Altstadthotel Schex in Altotting

Unfortunately, this hotel is not recommended at all, and the price-performance ratio is unacceptable.

"Hotel Garni" means "a hotel that provides the bare necessities." However, cobwebs in the breakfast room (see photos), no light in the restroom off the breakfast room, and a dirty toilet in the room are unacceptable!

Negative aspects:

- The elevator's safety inspection expired four years ago.

- The carpet is stained.

- The mattresses are worn out and soft.

- The reception is unmanned and can only be reached by phone.

- The building smells musty and of food.

- Students are currently staying overnight and using the kitchen, turning the entire hotel into a noisy student dorm with food smells.

- Even in the mornings, the students are omnipresent in the breakfast room, talking loudly, playing loud music, and going in and out of the kitchen.

- There are no blackout curtains or blinds in the rooms.

- The breakfast buffet is limited, and the eggs are cold. The sausage was warm.

- The service is inadequate. During breakfast, no one asked if we wanted anything to drink. Sometimes, there was no one there at all.

- There's a clothes drying rack in the kitchen.

- The rooms are poorly soundproofed. You can hear your neighbors talking.

- The internet is extremely slow and overloaded.

- As a replacement/alternative, our double room only had a thin summer duvet and a different large pillow.

Positive:

- Our room was large with a bay window.

- Large, free parking lot.

- Chapel Square is a one-minute walk away.
