Hotel Mit-Mensch in Berlin

My stay at Hotel Mit-Mensch was a highlight of the trip. The staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere felt much more personal and welcoming than a standard chain hotel. While the rooms are simple, they are very comfortable and well-maintained.

A major plus for travelers seeking personal space: our room actually featured two twin beds that were placed apart from each other, rather than the joined setup common in many European hotels. It resulted in one of the best nights of sleep on our journey.

Regarding the logistics, the parking was comfortable for us, though it is worth noting that the lot might be a tight fit if the hotel were at full capacity. I also want to give a shout-out to the breakfast. While I initially thought it was a bit basic, after staying at several other locations, I realized it was actually one of the better breakfast offerings we encountered. Overall, it was a perfect experience and I highly recommend it for a comfortable, friendly stay.

Really nice hotel - easy to find, in a quiet residential area, with plenty of options of public transport around.
Room was ideal for a single traveler, spacious yet compact and with all necessities.
Very competent and helpful staff, they were all very accomodating and kind to me during my stay there.

Affordable hotel away from the center (but easily reachable with the public transport)

Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Nice houses and lots of trees. Tram stop right next door. Train station nearby.

If you're looking for things to criticize, you'll certainly find something. The hotel perfectly fulfills its purpose. It's wheelchair accessible, and there's absolutely nothing to complain about since there's also an elevator in the main building. It's clean. Of course, the rooms aren't luxury suites, but if you want those, you have to be prepared to pay significantly more, which we didn't have to do here. And it was a good base for visiting Berlin, with easy access to local and long-distance trains, including the S21 and S3 lines at Karlshorst station. If you don't like the ambiance and the hotel's decor, you should consider the Athlon, Ritz, Charlton, or Waldorf Astoria, and be prepared to pay the same price. I personally have only positive memories of my stay! 👍 THANK YOU!

Located in a charming neighborhood with public transport options close by (a short walk from the train station or a tram stop right across the street). Checking in after office hours was very easy.

Minus points from thin walls. I could hear someone snoring in the next room :D Take earplugs with you.
