Hotel Carpe Diem Gudauri in Gudauri

I stayed at this ski resort at a price point comparable to other premium hotels that offer significantly higher quality and standards. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations for this level of pricing. Check-in was smooth and professional, and the location is excellent — both are definite positives. That said, several key areas were very disappointing: Breakfast was poor in quality. The food felt unfresh and lacked the standard you would expect from a hotel in this price range. The room was not properly cleaned. The overall feeling was unhygienic, and the beds in particular felt extremely dirty, which seriously affected comfort and sleep quality. The spa was in unacceptable condition, with visible mold in multiple areas. This is especially concerning for a wellness space where cleanliness should be a top priority. Overall, while the location is great, the hotel does not justify its pricing. Many other premium-category hotels at the same price point offer far better cleanliness, food quality, and overall comfort. Significant improvements are needed to align the experience with the cost.

We came to the hotel at 2 p.m, Which was exactly the time for check in. They ask us to wait while the room will be ready and we had wait more then 1 hour. But when we came to the room, we found that it was freezing cold, we realized the heater wasnt working (the temperature outside was -13). We called to reception and asked for help, about 1 hour later the maintenance man came to fix the problem, but the heater still wasnt working. So over the next 2 hour's he returned to our room 3 times, but never got the heat to work. We asked reception to please change our room or refund money (about 400 dollars for the night) and when they tried to move us to another room, the heater in the new room did not work either. Frustrated we returned to our original room. The manager came to our room and finally fixed the heater (Battery) around 9pm, then after the manager left, about 20 minutes, the heater ( battery) started spraying water all over our floor, half the living room was flooded before i could get maintenance to return to our room to stop it. About an hour later the manager returned with two bottles of wine and apologies, but we don't drink alcohol. I am very very disappointed with this experience, no discount, or free room ( upon next visit) , no dinner at the restaurant offered, just 2 bottles of wine to people who do not drink alcohol. I feel i wasted my money and my wife was very upset, this was our first night away from our children in years.As a platinum member please help u

Small and dusty room, without tv and conditioner. no swimming pool with hot water. Disgusting food. Smell is terrible. No place for entertainment

The location of the hotel is perfect. The breakfast was good. The room was very small. Only one stand night can fit on one side .the other side of the bed is almost sticking to the heating radiator. The smell of the alike hotel bedroom, is very stinky. I asked them to change my room they denied without even taking notes or promise me anything.I asked a second time after 2 days. They showed me 2 rooms with same smell. And although big surprise they said if I move to a "biiger" room I have to pay the difference and big amount as she said. After few minutes she called me in the room to inform me that if I moove to that room I won't pay any extra. The photos in the *********** web site is completely incompatible with the reality. I have photos and video of the room (416). They sent A maintenance Staff, he just put a chemical treatment liquid. Without checking the root cause of the pb. The timing of the breakfast is very tight (from 8 to 10 am) No uniform for the restaurant staff. They are putting their own clothes !!!???? (Big question of hygiene. There was a wall blocking the view, only 90° view angle available.

This hotel offers a very poor experience in terms of service and room quality. The breakfast is subpar, and the staff in the main restaurant are exceptionally rude and unaccommodating. They appear indifferent to guests’ needs and act unprofessionally. I do not recommend this establishment. If you want to enjoy your time in Gudauri, I suggest choosing a different hotel.
