restaurants.

Very friendly staff, the rooms are very cozy, extremely small from what I'm used to but nice... though there was a smell as we first arrived dissipates after some time.

This was the second time that I stayed at this hotel and each time the same gentleman was at the desk, prompt to help, generous in his responses and offers of help, and polite but not patronizing. The rest of the staff was great, too. Granted, unlike some, I do speak French and was polite to them, but their readiness to offer whatever I needed was impressive still.
The first time, I had come with my wife and four kids: they took very good care of us and the children had a memorable experience there. This time, I was by myself but still treated so well.
Neat little neighborhood: modern but classic Paris; not far from all the sites - I walked to Notre Dame, etc., in under an hour.
