Mondrian Suites Berlin Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin

We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment. The space is impressively large, impeccably clean, and comes fully equipped with everything you could possibly need — from a well-stocked kitchen to comfortable, thoughtfully arranged living areas. Nothing felt missing or improvised; you could tell great care went into making it a complete and functional home.
The location is simply unbeatable. Centrally situated yet tucked away in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood, you get the best of both worlds: easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport, without any of the noise or chaos you’d expect from a central address.
We traveled with our young children and it was an ideal setup for a family. The apartment offers plenty of room for kids to move around safely, and the calm surroundings meant peaceful evenings and restful nights — something every parent traveling with little ones will truly appreciate.
Whether you’re visiting as a couple, a group of friends, or a family with small children, this apartment ticks every single box. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious, well-located, and comfortable stay. A true 5-star experience from start to finish.

The kitchen is equipped with a kitchenette and spacious rooms, perfect for long-term stays. The subway station and supermarket are within a five-minute walk, and all train stations, including Dong Station and Jungang Station, are within a 15-minute drive.

Very courteous and helpful staff. The room was large and kitchenette was well stocked. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, but no coffee, sugar or creamer. I was able to get some at the front desk. The parking situation at the hotel (and Berlin overall) was frustrating. The hotel has a handful of parking spot in a parking garage. There are no other parking garages in the area. The first night all of their spots in the garage were full so we had to hunt for a parking spot in the surrounding area. The second night one opened up in their garage that we were able to take.

Overall the hotel was nice, clean and had a friendly staff. The only complaint is the parking situation.

We had the most memorable experience of Berlin thanks to our ideal location and the exceptional accommodation at the Mondrian Suites. Close to Checkpoint Charlie, the S-Bahn and U-Bahn as well as local restaurants, supermarkets (Lidl is a 3 min walk) it was the perfect central location for a week in Berlin.

The best part is the accommodation itself though. Our 'Comfort Apartment' featured a separate kitchen/dining/living room area with a well-stocked kitchen with cooker, fridge and sink and all the utensils needed for our stay. The wardrobe was huge, and the sofa very comfortable for watching TV.

The bedroom had a large 6ft bed, balcony and ensuite shower room with WC, sink and a very large glass-panelled walk in shower. Pure luxury!

The staff were kind and helpful (which wasn't my experience of everywhere in Berlin). We didn't spend much time in the reception area or experience any of the other in-house facilities, but from what we could see they were very clean and comfortable looking. We made use of the laundry room in the basement which was perfect for our week long stay.

Berlin is an amazing city, and this is a great place to stay. My wife's mother was in Berlin at the same time, and she loved our place too. She advised that our location was much better for sightseeing and access to public transport than her 4/5 star hotel in Mitte.

Great place to stay! The staff was courteous and kind. The room was spacious and there was even a fan in the closet! This was a nice change from our hotel in Hamburg. The street was mostly quiet and very close to different modes of transport. The buffet style breakfast was great!

Facilities: It is in an apartment building. The entrance is relatively hidden. It is a bit far away from the main attractions. It is a remote place in the city center. The room is large and there is a kitchen.
Hygiene: OK, but the trash can is relatively hidden
Environment: Not facing the street, very quiet
Service: Not very good. Even if there is paper on the floor, they don’t clean it. They just make a bed and change bath towels every day.
