A hotel with very friendly personal and amazing rooms. Every single one is different and we were in Malolo, at a Fiji beach house. I really loved the room and wonder how the other ones are. The hotel is on the main street of the old town, so everything is close: shops, the university and a bit further the way up to the castle.

It is a very interesting hotel, each room representing a certain city from around the world. Mine being a coastal city, the surprises are pleasing.

We loved the central location of this hotel on the main pedestrian street amongst shops and restaurants. Our rooms were Roma and Peking, both of which were highly unique, very clean and comfortable. The staff we encountered were super friendly. Parking outside is not possible, so we’d recommend you drive to the end of Theatrestrausse to where you can see the pedestrianised part, and take your baggage to the hotel. If you don’t have a roof box or high vehicle, there are plenty of underground parking options (the closest being P11 one street over on Sandgasse near the university). If you do have a roof box, P10 parking has enough height (even though underground) – on foot this is some way from the hotel (especially if you have lots of bags). Overall would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel almost a year ago. The rooms are themed and have basic amenities, and the location is great. Reception was friendly and breakfast was decent.
The reason I am giving 1 star is due to a very serious safety concern. I was staying alone, and in the middle of the night a drunk man was wandering the floor. I am not even sure if he was a guest. He tried opening my door—I stayed completely quiet, hoping he would leave. Instead, he found a staff member and convinced them that my room was his. Shockingly, the staff member opened the door without verifying his identity. I was inside and immediately shut it back.
The staff member did knock beforehand, but as a solo female traveler, I had no way of knowing who was on the other side. They also never checked the man’s ID, which made the situation even more unsafe. This was by far the scariest experience I’ve had while traveling, and I do not feel that the hotel took guest security seriously.
The next day at checkout, I addressed the incident, but it was brushed off with just a casual apology. While I would recommend the hotel for its location and themed rooms, I strongly urge them to take guest safety more seriously and step up their security measures.

I didn't appreciate every room was themed so perhaps my fault too. The New York room was a little old fashioned. my main issues were no air conditioning in an upstairs room in 30 degree days wasn't good. No fridge in the room. No bucket for ice when I asked for it. Great location and the front door is staffed during day time hours but little of the hotel luxuries if that is what you are after

Unique is the location on the main (pedestrian) street, while the carpark (and main attractions) are not far away. The room amd bathroon are spacious. Daily cleaning is only if you ask for it. There are also no tea and coffee facilities in the room.only a bottle of water

Okay hotel in a great location. All rooms have a different theme. We were in Wein which has seen better days. At night it can be noisy coming from the restaurant & street below.

We stayed at this hotel for three days at the New Year. The setting is excellent, though it took a bit of walking with our luggage to access, and get around stairways inside to access our room. We knew of the themes to the room, but were pleasantly surprised with the interesting character. We stayed in Malolo and Down Under. Malolo was set up as a Fiji cottage which was very cool, though my one complaint was that the outer space was under lit and so felt very dark. The beds were kind of standard and not super luxurious. The staff were kind, and the overall this was a good choice for a unique experience.
