I liked the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The room, the gym and the spa-area were beautiful. Unfortunately my room was not totally clean. I found a few long black hair on the bed. I have very short blond hair, so they were not mine. I stayed in a room called "Harz Nester". The bed was very hard. For me that's okay, but I know many people who would have had a bad night in this bed. When I wanted to have dinner, there was no table available. I asked to eat in the bar area or in my room, because I wanted to go to the spa after dinner. Sadly the staff didn't offer me another possibility to eat. So I had to go to the spa before dinner and couldn't stay as long as I wanted to, as the kitchen closed at 9pm. All in all I would come back, because the price was good, but there is room for improvement.

Great facilities, swimming pool and several saunas. Great food quality. Very polite staff. Comfortable beds. Rooms towards the road can be noisy but excellent three pane windows cut all road noise away. Very good value for money.

Don't be fooled by the first sight of the building. Great, cozy hotel. Excellent value for money! Delicious breakfast, great bar and very nice, competent staff. Everything is clean and tidy. Will definitely come back!

We enjoyed a few days of relaxation here and recharged our batteries by hiking. The food was delicious, a compliment to the coast. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Thank you very much, keep up the good work, we will definitely see each other again.

My wife and I stayed here in January while visiting our daughter. The hotel had been renovated which was still a work in progress and there was a barrier in front of the hotel that made it difficult to find the entrance. The check in was long and ridiculous with a tablet that you have to do yourself with the staff just standing there and watching you. I guess no one wants to talk with people anymore. The room was quite small and so was the bathroom but it was clean at least. The spa area was okay and the pool was nice but the water was fairly cold and not heated. The problem we had the most with our stay was that the hotel is pet friendly and there were dogs literally everywhere. In the restaurant, in the lobby and again in the restaurant for breakfast, there were dogs! My wife has a dog allergy and we tried going to breakfast sitting far away from the dogs as we could. Then a couple sat down directly behind us with there dog. We notified the staff that my wife was allergic and they totally dismissed our concerns and said they were a pet friendly hotel and that there were designated areas for the dogs in the restaurant. Which is completely absurd because the dogs were sitting everywhere in the restaurant. With Germany and there hygiene standards, I find it completely appalling that they allow dogs to sit in the restaurant and even more that the dog owners rights have priority over a human life! We will never be back to this dog hotel spa again.

Basic room, good spa features
Not sure about the spa experience as I only stayed for one night

The entire hotel has a very nice atmosphere, great design, the lobby is very comfortable and inviting. They offer several different saunas including infrared, there's an amazing comfortable spa lounge area, a well equipped gym, a very nice pool, resting rooms, a library room, and open space areas/terraces. They also offer massages and beauty treatments (I haven't tried anything though). The location is great because it's near the forest and at the same time just a couple of minutes on foot from some main attractions, and from the main pedestrian area with lots of little cafés and restaurants. Every day there's an info board in the lobby about what they recommend to see that day, hiking paths suggestions, what's on the menu that day, and so on. They offer a very nice breakfast buffet and I particularly liked that there was coffee and tea additionally served next to the reception during breakfast time (convenient if one eats a bit later but wants to have just something warm to drink an hour or two before breakfast; or even to take away). There was also always a bowl of apples to take for free 😊 The dinner was a 3 meal choice or a pizza, and one of those 3 options was always vegetarian 🙌 The staff was super helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place and I'll certainly be back :)

The Nr. 1 position in wellness hotels in Niedersachsen is well deserved by this hotel. Coming out of the various saunas, I felt like a new person. Perfect for relaxation after the stresses of work.
