We have visited this hotel a couple of times and find it to be a great option if you’re planning to explore the Neuschwanstein Castle area or simply want to unwind somewhere close to Munich. The service is good from the moment you arrive, with staff who are attentive and welcoming. The rooms are very well maintained and clean, making for a comfortable stay. The spa service is also excellent, featuring products from the Pharmos Natur line, which adds a nice touch to the overall experience. The food is good, and the breakfast is well prepared with attention to detail. Without a doubt, it’s a place we would return to—just keep in mind that it is an adults-only hotel.

I spent 2 relaxing nights at this immaculate spa-resort in August with my boyfriend. It was my first time to Germany, and my first stay at a spa of this all encompassing class. Everything about the property (interior décor, customer service, rooms & food) was exceptional and geared towards total satisfaction & rejuvenation. The various pool areas give way to the backdrop of the Bavarian mountains...during the day the sunbeds were the perfect place to read a book between dips in the pool(s). The indoor spa facilities were beautiful, state of the art...and exceptionally clean. The restaurant provided a wonderful breakfast buffet and our dinner experience each night was very impressive. I must give the staff extra acknowledgement. I reached out to them to ask if they would send me a couple of keepsakes with the hotel logo after I departed...which they promptly did.

The hotel is located in a beautiful and tranquil setting. It's stylishly designed, exceptionally clean, and exudes a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were always kind and helpful, greeting us with a smile. The spa area is top-notch, and the treatments were truly some of the best we've ever experienced.
Breakfast was generous and delicious, and dinner was both special and full of flavor—a real treat each evening.

In March/April 2025, I myself spent three weeks post-surgery at the König-Ludwig-Klinik (Klinic) for rehabilitation. Now, in September, I accompanied my wife, who also had orthopedic needs, during the final week. I should never have recommended that she also be treated here:
The quality, procedures, and situation on site are unfortunately even more modest than in March. Examples: Medical care with very little contact, except in emergencies and problems. No examinations whatsoever. Classes are usually distributed completely arbitrarily, failing to take the situation and development of the rehabilitation into account; for example, patients who have just undergone surgery always practice together with recovered patients. Activities that would have been necessary and helpful at the beginning are only offered shortly before discharge. Unfortunately, I could see in my wife's "planning" for September that nothing positive has happened—quite the opposite.
The cleaning staff still want tips for their useless daily towel changes. Every guesthouse in the area is more environmentally conscious.
Apart from (sleeping) pills, tea, an ancient TV in the room, and ancient puzzles in the basement, the evening "offer" for the three weeks is: the café is open from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the kiosk is open for one hour in the morning. If you can't get out, you're just out of luck. And that includes almost all of the guests who aren't yet fully able to walk. The piano hasn't been tuned in years, and there's no music. So it's best to go straight to bed at 8:00 p.m.!

But then, from the morning onward, there are two large cranes in front of the balconies, with the corresponding construction noise and loud workmen. The parking lot is closed. A wonderful rest! The often elderly guests are very patient and put up with (too) much.

In conclusion: Apart from the magnificent mountain scenery in one of the most beautiful regions of Bavaria, it's just a lot of facade, almost like King Ludwig's fairytale castle. And you'll surely hear the same empty phrases from the "quality management" people below, as with all the critical comments: "We take your suggestions very seriously, of course, and will consider them." Don't believe a word of it. For example, covering everything with photovoltaics without any consideration, while massively cutting costs elsewhere at the expense of guests is irresponsible. But there's also the luxury hotel next door, owned by the same company, with exorbitantly high room rates. Apparently, it's all about the money of the (mostly) insured patients.

The room was okay, but the bathroom wasn't very big. We booked a panoramic room, but the hotel gave us a garden view room at ground level, not on a high floor, and didn't charge us extra!

Thank you for a wonderful experience at your spa hotel! We got very friendly service, the facilities were beautiful, aesthetic, new and clean. The spa was big and had many relaxing and beautiful options. I felt like a special guest and the whole experience felt luxurious. I am very happy!
