Very good stay can reccomend
I had a very enjoyable stay at AHORN Harz Hotel Braunlage. The location is ideal for exploring the Harz mountains, and the views from the room were lovely. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though a bit dated in style.

Breakfast was varied and tasty, with something for everyone. Staff were helpful and friendly, and there were plenty of amenities like the pool and sauna to enjoy after a day of hiking.

Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxing getaway — not luxurious, but well worth the stay.

In a pinch for a night or two
The view of the Wurmberg from the 9th floor was fantastic. With cushions on the chairs, the evenings would have been even more enjoyable. With better ventilation in the bathroom, it might not have smelled so musty. The breakfast service could be improved. The buffet offered no healthy options, only the bread was tasty; it took forever to reset the tables, and wiping meant sweeping crumbs onto the floor, one rag for several tables, and no disinfection at all. The staff was unhelpful when we asked. We asked for a table on the terrace to be wiped dry and received the answer: "I'll be right away." We're still waiting for that today. In our room, we were informed about the dress code, but no one cared to enforce it.

Large hotel in a beautiful setting! Surrounded by forests and mountains! A ski resort in winter. The rooms are spacious and clean! The staff is friendly and helpful! The breakfast is extensive and well-prepared! There's plenty to do in and around the hotel! There's a sauna, swimming pool, and fitness room! There are plenty of activities for children! A perfect hotel for couples, older couples, and families with children! Parking is available, but it's paid! We had a good and pleasant stay.

Hotel is very old No one can speak English It says that it has an fridge or a minibar but in the room there is none. Many many children (no respect) Bed sheets and pillows are thin as paper You have to pay for parking in the hotel area (20 euro) a night. No free parking anywhere near the hotel. Never coming back

The breakfast and evening buffet didn't quite live up to expectations for a 4-star hotel. The evening meal, in particular, was rather disappointing in terms of taste, so booking the evening buffet isn't necessarily recommended.

This place is absolutely not a ski-in or ski-out hotel. It is advertised falsely as such. The food is also not good at all - expensive, crummy buffet with nothing interesting to eat. Cleaning service also didn't happen on schedule and the pillows and bedding were awful. Bad value for money.
