The room was very cold, the beds were uncomfortable, overall I would say never again for that price. The reception staff was unprofessional, it took more than 30 minutes before we finally got the room which we had booked online in advance. Breakfast was good. Fair size family suite in fair price. Restaurants are expensive and not as you expect them to be. Service is excellent, room is clean and cozy.

Very clean apartment, plenty of space for two small families or one large family. Loved the LED lighting. Staff were very friendly; from the desk worker to the bartender. Parking was also really easy even with a seemingly busy hotel.

Staff was friendly and helpful with providing information for transportation. The room was amazing and spacious. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi next to the bed and the patio view. Breakfast had a great variety and was delicious.

Second time we stayed at this Hotel. Close to entrance Europa Park through the Hotel Bell Rock. Lidl and Edeka and a Bakery close by! Apartment big enough to sleep 7 people, with Kitchen and a small terrace. Only one bathroom though! And the shower sets everything under water in the bathroom. Great location, great breakfast, and a great pool. However, we paid for an extra bed in the room, and when I went to put my daughter to bed, I noticed a strong urine odor. It took a very long time to get a replacement bed brought to the room. When I mentioned the issue at checkout, staff were unwilling to make it right, even though we paid for a bed we couldn’t use at first. Very disappointing.

Staff was outstanding. I’d like to mention the little lady at breakfast. She was so pleasant and nice to talk to. Another lady who stood out was the blonde lady at dinner who was very attentive and friendly! And the young man who helped us in the mornings since he spoke English the best. Thank you!

First time in black forest Great location, short walk to train station and a lot of trails for hiking. Hotel staff was amazing ( special thank you to Michael, Ivanna,and Vannaren Yani). Room is spacious and clean,and the breakfast is ready good too.Totally recommended.

Gengenbach is a lovely small town only eight minutes on the train from Offenburg. Reichsstadt Hotel and Restaurant is in the middle of town and only a short walk from the station. Great location in the centre of Gengenbach. Nice to find a pool and spa facilities in town hotel. The apartment was small but well-equipped. One drawback was the lack of air conditioning which meant opening the windows onto a noisy bar. We did not receive our welcome drinks. We were a huge family (23 people) from all around the world meeting for our annual vacation. Great hotel in a brilliant location just 10 minutes walk from the centre and attractions and 20 minutes walk from railway station. Good size rooms with cosy decor, great shower and comfy beds. The room could have been a bit cleaner. There was noticeable dust around the skirting boards.

Great location but upon arriving into our room we discovered that the bathroom had a rotten B smell coming from the base of the shower. We complained and it was immediately attended to and fixed! Bed was comfy and we heard no outside noise

It was conveniently located in the center of Freiburg, and the hotel was clean. However, they charge a city tax separately, and I don't think that's the hotel's problem.

They need to improve immediately We stay 4 nights, 3 times in a row the towels were not changed without our request, twice the bed linen was not changed, once the room was not cleaned at all. Besides, it's not a good idea to put two twin beds together and to call it double bed.

There is no air conditioning, it's so hot. The breakfast is OK. There are many elderly people who are doing rehabilitation next to us.

Nice property in a quiet location. The crowd was definitely much older than I expected (all grey hair with a lot of canes or walking sticks). I believe that there is a physical therapist located nearby. It did matter. My only complaint was that the room didn’t have AC and it was warm that evening. They provided a fan and it was enough for the heat.

Pleasant stay Pleasant stay overall! Very clean and comfortable except that the beds were very very firm/hard. Also the A/C seems more like a fan than traditional cooling. Fortunately the weather was cool and breezy so we were able to open the windows.

Good ubication. Close to public transport and with a supermarket in front. If you go by car there is a gas station 200 meters away. Spacious room and food. Correct mattresses. Pillows could be improved. Ok bathroom with ok water pressure and hot-cold ok. The 24 hour reception works well and they were very friendly.

The hotel asked us to pay again when we checked out. It does not make sense to ask a traveling guest to bear the burden of providing payment evidence. It ruined the good mood of travel in the following days.

Authentic German atmosphere. Staff is friendly, breakfast is good. the room was a bit old fashioned but very clean. The closed position to the motorway to Basel (7/8 mins) makes this hotel a good point to stop for the night during long transfers.

Hotel is ok for the money but at the expense of other stuff Noise - heating unit starts every night 1:40 and 7:40 on the morning making a noise that will wake you up. It is hot in here! It is an excellent hotel. It is modern and new. Exceptionally clean and great service. Except, there is no air contdition per se. What they have as a ceiling cooling is not sufficient enough for a comfortable stay. Room temperature was easy 77F - 25C plus. If you are a cold natured traveler, I would certainly recommend the stay.
