I originally booked a room for two nights and then reduced my booking by one night. The hotel confirmed that this was ok via email. When I arrived they told me I had arrived a day early and therefore I had to pay for a more expensive €80 room because the €62 I had booked was not available. This was despite me strongly disagreeing that I had arrived on the wrong date. I have the emails showing that I booked and arrived on the correct date. At best they made a mistake and I had to pay for it. At the worst they deliberately lied to me to have me pay for a more expensive room.

It’s okay to stop for 1 night when travelling to the border. No ac, no lift, no tea/coffee facilities in room. Clean room, comfortable bed

Works fine for a few nights
Hotel Palonia is a good hotel for one or a few nights.

Situated quite close to both city centre and public transportation, it’s great for exploring the city.

For what it was, I still found it to be a little on the expensive side: 65-70€ per night and not even a bottle of water in the hotel room. Also a bit noisy due to a road outside.

Would still recommend for a shorter stay. Personell were polite as well.

Close to train station for a walkable 2 days in this city. Found the best beer on our trip . Krombacher . Neighborhood pub. We visited the hauffriedhof to see my opa's burial place. A bucket list event

My wife Viktoryia was staying there and she was very happy with the cleanliness and the overall quality of the hotel. She speaks neither English nor German, so she had some issues with day-to-day tourist life outside of the hotel. Luckily the hotel staff, namely Vladimir, was exceptionally helpful, and provided his help on a number of occasions. He also demonstrated a high standard of taking care of the clients by providing help with purchasing a railroad ticket, going beyond his direct responsibilities to prioritize clients wellness. I would like to thank him, and would like to recommend the hotel for its focus on clients need.

It's just a short walk from the train station, so is quite easy to find.
The room was very clean and spacious with good sound insulation from the traffic below.
The breakfast was excellent at a reasonable price.

Really great place, rooms very clean and well-equipped, spacious. There was no problem with checking-in at night when you let them know - you receive the code for the keybox (also, if you leave early in the morning, just put the key back in the box)
