Stayed here 3 nights with a school group. Close to public transit with frequent rides to the city centre, and very near the zoo. Breakfast was adequate with small selection of cereals bread jam hams and cheeses, evening meals were quite good with only 1 option but a very well stocked self serve salad bar. Room for 5 was quite large and all the beds were plenty big enough for a grown man. Room itself...

Beds are comfortable and clean (but you have to make them yourself), breakfast is ok, good vending machines and chargers next to every bed! Overall a very nice stay.

We used the hostel as part of a school trip, for breakfast. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.

The food was great, the beds were kind of thin but not so that they prevented sleep from occurring naturally. Overall great experience.

Came with a school group. Rooms are fine, bunk beds for students, small toilet and shower room in bedroom. Clean and close enough to the centre of Cologne. The place is clean and organized. There's only WiFi on the ground floor which was a little inconvenient. It is a 45 minutes walk from the train station and a 10 minute cat ride. There is a train stop near by that is very convenient. I am enjoying my stay here.

Our 9th grade class had a wonderful stay at the Cologne Hostel. We lacked nothing. Thank you so much! The staff were all exceptionally friendly. Arrival and departure went smoothly. Our students especially enjoyed the common room in the basement, where they could relax and hang out until late in the evening. Highly recommended!

Very central location - comfy beds - good breakfast! Ideal if you want to rest or party! Everything is close by - highly recommended

I only have good things to say about this hostel. Very warm reception and basically in the city center.

Clean. Modern room. Bright. A lot of windows. It's in the city center (pro and con) so if you open the window it can be noisy (restaurant, motorcycle, police - windows have a good noise cancelling. Friendly. Breakfast is sufficient. Kids friendly. No air-condition. Nice terrace. Visited in spring. Nothing to complain about.

We only stayed for one night and had a great experience overall. The hostel is well connected to the city centre via the underground. Our checking was quick and the staff was really friendly. We even got a little map of Cologne centre and towels for free! We sadly didn’t get to try the hostel’s café/bar as we only stayed for one night, but the atmosphere seemed great and there was even live music!...

The food and drinks are good, the majority of the staff is very warm and welcoming too, but they are not really good at what they do: being waiters. Some of the waiters though are not only bad at their job, but also unfriendly and mean.

Very unusual hostel, where you have to enter through gift shop the bar. Really good staff, cool bar with nice music and environment. Rooms are clean. It was very nice to see bad sheets to put on place and I don't have to arrange them (hate it sometimes). Area is quite calm and nice.

If you're passing through Colonia, this is a good accommodation option. About 20 minutes from the central station, this hostel has all the necessary amenities. Such a great spot would heavily recommend. The rooms were so comfortable and the beds where way bigger than any other hostel Ive stayed in. The bar downstairs is lovely and the whole area around it was great. Staff was super friendly and the whole vibe of the place was great.

Really comfortable, clean and secure. My first solo travel experience and I was anxious about how secure my belongings would be. I couldn't have been happier with the accommodation. For such a popular and busy bar, noise was relatively nonexistent.

I only stayed one short night in that hostel but I wish I could have stayed a bit longer. I booked a dorm in the ballroom one, women only, the booth was great. All the staff are helpful and super friendly. All the rooms were very clean. We'll definitely be back. The common room is great too, and the location is perfect! Everything is within easy reach. It's a bit noisy on weekends, but bearable. Seriously, great job! Best hostel so far.

Well-maintained hotel that is well placed for anything you want to do in Kõln. I have stayed here a couple of times and it will the first place I try to book into on the next visit

Perfect for a few nights stay. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. More like an Airbnb as you check yourself in but this suited me fine. We didn’t receive the code to check in until 1 hour before check in time, which was completely fine, but think the listing should be updated to explain this so there is no confusion.

Self-service entry, excellent central location, neat simple room and bathroom. Beware: no lift, narrow stairs to the rooms, in my case 60 steps up.

Clean, a little dated. Very friendly and helpful staff. Biggest issue was a delay in receiving our check-in code.

Friendly staff and daily cleaning. Hot water and heating is good. Location is pretty good close to the center. However the pillows are very old and not so comfortable. Wifi is pretty bad with interruptions

Stood for 2 nights on a room with 4 beds and was really good. The room and toilet is very clean, comfortable beds and well organized. There is also a nice and relatively large space y the reception for socializing, playing some games and cook something. definitely recommend this hostel

A lovely and friendly hostel. So cool there are an arcade and Nintendo games in the common space. You can have free tea and coffee in the kitchen, though some kinds of coffee charge €0,50. The only problem I met was that there was no hot water around 00:00 so I could only took a cool bath.

Very nice place to stay! An Owner is really kind, there were no problems with storing our suitcases before checkin time, rooms are clean, the location is really good and price is really fine! Honestly, one of the best hostel in Köln. Thank you!

Very recommended. I booked here for the gamescom days. It was the cheapest and it is only five to ten minutes walking distance to the event. It is managed by a single person only and it shows everywhere the love he has put to his hostel. Everything is clean, the carpets are new and not millions of years old. There's a small kitchen where you can have free coffee and then you have to clean your glass...

The hostel was a very good one, it has a good atmosphere, the staff was friendly, it had a kitchen so it was easy to cook your food and some money. The location was very good being 20 minutes to the cathedral. All in all a very pleasant experience. Would come back again!

Location is very close to U-Bahn. Bathroom is very clean. The locker box is huge and comes with a key (for €10 deposit). Staff very kind and helpful. Comes with nice kitchen, free coffee & tea, free washing machine for usage.

Quaint hostel located near a good public transport line. Beds were clean and already made, room didn't have bunk beds. Plenty of sockets, chest with lock was included with the price. Free breakfast was simple but sufficed. Calm, easy going place that is perfect for small groups looking for a clean and friendly place to stay. Bathrooms were spotless.

Quiet hostel with low prices. You can buy your own food to cook with in the kitchen. Definitely not a party hostel, it's good to follow the rules here and not make too much noise after 10:00pm (22h). Owner has a very extensive record collection and he will let you play some records in the cozy living room. He has traveled a lot and you can see his destinations from the map on the wall.

Under one is what nasty things you did not know, but precise information is not seemed like. How old of feel bad for him that I wondered. Nice and clean Hostel with a kitchen ( so you can use the fridge and/or cook yourself if you like). Simple ( continental) breakfast and unlimited coffee and tea all day. By underground/metro only 15 minutes to te city centre.
