Simply lovely! Just a great hotel in a great location. I am usually very picky, but this one was flawless to me. Spacious clean room with a modern design and everything looks new. Huge car garage right next to the hotel. Good sound isolation in the rooms and silent airco. The room itself is not expensive. I use this Mercure as a base when travelling to work in Germany and it's always been a welcoming, friendly and quiet place to unwind after travelling / working. I've marked the location down for the benefit of others, for me and the office I need to visit whilst in Germany it's perfect, however some may find it a little too far out of the city centre. Room was super clean and in great condition. The park view is stunning especially in the autumn months. The location is convenient, there are restaurants, bars, grocery stores nearby. The service and rooms were great. The selection at the breakfast was good. I really liked the idea of the voucher for the hotel bar for every night you don’t want to have your room cleaned. The parking at the hotel is pretty tight though.

We booked this hotel for our long weekend stay in Cologne, and it was a good destination. Less than 15 walking mins away from the old town, situated right at the river and with lots of dining options around, it offered everything we needed. The room was very spacious, with sort of a balcony just above the canal, with comfy beds.
I had 2 days in a conference at the hotel and also spend those 2 days there. My room had a nice view to the river and was also very comfortable/big. It's a quiet, clean and lovely small hotel with modern looking rooms and very nice staff. I stayed for a week in the spring of 2013 around the Easter holiday and they even gave a chocolate bunny for a gift! It's a fair half an hour walk from the train station into downtown Cologne.
