Extremely overpriced for what this hotel offers.
Everything feels outdated — the bathroom is old, fittings are worn, and overall the room feels tired and far from modern. This is not comparable in any way to another hotel, where we previously paid half the price and had a much better experience and staff presence!
There is no real staff presence, no visible security, and the hotel feels largely unattended. Check-in is automated, there is no proper reception service, and no restaurant or evening facilities. For the price charged, this does not feel reassuring or welcoming at all.
Overall, it feels like an old motorway hotel charging mid-range prices. If it were cheap, expectations would be different — but at this price point, it is simply poor value for money. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

Update: The hotel responded publicly but did not address the absence of staff/security, night disturbance after 22:00, or unrestricted access from the underground parking. No compensation or explanation was offered.

I had an absolutely delightful stay at the Hotel PLAZA INN Karlsruhe Nord! From the moment I checked in until checkout, everything was smooth and efficient. The staff were extremely courteous and always ready to help with a smile. The room was comfortable and beautifully maintained, providing a perfect setting for relaxation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

This hotel is the BEST! I chose this location primarily for one reason: How wheelchair accessible it is. I was not disappointed! The entrance leading to the front door is zero-entry, which means no stairs, no curb, just roll right in! There is an elevator, which was so important. And the room itself was very wheelchair friendly!

We chose a room with a kitchenette, and again, we were not disappointed! It was great having the fridge and the ability to cook. They even provided dishes, cups, flatware, and some basic pots and pans. So we didn’t have to eat out constantly! And bonus: There is a Lidl within walking distance! 😍

The room was so clean and cozy. And they gave us all the towels we needed, and the bathroom was very nice and modern. We truly felt comfortable!

Finally, I HAVE to mention the wonderful people who work here! The front desk people were absolutely wonderful, and so helpful to us! They really made us feel like we were staying with friends! And the people who keep the hotel clean… Well, I didn’t actually get to see them, but they clearly are some hard-working people who keep the place looking so nice and clean! I have to give everyone who works here a big thumbs-up! 👍😃

Old hotel that was recently renovated. Ideal for a 1 night stop. Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel staff was very nice. Family friendly. Classic hotel breakfast at 13 euro. Nice that children don't have to pay. We'll definitely come again.

Proper hotel for a short trip away from home.

Although the location isn’t very convenient when you need to get around Karlsruhe, the personnel is more than happy to help you get a taxi.

Rooms are very spacious clean and setup with the right amenities. In the morning their breakfast is from 6 AM to 10 AM which allows you to sleep in if needed.

A decent hotel to stay for a night or two with good service and air conditioning.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, but the king size bed was really just 2 beds put together and they spaced out during the night lol.

WiFi is available and steady.

We didn’t stay for the free breakfast but seemed promising.

Friendly staff available in English and German are quick to help.

Parking is easy.
