White Shino Hostel in Gudauri

I have never given a bad review in my life, but after this experience I have to. We had a miserable stay at White Shino Hostel, I strongly recommend you do not choose this booking. We initially booked a two bed room with WiFi and a Mountain View for two nights. When we arrived after the check in desk opened, they told us that our room was not available until after we had dinner. When we came back, he showed us to “our room” - a single bed instead of the two person room. After we noticed this and complained that it was not what we booked, we were informed that they did not in fact have any available two bed rooms. The hostel initially tried to negotiate a switch in rooms so we could have what we asked for, however, the room would not be ready until after 10:15 at night, and it would not be clear from the previous group. We requested to receive some of our money back, and the manager initially agreed to the deal. He then backed out of the deal five minutes later, saying we can spend the first night free, get our money back, but not have the second night. We asked to pay for the second night because we did not want to leave but they declined the offer and insisted we got out after the first night. This was over a telephone call with the manager telling me to get out of his hostel. He was extremely rude and inconsiderate and he made our experience so difficult. This seriously impaired our plans in Gudauri. In addition, there was no WiFi in our room, there was no Mountain View, the walls were super thin and kept us up all night, and the bathroom was terrible, it was well below an average standard. The room was also freezing. The only positive was the front desk, who was friendly and worked hard to try and give us a negotiation. He was such a nice person, he was the only good thing to come from this miserable experience. Do not book this location.
