the location of the hotel was great as it was so close to the christmas markets and city centre and train statio. the staff were very friendly and helpful and tried to provide us with whatever we needed

however, sometimes the cleanliness of the rooms were not as consistent, but this is not a big issue since we could call them up to rectify and they were willing to do so

Amazing location and lovely staff! Rooms are a little dated but that’s not a problem for a short stay, everything was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms had been renovated.

Staff were very helpful and professional. The rooms are alright but could use more electrical outlets, there were only two. Also, the push button shower takes a good 5 minutes to warm the water

My spouse utilized the sauna and enjoyed it. The gym was well equipped and plenty of space, unlike many hotel gyms. The staff in the Regency club was very kind and helpful

We were truly touched when the staff at the Club Lounge on the 6th floor prepared a Cologne Cathedral-shaped cookie to celebrate my wife’s birthday

The complimentary minibar in the suite was a thoughtful touch. The pool may be small, but taking a swim while the city slowly woke up felt refreshing and serene

As a Globalist, I was upgraded to a suite overlooking the Rhine — every evening I would sit by the window and watch the bridge glowing under the sunset. Those moments alone were worth the stay

Breakfast was exceptional, both in quality and variety, easily among the best I’ve had in Europe. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, creating a sense of welcome that felt effortless

In addition, Kira kindly wished her a happy birthday in Korean and took such thoughtful care of us, which made our experience even more special

A perfect location just opposite the Cologne Messe and a few minutes from Train station Koeln Messe plus only 5mins from Lanxness Arena quite convenient as we had an event there. Very friendly and helpful staff

To arena, perfect to stay! Also to the city center, easily to get there by tram. Staffs are all nice and helpful.

Unfortunately you need to pay 6€ additional to use small swimming pool. Breakfast has a bit of everything, only smoked salmon was missing ( so if you do not eat meat and dairy product), mhmm

The breakfast is €30 extra, to use the pool is €6 extra, a bathrobe is €3,5. Other than that, the hotel in itself is pretty good

Perfectly placed hotel if you are attending the Koln Messe. Literally across the road from the East entrance. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The bar is good. About 20 minutes walk from the Cathedral.

The hotel is very close to the Cologne Exhibition Hall, and it only takes a few minutes to walk there. The receptionist is very friendly. The room is clean and sanitary, and there is plenty of hot water

The room was large with ample furniture (larger bed than usual, built-in suitcase stand, full desk, armchair) and the decor a palimpsest of older furniture zhuzhed up with wall coverings, a decorative vase, floor lights in addition to bedside table lamps and desk light, etc

However, the blackout curtains and well-insulated windows made for a quiet night's sleep, despite the roads and building sites outside. It was still possible to open one window to let fresh air in

There was even a kettle to make tea and coffee, and a fridge, which was much appreciated! The bed was on the soft side and the pillows rather thin and fluffy, which was not quite to my liking

Super quiet, room is pretty cozy, shower control is kinda hard to use, 15mins wall to the station.

Friendly staff, good location, clean and tidy. Probably will be there again.

Next time I’ll choose the room near by the lift:(

Stayed at this hotel many times and the team have been brilliant every time. Shahrzad was a faultless host providing great service and wonderful recommendations throughout the stay

Lift available at a different entrance as the main entrance has steps. The rooms were great, amenities were great and the view was awesome. Also loved the aesthetic of the hotel

With the chocolate museum next door and the old town a small walk away, this hotel is a brilliant location for those wanting to discover Cologne!

The rooms are well designed with beautiful artwork, the breakfast choice is ace, and the rooftop views are calming after sundown

A good location to stay at to be able to access most central destinations with public transport. Clean rooms and nice sound proofing. I have already stayed at this hotel twice and it is my go to when coming to Cologne

  I would have loved to stay here on future visits but it’s a NO!!  The breakfast was lovely, sauna and swimming pool facilities too. Otherwise it’s in a good safe location

I use this Mercure as a base when travelling to work in Germany and it's always been a welcoming, friendly and quiet place to unwind after travelling / working

However, dinner was a bit underwhelming as it seemed pre-prepared and heated up. The prices were reasonable, and the dining area had a nice, welcoming atmosphere. The pool was a great bonus, and we enjoyed it

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It offers excellent value for the price! The location is convenient, with easy access to the city centre via tram. The breakfast was amazing—plenty of options and very fresh

Rooms were very tidy, and the breakfast in the morning was incredibly tasteful and had lots of choices! The price is a bit higher perhaps than your usual hotel room in Cologne, but I believe it's worth it due to the high standards that they provide at this hotel

Great hotel and location. Ideal for visiting the markets in late November. It was a shame that the sauna was only operational at certain times mid-week. Meant that it was always crowded early evening.

The staff was kind and helpful. They also served a fabulous breakfast buffet, which was included in our rate. Also, at weekends, breakfast time was extended until 12:00 pm, which gave us some extra time to sleep

Unfortunately we got a somewhat old and worn out room. The shower had only cold water that day and the sink was clogged. The breakfast is okay but lacks any vegetables and salads, which is strange

Very huge hotel, loved the location and amenities. Perfect place to stay last minute in cologne

There is a small carpark below the hotel, which was always full during our stay, but thanks to that we found out that there is a much bigger and cheaper carpark (Parkhaus Am Friesenplatz) right across the road from the hotel

Price/quality wise its really a good hotel. Love the swimming pool and the room was what you would expect for the price. Lovely service made it a great example of a succeeded trip!

My favorite part is the pool which was empty every time I went! There’s a sauna too but you have to ask them to turn it on. Of note, the mini gym leaves much to be desired with its six pieces of equipment

I would highly recommend the place for a business travel perhaps even for a family to stay. I cannot offer much insight into the breakfast offering because I chose it on breakfast option

The nearest shopping mall is 1. 2 kilometers away, and you can walk there in 25 minutes. I strongly recommend Saman Restaurant (not the TO GO store), which is a 30-minute walk from the hotel, with a rating of 4

It is a must-stay every time I go on a business trip. The scenery outside the room is very beautiful. You can see the Cologne Cathedral. It is recommended to stay here. It is a little far from the city

Ten from York fire Christmas markets and pals birthday. Rooms were great excellent showers. Breakfast covered all the bases. Staff on reception very helpful. Sorted out Koln Cards for us and 2 taxis back to airport

I had a great stay at Hotel Flandrischer Hof! The location is excellent — right in the heart of Cologne and just a short walk from everything I needed

Stunning Rooftop Bar at Savoy Hotel Cologne – A Hidden Gem with Amazing Views We didn’t stay at the Savoy Hotel Cologne, but we visited their rooftop bar, and it was absolutely worth it! The bar is open to visitors, not just hotel guests, which makes it a perfect hidden gem in the city

The room looked like the pictures and was very large. I rented one of the apartments. Super convenient to the train and there's a grocery store one block behind the hotel

This is a lovely hotel, situated right by the main train station. The city center is easily accessible on foot. The valet parking service was reliable and extremely convenient. Plus, there's a fantastic rooftop bar.

If you’re looking for the best rooftop bar in Cologne, the Savoy Hotel is definitely worth a visit — even if you’re not staying there. Highly recommend stopping by for the views

The gin & tonic was perfectly mixed, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. We can only imagine how magical this place must be at sunset – we’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic Hotel,Service was excellent and rooms were very clean and beds comfortable

The only disadvantage was that it's located in a building across the street from the main building where the lobby, restaurant and pool are located

I stayed in the annex hotel not  main hotel booking and would have been a better experience as I had to cross the street  to go to the hotel restaurant for breakfast

The parking lot is at the mainbuilding and we stayed in the other building which is across the street and doesn't have the reception desk. It says there is parking provided but you still have to pay 23 euro for 24 hours

The aircon was not working, when we tried to call the reception multiple times to help us fix the issue but no one pick up even though we called multiple times

The hotel is quite in the night but during the day there was some construction noice since there are some renovations going on around in the area

Place is 2 mins walk from a station that takes you to the main landmarks, including Hauptbanhof. Squeaky clean, great staff and the buffet is really varied, tasty and with everything for anyone, absolutely recommended.

Everything here is great. The staff is very friendly. But the room was very cold. I really like the minimalism, but I would have liked a small closet for coats.

Small room but simple and great heating system! Toilet really clean and nice! Doors make some noise and you can hear people walking in the hallway

I was tired so I didn't mind, fell asleep quick and I didn't hear anything! I had plans on my way and from the hotel the next day so in my case I would have reached the hotel by foot and even if it was only for a night, it was well located

we need to be near the center of Koln.there were two kind of staffs in the hotel office.very nice men and girls working there.nice experience

Clean, good location and decent enough especially for the price. Easy check in and check out, and accessible to loads of areas.

It took me around 15 mins to walk from the station to the hotel which was all on the same level. Great location only 200yds from river and 5-10min walk to bars and restaurants

Everything is good! Place, breakfast and gym all service are enough to stay again.

Stayed here again a few years since our last visit. The hotel rooms have been refurbished and have a modern clean feel to them. The pool is a nice touch and a pleasant visit after a long day walking round the city.

The room was not tidied when i checked in. And waiting a very long time for the check in.

It is especially just a short walk away from the new market and all the neighbouring restaurants, bars, and it is connected to the famous Cologne Cathedral and train stations

My family stayed at the Wasserturm hotel for three weeks over the Christmas holidays and had a lovely time. This was our second time staying at the hotel in 2025 and everything was exceptional

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Most staff members spoke multiple languages which was very helpful with our international family members. The rooms were very spacious and luxurious

I highly recommend the two story suites with amazing views of the city. Cleaning staff were thorough and helpful as we were traveling with our small pets

Parking is a bit tight and there is a poorly marked sidewalk going down the parking structure that can and will eat your tires. The elevators are a weird complaint, one I don’t think I’ve had before

They provided us with small bowls for food and water for our furry companions. The food at both the top floor bar/restaurant and downstairs lounge was delicious and came with ample portions

Perfect location for a trip to Cologne. The hotel has everything you need, nice comfy rooms, a small fitness room if you want to use it. Breakfast is good and plenty of choice

Entrance to the hotel is straight line walking a cross the Brenzlauer Platz, about 100 m. Two small downsides: The mattress of the bed should be renewed and replaced with a harder one

And their was some disturbing noise (I am sensitive to noise, in particular at night) from either the compressor or larger blower of some air-conditioning (mine AC was switched off)

Enter the hotel, be greeted with a friendly smile and "just wait a moment" as they were serving another guess trying hard and quit successful to speak in his mother tongue (French)

Not to much to expect by the room offer but cleanliness and features in bathroom, as body lotion Handwaschbeckenand shower gel were recommendable and boutique retailer. Overall recommendable for a short stay

In the Center of cologne, Advertised spa is apparently a collaboration with an external spa and fitness club, which was not clear upon placing reservation

Good location and reasonable price. Very close to a bustling area. There are not many facilities in the room. It works for people staying for 1-2 nights.

The hotel reception staff are friendly, the rooms have air conditioning, and there is a large supermarket downstairs which is very convenient

The service was good but did not expect the wellness centrum to be alocated at a different building but still was nice to have use the faciliteiten

One of the cheapest options to rent a whole hotel room inside the city. The service is great, it's allowed to keep the luggage before check-in and after check-out. The staff is friendly and make their work properly

This was a last minute booking for a trip to the Christmas markets. We booked the deluxe and looking at the other reviews I would say that it's definitely worth paying a bit extra for the deluxe

Its in the middle of what seems to be the industrial area, we felt very unsafe walking back to the hotel at night! The hotel does look better on the inside, the outside definitely needs a lick of paint

Absolute massive room, modern bathroom, comfy bed and a very good heating system for December! It's the first time I have stayed in a hotel with no tea/coffee facilities in the room

The nearest bus station was quite a walk away and the walk to the centre was miles away with loads of homeless people along the way. The hotel staff was friendly though

Nice room, standard, and friendly staff. good breakfast and service. Ok walking distance from Neumarkt with subway, trams, and the starting point for a shopping street. A lot of options in the spa facilities.

Lovely central location, roof terrace ( fab in summer / awesome for NY ), Therme Spa totally clean and fabulous, rooms simple yet stylish with fridge, staff always ready to help - its family owned and therefore has a style and a vibe that makes it unique

On top of this the staff was very friendly. The room was perfectly clean and actually also rather comfortable and nice. The location could not haben been much more perfect for what I needed

Directly on the river, so you can go for long walks or beautiful run in the morning. There is even a playground close by. I will come back the next time

Beautiful, very individually decorated hotel overlooking the Rhein River. It was very clean with friendly staff. The beds are very comfortable. We had a room with a balcony with a view of the Rhein

Our room was very small, difficult to move around, however, with nice community areas to relax in, that was a surmountable issue. The breakfast offerings and dining area are very pleasurable.

Everyone was incredibly friendly. The breakfast buffet was huge with many different choices. The room was super cute and clean. The location was absolutely amazing

As we arrived after 8pm, we thought it was unavoidable that we wouldn't be able to receive cleaning service on the same day, so we moved to another room, but it was also not properly cleaned and was a size smaller, so we ended up staying in the original room we were shown and waiting for cleaning service the next morning

As we were planning to stay for two nights, we left the room to go sightseeing hoping that it would be cleaned the next day, but all that was replaced was the towels for the bath mat
