It was a very quaint stay, however the room was quite cold.

We had a wonderful stay at Maison Saintonge. The hotel is utterly charming and impeccably clean, with that warm, intimate Parisian feel. Yes, the rooms are small but that’s completely standard for Paris. The location is fantastic: right in one of the coolest neighbourhoods, with great cafés, boutiques, and atmosphere right on your doorstep. We’ll definitely be back. One small tip: rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy at night, and you may also hear neighbours next door or above. Nothing dramatic, but light sleepers should definitely bring earplugs—or request a non–street-facing room to maximise comfort. Highly recommended!

My first visit to Paris and I stayed in La Marais as recommended by a friend. This hotel was in the perfect location and as a solo traveller I felt very safe. It was close to the Notre Dame and the river and I travelled around very easily on foot or water taxi rather than the metro. The room was small but perfect - had everything I needed and a really comfy bed, the most important part! The staff were lovely and friendly, especially Ismael at the front desk who went out of his way to help me, including recommending the best pain au chocolat in the area! I felt really welcome and taken care of during the two nights I stayed there. This hotel had the charm and character I expected from Paris and I will definitely be back one day!

I'll be very honest about this place. It's set in such a great area - for restaraunts, cafes, shopping.. A+ area! It's a very small boutique hotel, which is fine however, there are barely any staff working there. I would say 1 person at the desk who is in charge of everything. Sometimes there's an extra person. Rooms are interesting looking and cute, however there is a huge issue: noise. The room makes a very weird noise at night and I honestly couldn't sleep the first night at all. Facilities aren't great - you can do better to be honest with whatever price you are paying for this hotel. Even if you sacrafice on location and go to somewhere further, maybe its better because you get a better hotel.

Very friendly staff. Small but very charming rooms with adorable breakfast room.

How I wish I could give half stars because I would give this hotel a 3 1/2. But since that’s not possible, I bumped it to a 4 because of its perfect location in the Marais. Shopping, bars, restaurants, the Pompidou and the Picasso Museums are all very close. And it was only a 15 minute walk to Notre Dame. Other pluses: air conditioning! A really comfortable bed. Nice toiletries. However, our room was ridiculously small. I had to put my suitcase on the bed to open it! And no windows. Our friends’ were down the hall and their room was a typical small French room. Tight, but livable and with two big windows. I hoped we could switch to a similar room but was told the rooms were the exact same size, just configured differently. So we were stuck in our dark, cramped room. Which is #201, by the way! It was only for one night, so the AC and great bed did the trick. The included breakfast was terrible. Not even fresh coffee, just machines. But there are literally cafes everywhere nearby, so again: location. We probably wouldn’t stay here again, but in a pinch it is in a terrific part of the city.

My husband & I stayed here for 6 nights in May 2025. We paid extra for an “executive room”& it was tiny. We could barely fit our 2 suitcases in the room. We had a bathtub with a shower nozzle but no place to hang it. Therefore every time we showered the entire bathroom was soaked with water. I asked Ishmael for a refund after 1 night & was refused . He would not give me my money back. It was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable having to stay for 6 nights in such a cramped room. I do not recommend staying here.

Amazing hotel in the perfect location. My son and I each had our own rooms, they are small as most are but well equipped, clean, well decorated. My room had a big window opening up to the street. The employees working the front desk were very helpful with everything we needed. I would recommend for solo travelers as I felt very safe. Comfortable beds, with coffee maker, and AC.

Very sweet little hotel. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was a strong smell of bleach in the room upon my arrival.

Very kind staff and great location, but as a light sleeper I feel I need to share with others who are in a similar situation that this is a very noisy hotel. I asked for a room in the back courtyard as I was told it would be more quiet, but the reality is that you can hear everything from all the other rooms on the stairs all the time.Just good for people to know.

I just loved my stay at this hotel. Location is excellent and costumer service is just outstanding… Mateo went above and beyond, this kid was amazing, so attentive to details and such a positive energy and a smile that lights up any room. I would definitely go back. Thank you Mateo and Usama for everything, O wish you the best.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience here. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We left something in our room and realized when we were back in the States and they were kind enough to help send it back. So grateful for their time and help! They have delicious coffee and food on site too. Would stay here again in a heartbeat

We absolutely loved this hotel and would highly recommend it to others. The hotel itself was beautiful, from the lobby cafe to the lounge to the room itself. The room was on the smaller side (which we fully expected being right in the heart of the city), BUT we were pleasantly surprised by how things were arranged in the room to maximize the space. The closet shelving, luggage rack, and desk all provided extra space for our things so that we didn't feel too cramped in the room. Everyone at concierge was incredibly helpful in answering our questions, providing recommendations, and even letting us use their luggage scale. The location of this hotel is excellent, you're right in the middle of the Marais and can easily walk to many things including the metro. We loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

Wow! Beautiful little hotel in a fantastic location. Away from the crowds but close enough to not spend a fortune on transportation. The cafe had wonderful options. The service was outstanding. Every person working there was extremely helpful and responsive to all our requests. My only wish would be a late night snack menu as we arrived home late a few nights and were too tired to venture out again. Plenty of wine and champagne to drink (which we loved to enjoy in the cute salon) but no small bites to go with it. We had a great time on our girls trip and will be back.

Staying here made our Paris trip truly special. The hotel is small, beautifully decorated, and full of personality. It sits in a lovely, vibrant neighborhood that felt both authentic and upscale—just minutes from amazing restaurants and boutiques we wouldn’t have found without local insight.
The team was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. Every detail—from the cozy breakfast to the soft lighting in the rooms—was perfect.
We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return. Merci for the unforgettable memories!
