Really cosy place to stay, excellent food, friendly service, they also gave us a hand with finding tickets to visit the castle. We'll definitely be back.

This hotel was excellent except for the sound proofing, we had a room next to the stairs and we could hear the constant footsteps of people going up and down the stairs

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Helmer Hotel. The location, in the quiet pastoral Bavarian village of Schwangua, is a 5 minute drive to the castles. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. and the food at breakfast and dinner was delicious. We highly recommend staying at the Helmer Hotel.

Our 2nd stay in this very nice hotel in beautiful surroundings. A good place for hiking in the mountains and use og free bikes (very good idea) to bike around Schwangau and Füssen. An El-kettel in the room would be a nice to have for a couple of tea after a long hike in the mountains.

The Hotal has the family owned and operated charm and attention to detail that make is absolutely wonderful and unique. The view from our balcony of the mountains as village area is spectacular. The area has many great paved walking paths through the beautiful rural area to the cable car and castle area.

We love this hotel and have stayed at it two year in a row. It is located in a quiet village and has plenty of bikes to use to ride through the beautiful surroundings. We love it here.

This lovely hotel is centrally located near Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles. Convenient to a grocery store and Fussen. The service here is amazing and the breakfast buffet offers many options. Be sure to checkout the restaurant!

Very nice hotel in the small town of Schwangau. Very friendly staff. If you arrive by bus, there is a bus stop just across the street. My only complaint is, since there is no air conditioning (normal for Europe) I slept with the windows open and I could here patrons at the small Italian restaurant across the street on their patio as late as 02:00 (2:00am)

The hotel is located is very convenient region. The room is spacious with great view. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. They guided us patiently how to take the public transport to the Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwan Castle.

It's a nice place to stay, and very close to the Neuschawanstein castle. You may even walk to the Horggen Lake side to see the beautiful sunset in the evening.

This was one of our favorite hotels on our European trip. Just what we wanted for German style and ambience. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, well located near Neuschwanstein and the Tegelberg bahn. The breakfast was phenomenal! Great location, nice room with a comfortable bed and bathroom. We also had a nice balcony with a small view of the castle. Breakfast was nice with hot eggs and cold cereal, yogurt, buns, meats and cheeses. There was free parking, but no elevator, so the trek up to the fourth floor with luggage was not fun.

Landhotel Guglhupf felt like home. I loved how they paid attention to detail not only in the varied choices of delicious food they serve for breakfast but also in how lovingly they set the tables. I will never forget the breathtaking view of the majestic mountains that greeted us every morning.

The room was immaculate. The man behind the desk was less than personable. I read this in quite a few other reviews, so I know I am not alone in thinking this. This a hospitality business and a smile or ‘How are you today?” Goes a long way.

This hotel is nice and quiet, but in the perfect location! Not only did we get a room with a view of Neuschwanstein, but the beds were immensely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Plus, there's a couple restaurants, a grocery store, and a bakery all within walking distance. There was ample parking as well. A perfect stay for families.

When I go here it was quiet and calm.price are good. If you are here to see the castle, there is a bus stop next street (+-1.50€). Check with google for hour.

Location is great if you want a hike/ cycle/ drive to the 2x castles or even if you want to go to the cable car. There is a service station not far that is ideal for Sunday morning pastries/ coffee/ food and fuel. We did not eat at the hotel as we had so many options pizza, Asian local The staff were friendly and helpful, explaining our free bus pass.

Conveniently located to Fussen, the castles, spa and paraglide. The staff was very helpful. Extra room amenities weren't provided (water, tissues...). Breakfast was not included but could purchase separately. Bottles of water could be purchased during restaurant operating hours. There was also a vending machine for beverages and water as well. Parking would be an issue for late arrivals.

We arrived late after getting lost hiking in the dark, then being unable to get the car out of the parking lot. Dinner was over, sidewalks were rolled up, and we were starving. Had we asked for leftovers (dinner smelled heavenly) am certain they would have helped us out. That is how lovely these people, and their lodging, are. I was able to stay there without any inconveniences. They were flexible with check-in times and even accommodated me late. The location is also great, it's only a 10-minute walk so there's no need to worry about getting lost. However, there doesn't seem to be an elevator, so it might be difficult if you have a lot of luggage.

Everything is perfect, breakfast and dinner are exceptionally good. Best value for money. My son said we will definitely back for the next winter experience again.

The place is hard to find. There is a restaurant downstairs. The food is delicious. The room is a bit old, but very clean. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs by yourself. Check-in is very convenient and the service attitude is OK.

Spent two nights recently. Had a wonderful time. Rooms were exactly like pictures. Big bathroom! Bed was firm but comfortable best sleep of our vacation. Breakfast was great decent selection of fresh items. Front desk staff was able to accommodate our request for an extra nights stay. No restaurant when we were there but staff provided a good suggestion for dinner.

The hotel facilities are good, the surrounding environment is good and quiet. But the location is relatively remote, the breakfast is monotonous, there are no vegetables, the fruits are very few and the quality is very poor, and the restaurant waiters have no sense of service at all.

We got a room in the ground floor. The room is very nice and clean. Ground floor has no Lake view. They have a sauna in the basement that guest operate themselves. Small but totally does the job. The concept is self check in which works well. There is parking and also a charging station.

The location of the hotel is very nice. All of the staff were very friendly. The food is excellent. The panorama terrace offers a very nice view and delicious cocktails. Even better than I expected! The ambiance at Neuschwanstein was incredible. Looking out the window after it snowed was absolutely beautiful. The cleanliness and service were also excellent.
