We spent a week at the Birnbacher Hof. The rooms are a good size and well laid out. The bathroom is spacious and practically furnished. The furniture is in good condition, and everything is clean and tidy. There would be plenty of storage space, even for a longer stay. The kitchen is well-equipped, with no shortage of cooking utensils or dishes. Breakfast is excellent and offers a wide variety every morning. The staff, from reception to the housekeeping, are attentive, helpful, and very friendly and welcoming. The on-site physiotherapy practice offers a wide range of services, and scheduling appointments was very well organized. The staff there were also very friendly. We felt completely comfortable and welcome.

Our third stay at the Birnbacherhof, our third welcome as if we'd always been there... we're so glad we chose this hotel as our base... since our holiday apartment was no longer available due to Corona... and we often strolled past the Hotel Birnbacherhof... as this is our 13th visit to the Rottal Terme spa.
We discovered the spa in 2007...
The Birnbacherhof is an oasis of well-being with a wonderful garden... the very, very nice and friendly staff prepare a superb breakfast... prepared by Evi and Barbara
And the housekeeping staff always ensure everything is spotless and clean
We received a very friendly welcome from Mrs. Jakobsen, who handled our telephone booking

This was our first time here, and we'll definitely be back. The exceptionally friendly and always helpful staff deserve special mention. The apartments are very well-equipped, quiet, and very comfortable. The well-maintained garden is perfect for relaxing, as is the sauna in the building.
The daily cleaning of the apartments is outstanding. Every request is promptly fulfilled.

Bad Birnbach is a beautiful, quiet resort town with its own thermal baths. Every restaurant, café, and pizzeria we visited was very good and reasonably priced!

Beautiful holiday region. The Rottaltherme thermal baths in town are nice. Entry wristbands are available at reception. The view from the balcony is of an apartment building. Truly dull in bad weather. The local activities are geared toward the elderly. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is friendly. The massages are poor. You can request a spa treatment here. Passau is worth a visit, as are the Bad Füssingen thermal baths.

Booked by phone... Confirmation by email. Upon arrival, we were greeted as if we were regulars... everyone was very friendly and helpful. Great apartment... comfortable beds... a fantastic breakfast, lovingly prepared by Barbara... as was the entire staff... friendly and helpful. We still have a few days ahead of us... we'll definitely be back in 2026.

We were once again extremely satisfied with our week at the Birnbacher Hof: absolutely friendly (!!) and competent staff, a quiet, clean apartment with great heating (in December!) and comfortable mattresses, and a cozy breakfast room with regional products. The thermal baths, shops, and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. Completely satisfied, we would love to come back.

Excellent care, apartment may look a bit dated, but is typical of the region. Plenty of space. Bed a little less.

The Birnenbacherhof is recommended, only the maisonnette is a bit impractical. You only have one bathtub and it is right on the slope, so only for bathing, not for showering. In addition, as a married couple, you should pay attention to whether the beds are together or separately. Breakfast was really great, only due to Corona you sit a bit modest, but the breakfast staff takes care of that, they are really nice 😊 I would also like to mention the ladies at the reception, they are also very friendly and helpful. The half board is not necessarily recommendable too one-sided and far too inflexible outside.
