Hotel Theophano in Quedlinburg

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Theophano. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices. If we return to Quedlinburg, we will definitely stay here again!

We booked this hotel a year in advance as we know during Christmas market time is very busy and we requested a room with view of market on the 2nd floor. Where we had stayed once before and had fantastic views from every window in our room. When we finally arrived after searching for their parking ( very difficult to find) we checked in & were told our room was not on the 2nd floor as requested but on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator and you must lug your bags up yourself a very large number of steps which was very uncomfortable for me as I had a hip replacement and also have issues with my knee. This climb was extremely difficult. Once in our room we discovered the market view was nothing like the view from our requested room and you literally had to open the window and stick your head out to take a picture praying you wouldn’t drop you phone or camera. You would think making a reservation so far in advance with a specific Room request could be honored. We returned to the front desk to find out why we were not given the room we wanted. We were told that room was not available as it had plumbing problems. However when we left the hotel and looked at the building that rooms lights were always on like someone was staying in it. The hotel has a front door entrance but guests must use the side door exiting into a side street vs. directly into market. Although a nice place this time was disappointing. If returning to Quedlinburg again likely will look for other accommodations.

Brilliant location, genially restored building, the rooms are large with all modern comforts but keep a romantic old flair. The personnel is kind and attentive. Breakfast wasn’t bad but kept being smaller or larger according to...no one knows what!

A very pleasant hotel with cozy and friendly atmosphere. It’s located at the centre of the town. We loved this historic building (over 300 years old) and yet the room is well equipped and the interior is newly refurbished. Very nice breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Theophano. The location is perfect, right in the town square. Rooms were large, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel.
