I wanted to leave this review to correct some inaccuracies in earlier reviews. This is an enormous, old, '80s style hotel but kept scrupulously clean. A room with a terrace only makes sense if you plan to sunbathe — there’s just one lounge chair. Smoking is not allowed, and to enjoy the view, you have to stand at the edge — once you sit, the view disappears. If the view is important to you, it’s better to choose a river-facing room. We were in a group tour so it was not our choice. We were supposed to get a queen bed. We were provided with 2 separate single beds, very firm and uncomfortable. No use complaining, it was booked days before so no excuse. At least the room was clean. The TV had no Netflix and no way to change the language nor cast my phone to it.

The hotel was originally a small palace, or perhaps an annex to the Bonn Palace, now the main building of the University of Bonn. Therefore, its interior is quite luxurious, and its location on the Rhine River, near an old fort, offers beautiful scenery. A minor drawback is that there are steps leading from the garage to the reception desk; the elevator doesn't go directly there.

Four pleasant nights. While the room didn't have a river view, it faced the sun, and the aroma of fruit trees wafted through the window. The breakfast napkins were starched, and the guests, seemingly mid-level or above from businesses, had excellent dining manners. The cleaning staff was very friendly and excellent! The elevator had a vintage feel, making the ride unique and enjoyable.

Great location but the hotel feels a bit old. I had booked a two persons room for myself and only had one pillow. Breakfast was great too.

Clean and quick check in. Reception staff very kind and offer additional bed for my 12 year old kid at no extra cost. Staff came to room and get sofa bed set up . I had a lovely stay at this hotel! The room may be on the smaller, cozy side, but it’s spotlessly clean and the bed is wonderfully comfy. The reception team is fantastic—really warm and welcoming—and the whole experience is great value for money. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visits!
