I stayed at this hotel in July 2025 while attending a conference. It is very suitable for solo travelers. The room is quite small, as shown in the photos on the website, but it has everything you need. Considering the price, it is really a good deal. The hotel is very close to the conference center and just one stop away from Cologne Cathedral. I noticed some negative reviews about the front desk...

Our experience at this hotel was unfortunately quite disappointing. First, the lady at the front desk was rude and unwelcoming. When we asked if we could quickly grab something from our bags before storing them in the luggage room, she rolled her eyes at us and acted like we were a major inconvenience. Besides, one of us had an injury and needed a bandage, but the hotel didn’t even have a basic first...

We stayed in the two-bedroom for one night. I had booked and paid through Booking.com. As in the images, the shower cabin was in the room, the toilet part was separate. There was no problem with cleanliness, the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. It's about a five minute walk from the tram stop, and it's also practical in terms of transportation.

Greta choice for the price and/ or if you wanna stay close to exhibition center. Good service

Clean, good sized dorms, lockers available, excellent location to the train station, very easy connection to airport. Great location to city centre/cathedral too. expensive on a Saturday night, but not many other options in Cologne which is a shame as backpackers will likely leave it off their travels because of this. As a person who uses hostels a lot, this one was pretty expensive, there were no plugs near the bed so i had to climb off my bed in order to charge my phone, however the place was clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast was a let down seeing that the booking was expensive, it was a normal german breakfast with bread, cheese and cold meat. No hot breakfast.

The place is super clean but overall it’s just poor value for money. Minimum expected things were missing: No soap in the bathrooms, no working wifi, no eggs nor real orange juice in the breakfast. No AC or fan in the room and the window can only be opened a bit, so the room gets too warm (don’t come here in summer). Oh and check out time is too early!

The two stars, you can see the rooms, of course. However, the staff is really nice and accommodating.

The location: very Central, with links to the Public transport network in about 150 meters. Ambience: the entrance area and corridors are a little Dark. Overall, a little in need of Renovation but largely clean and functional. Even a small Elevator is available. The rooms are a little shabby and sparse. But it's all there and the condition was fine. I myself have stayed there. Super nice staff, for each of the Cologne visit once the will is actually Ideal. What you need is there.

From the outside it does not look that good and tidy but uts very modern on the inside. The rooms are just big enough and everything is very tidy and clean.

Always read the small print. Check in done at another hotel nearby. This hotel is unattended by staff. Can't point my finger on anything good or bad about this place, but there is no doubt it's budget. Then back again at the check in place for breakfast.

It's a nice place if you are thinking to stay two or more days in Khöln. The personal was professional and they were very helpful with their advice about best thing to do there.

What a cute, wonderful place. Hotel is updated, clean and comfortable. The host was so kind and even provided us a fan for the room. Convenient location, approximately 10-15 min walk to central train station and cathedral. Couldn't be happier.

I liked the establishment, quiet, clean, availability, not far from the city and the Metro. I would say see you next time for my next visit to Cologne. I recommend this establishment to young people who want to visit, it was just cool 👍🏾

Stayed one night in February. Had to take an oral exam at the Cologne Chamber of Tax Advisors and had to put my suitcase somewhere because I had traveled by train. And that was solved very easily by the hostess, which was really helpful to me!!! Great location and a bit like taking a step back in time in a slightly weird and spooky experience! Automated check in is efficient just impersonal. Only ever met the doggy behind reception which was cute. All the rooms are unique and some are quite "special". This said, all clean and all working. Very good small hotel. Clean room, very nice staff! Only the bathroom are with old sanitarium and without any accessories / even no soap/ at least there are towels. But is at perfect location! I would visit it again.

Well... it's good for a night or two. It was OK for the price I payed. It's clean but not up to date. The mattress is unbelievably soft. They give you a voucher for a free beer for the pub downstairs. I can't complain about anything. If you're looking for a place to sleep while touring the city - this is good. Because of Covid-19, I only have had the experience of the food being delivered. This restaurant really makes great German food. I had the champignon medaillons and ooh my.. it tastes so good! The panna cotta is also amazing. Absolutely worth it.

Very nice hotel, close to the center. Just keep your window closed at night during the week because the start working at 7 am. We stayed in the appartement and realy liked it. Great small Design Hotel with a perfect hostess. Especially the Deluxe room is a dream with its own Sauna. It is also ideally located, from here you can do everything on foot.

The 4th floor penthouse is a nice view but quite a hike up tight stairwells. The ceilings are low and I had to keep ducking (6ft). It had a patio/balcony area. But otherwise didn't offer much..for what it was too expensive.

Location decent but far from most of the main attractions. Quadruple room is spacious but has some flaws because of it's in the attic.

Pro's great service, huge triple room , lovely breakfast. Comfortable bed, good value for money. Con's no on site parking so it took awhile to find a space although the staff where very helpful. Bathroom is functional however it is very small. Recommended. Got such a good night's sleep!

Room size is big, full breakfast, near Cologne Central Station, walkway from station to the hotel is good for carrying the luggages. Hotel allowed to keep the luggage after checking out. Pls aware that no elevator, and might be inconvenient for heavy luggages. Staff cannot speaker English, we communicate by body language but it went very well.

A bit basic, the fact that some rooms are rented by the hour in a red light district and can become quite... noisy and us finding an empty bag of weed and the remnants of a doobie in the planter of our window when we came back from a visit of the town (it wasn't there before),... Bad! You get what you pay for.

It was a nice hostel generally, enjoyed the stay there, there is a kitchen with a common space. However it could have been cleaner, there were some crumbs on the floor in the private room when we arrived

It’s a little bit intimidating because it doesn’t have much light in the hallway, but it is well located and it’s ok because it has a really low price. The image/cleanliness could be better though.

Great hostel, very basic but good location! Although I was told I could park here there is no where to park on site. And it cost me more to park then to stay at the hostel.

Location is very good.its near the university so there are a lot of young people in that area. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms were ok. Not the best ever, but if you consider the price-quality is acceptable. Staff was wonderful! And I met great people there!

I only have good things to say about this hostel. Very warm reception and basically in the city center.

Clean. Modern room. Bright. A lot of windows. It's in the city center (pro and con) so if you open the window it can be noisy (restaurant, motorcycle, police - windows have a good noise cancelling. Friendly. Breakfast is sufficient. Kids friendly. No air-condition. Nice terrace. Visited in spring. Nothing to complain about.

Really comfortable, clean and secure. My first solo travel experience and I was anxious about how secure my belongings would be. I couldn't have been happier with the accommodation. For such a popular and busy bar, noise was relatively nonexistent.
