Natali Metekhi Palace Hotel in Tbilisi

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Velvet Hotel in downtown Tbilisi, near the Avlabari underground station. My experience was 100% positive.

The breathtaking view from the terrace truly set the tone for a memorable stay. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the availability of water in the rooms was a thoughtful touch. The complimentary high-speed wifi was of excellent quality, which was a big plus for me.

Furthermore, the convenience of having all necessary facilities nearby added to the overall convenience of the stay.

The highlight of my visit was celebrating my husband's birthday at the hotel's restaurant on the terrace. The selection of meats and wines was impressive, and the quality was outstanding.
Excellent breakfast selection was a delightful start to our days. The quality and variety of choices ensured there was something for every palate.
All in all, I would highly recommend Velvet Hotel to anyone visiting Tbilisi. The combination of a prime location, scenic views, cleanliness, and excellent amenities makes it a great choice.

Our time at Velvet Hotel was marked by a sense of tranquility and understated elegance. The terrace offered a peaceful vantage point, with views of both the Mother Georgia monument and Tsminda temple. This natural beauty provided a sense of calm and reflection that left a lasting impression. The breakfast selection was a quiet pleasure, offering a thoughtfully curated array of options that catered to different tastes and preferences. Our celebration in the restaurant on the terrace, marking my husband's birthday, was a cherished moment. The quality of the meats and the carefully selected wines complemented the occasion with a subtle sophistication. We would like to extend our thanks for the unobtrusive yet attentive service provided by your team. It contributed to the overall sense of ease and comfort during our stay. Stayed at the Economy Twin Room for four nights this September 2023. My booking confirmation indicated that the room “features a hot tub, a private entrance as well as garden views”. I can verify that I had none of that – no tub, no private entrance and no garden views. Instead, we got a room at the first floor with windows that do not open and a view of the street. But that’s hardly anything to complain about. To be fair, the room we got had two immaculate single beds and a clean bathroom with gold details. There’s a mini-fridge, a wardrobe and a small TV in the room. One of Velvet Hotel’s strengths is the staff. They were polite, results-focused, cheerful and attentive. The location is good – there’s a Carrefour, a bank and a sky bar nearby. Plus, Europe Square is within walking distance. The hotel also has a restaurant at the fourth floor but we never tried it. We opted out of the breakfast buffet but they offer it for 25 GEL per person. This hotel is a good option for families, couples and solo travellers. Will keep it in mind for our future stays in Tbilisi.

Nice location, near to the tourist attractions, restaurants pubs clubs are at 10 minutes walking distance. Rooms are spacious, with balcony and hill view. Only drawback is without breakfast 😑
