I left after 4 days, even though my trip to Berlin continued. Maybe I booked when the rates were high but I felt as if I didn’t get enough for my money.
The hotel is part of a typical old Berlin apartment building, renovated cheaply to become a no-frills hotel. The funky courtyard is indeed quiet but internal sounds are amplified due to a lack of carpeting and cheap doors.
I had a very small, very clean, room with a comfortable bed and a decent shower. No refrigerator, no safe, and NO BLACKOUT CURTAINS. Bring an eye pillow.
I didn’t do breakfast but if the undrinkable courtesy coffee is any indication, I chose well.
High point is its proximity to the superb late-night Super Shawarma spot across the street.
