We only stayed for one night and had a great experience overall. The hostel is well connected to the city centre via the underground. Our checking was quick and the staff was really friendly. We even got a little map of Cologne centre and towels for free! We sadly didn’t get to try the hostel’s café/bar as we only stayed for one night, but the atmosphere seemed great and there was even live music! We were in a private room with bathroom that was clean a really nicely decorated. It didn’t feel like ‘hostel’ at all. We almost got the feeling of staying over in somebody’s home.
Good rooms, comfortable beds. Polite people in the reception. I don't know german and they really helped me settle in. Definitely coming back again.
The food and drinks are good, the majority of the staff is very warm and welcoming too, but they are not really good at what they do: being waiters. Some of the waiters though are not only bad at their job, but also unfriendly and mean.
Very nice hostel.. amazing rooms and good kitchen. Small bathrooms but still OK. Too bad the bar didn't have any food.
Amazing hostel. It's the most cozy one I've ever been to. There are a lot of unique things about this hostel, like it has a special backdoor entrance for when the reception is closed like in the night. The beds are very comfortable and everything is extremely clean. Breakfast and everything is very reasonably priced. People working at the hostel are very nice.

Went for a drink here, laid back atmosphere. But, nothing special and crappy seats. Not the world famous backpacking atmosphere at all.
Best hostel of the dozens I stayed in. Homely atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, ok rooms with bathroom, superb breakfast, and all that for cheap moneyz.
Nice place, cute coffee bar, a bit slower internet but functional, hot showers, great and helpful personnel, serious and attentive boss... My Deutsch was nicht so gut, but that wasn't a problem at all. First time in Deutschland, and from a 3 nights experience, I would choose this one again. No worries being 1400 km away from home. Good hostel in good location. Hot showers. Decent breakfast. Warm rooms. Staff at reception were okay, and helped when asked. Wifi was good, and 1 euro beers for hostel guests from the bar downstairs. Also has a decent communal kitchen, though I feel like this hostel would be packed around Carnivale and summer (
