The Sonnenhöfle in Sommerhausen consistently delivers an exceptional culinary experience. At its heart is the always superb five-course menu, which can be expanded upon request and delights with its refinement, clarity, and seasonality. The wine pairings are equally outstanding: Ms. Pähler presents two or three wines with each course, knowledgeably explaining their origin, style, and character, providing precisely the information needed to make an informed choice.

The ambiance is very stylish and a particular delight in summer – also in the "Sonnenhöfle," which gives the restaurant its name. Mr. Mainardy and Ms. Pähler make a perfect team: he brings great precision and creativity to the kitchen, while she is poised, exceptionally pleasant, and highly competent in both service and the cellar. It's a place where culinary excellence, wine, and atmosphere converge at the highest level. They've recently added a three-course Sunday menu, just like Mom used to make, featuring festive soup, Sunday roast, and dessert. We'll have to try it soon. The Sonnenhöfle comes highly recommended.

Fantastic! A small, charming, privately run hotel with excellent cuisine and the best service imaginable. We've stayed here twice now and would book again in a heartbeat!

The two of us enjoyed a short, two-day break at Hotel Sonnenhöfle, which felt like a two-week vacation. We felt very comfortable in the cozy and creatively decorated "Theaterstube" themed room. The five-course menu with its personalized and expert wine pairings was sensational; the breakfast was lovingly and generously presented. We also received excellent tips for excursions in the surrounding area. A heartfelt thank you for this wonderful short break – we would love to come back again!

Super nice and cosy village. A place worth seeing ❤️ very nice little hotel, nice and clean rooms, nice beds, friendly host and delicious breakfast. We loved staying here. We think the town was a little juvel on our journey.

In August we vacationed in the apartment. Very neat and fully equipped. Very friendly host and hostess where we had an excellent wine and food experience in the hotel in the attractive courtyard. We will definitely come back to Sommerhausen

Very nice and helpful hosts, including beautiful themed rooms, very clean and a nice shop with regional delicacies in a historic vaulted cellar.
And there is homemade, lovingly prepared and very tasty food. The offer changes regularly.
In summer, seating in front of the hotel with a view of the historic center of Sommerhausen invites you to linger.
