I stayed here for 1 night back in June, in a shared dorm. I stayed here because it was easy to get to/from town, and also because it suited my super low budget.
Pros: Very clean and cosy bedrooms, and very friendly staff. There's a train stop right outside the hostel that will bring you right to the center of town and back.
Cons: The hostel is quite small and compact, particularly in the shared kitchen areas. The toilet and shower rooms seemed very small also. There was quite a lot of noise on account of the bar/cafe right beside/beneath the hostel, so earplugs are a good idea for light sleepers. Also, the main entrance to the hostel didn't have much in the way of signage when I was there, so it took a while to actually find it!
Overall, a perfectly fine hostel for a 1 night stay on a budget. I would have absolutely no problem staying there again.

All around a wonderful experience. Clean private room, very warm and friendly staff, great location that feels local but is still close enough to the city centre. Walkable area with lots of restaurants and a giant park that’s worth walking through if you have time. Would recommend to all friends.

Nice hostel! The kitchen was big and the bread and cheese in the morning was very generous. The staff were friendly. The location is in a nice area with a park and nice coffee shops. A little far from the cathedral but I liked being in a more local area. The rooms were clean and I made a few friends by just hanging out in the kitchen. I would stay here again!

Very nice, the people at the reception were welcoming, the rooms were clean and the shared kitchen nice. There are fruits that you can take as well as shared milk and butter. The neighbourhood is safe

Warm, laid-back place that’s ideal for budget travelers, especially those looking to connect with others or enjoy a more local feel. The communal facilities are a big plus, and Ehrenfeld is a fun neighborhood to explore. It may not be for everyone—if your priority is proximity to major tourist sights, you may want to consider staying more centrally—but if you're after charm, affordability, and a friendly atmosphere, this hostel hits the mark.

We only stayed for one night and had a great experience overall. The hostel is well connected to the city centre via the underground. Our checking was quick and the staff was really friendly. We even got a little map of Cologne centre and towels for free! We sadly didn’t get to try the hostel’s café/bar as we only stayed for one night, but the atmosphere seemed great and there was even live music! We were in a private room with bathroom that was clean a really nicely decorated. It didn’t feel like ‘hostel’ at all. We almost got the feeling of staying over in somebody’s home.

Good rooms, comfortable beds. Polite people in the reception. I don't know german and they really helped me settle in. Definitely coming back again.

The food and drinks are good, the majority of the staff is very warm and welcoming too, but they are not really good at what they do: being waiters. Some of the waiters though are not only bad at their job, but also unfriendly and mean.

Very nice hostel.. amazing rooms and good kitchen. Small bathrooms but still OK. Too bad the bar didn't have any food.

Amazing hostel. It's the most cozy one I've ever been to. There are a lot of unique things about this hostel, like it has a special backdoor entrance for when the reception is closed like in the night. The beds are very comfortable and everything is extremely clean. Breakfast and everything is very reasonably priced. People working at the hostel are very nice.
