Hotel Vintage am Bundesbank Bunker in Cochem

We stayed for three days there. The hotel itself it's good for the price. However, that the receptionist does not speak a single word of English is concerning for a hotel.

We arrived and she didn't even know how to tell us our room number, or where it was located in English. Later, we wanted advice for what to visit and she couldn't understand not a single word. From that moment on, she literally stopped speaking to us, and her attitude being very rude and unfriendly, for the checkout she did not even say a single word to us but took our cards and gave us the factuur. Not even a "Did you enjoy?" Or "Was everything good?". That really made a bad impression and feeling on us. Even if it's the only downside about this hotel.

It has a great location, 15 min walk to the center while still conserving the peace and nature.

The rooms are quite renovated, nothing special, but all you need for short stays. The rooms very clean, and beds are super comfortable. However the pillows are terrible, they need to be replaced.

The breakfast is the top part of this hotel. The food is fresh, it has everything, cheeses, breads, croissants, fruits, eggs, bacon, jams, etc. Delicious! Plus, there was a young men during breakfast that was insanely attentive and friendly, even asking us if we miss or want something else for the breakfast. Great, great, great!!!

We recommend the hotel, but also English lessons for that girl and being a bit more friendly, we are customers, we should not pay if she is having bad days, even if it's understandable as humans, because we could have had a better feeling if it was not for her.

A pleasant hotel with free parking. Slightly let down by lack of a proper bar (although some drinks are available after hours) and a torn curtain in the room. The bed and bathroom were great though, and there’s an hourly bus service if you don’t fancy walking back from the town centre. Overall a good choice for Cochem and the surrounding area.

The location was a little secluded but walkable to restaurants by the river. The room was clean and spacious. I recommend this hotel if you can’t get anything closer to the city.

Great checkin; so-so room for $171

Booked this hotel when I was looking for a hotel for 2 people in the Cochem region.

When we arrived in Cochem earlier than planned (with our luggage) on Saturday, we contacted the hotel reception to ask if it was possible to leave the luggage in the room or at the hotel reception, we were in Cochem 1 hour earlier than planned, 1 hour earlier than the check-in time of the hotel (namely around 2/3 pm).
During the hot summer day, we were kindly welcomed by one of the reception staff and she helped us with the check-in.

We were given a small "tour" of the hotel, where we could find everything, where breakfast was, and how the system worked if we wanted something from soft drinks or wine, because there was a vending machine downstairs and a fridge where wine and champagne is stored in it.
All very neatly executed, and oh yes coffee is available for free during your stay.

Very tidy room, with all the trimmings you could possibly need, hairdryer/safe/walk-in shower...Just a delight and very clean.
Good bed and no dust to be found in the room!

Breakfast in the morning was between 8 and 10 and you could really enjoy it, all fresh products.

Oh yes, even after checking out we were allowed to leave our luggage at the reception until 5 pm. Super nice!

All in all, definitely worth booking a room there.

Very nice place to stay, rooms were very good and the lady at reception was super friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. It's a bit of a hike to the main part of the village but it was a nice walk.
