I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options to start the day. The location was also very convenient, close to shops and attractions. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We come to this hotel every year, and we can see the facilities in the room degrading. The were fine around 2016 to 2019, after covid lock down, when we were back in 2023, still good, and 2024, fine. Till this year, 2025, the toilet flush is half broke, shower head is not in good condition. Breakfast service is shrank, no more take away coffee cups.

The hotel is very centrally located, just a few meters from the pedestrian zone. Unfortunately, because of this, people from the drug scene also hang around in the area, but that's sadly the case in every major city. At the hotel itself, however, there are absolutely no problems. Everything is clean and the staff is very friendly.

I stayed there during Essen spiel. The mini-fridge in the rooms do not cool anything at all and might as well not have existed. Since I have diabetes and need to keep my medicine cold, it was an issue. Luckily, the staff accomodated my needs by keeping my medicine in the fridge at the lobby bar. A well functional hotel, fine views, great breakfast, alright gym, nice pool and saunas for a few days works and pleasure. The service is somewhat doubtful, miscommunication and mistakes in checkin, housekeeping confused and busy, but easily fixed. Parking and charging is expensive but good.

Everything is fine, but the WiFi is comically bad. Not that it matters anymore with any Cellphone getting 300+ Mbits these days. But 5 Down/ 5 Up ... it's almost fascinating, like going back in time :)

Extraordinary buildings renovated in a lovely way to fulfill the five star feeling of the hotel (this really old stone and brick castle). Fireplaces with live fires going in the evenings are cosy. But be prepared for the smell if you are sensitive. The fine dining experience is a thing I truly appreciate and recommend!

We absolutely loved the hotel; the photos don't really do justice to how cozy it is. The restaurant service was excellent – one day we arrived late for breakfast, and they kindly prepared something simple for us outside of regular hours, which we really appreciated. 100% recommend!

On a business trip, this is by far the best value-for-money hotel within a few kilometers. The environment is elegant, and check-in was a breeze. Parking is usually the biggest headache in Europe, but the lot here is spacious and the fees are reasonable. Highly recommended!

Reversed through the official accor.com but the imcluded breakfast in added options were missing when I checked in. I showed my reservation email, but still took some time to convince the reception that breakfast is included. Although eventually another staff acknowledge the included breakfast but when we went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast, the room number was still missing.

Hotel is beautiful from outside and inside. The breakfast is amazing. The staff is helpful as well. Cons : Wifi is an issue, its not stable. Even i changed my room , then also Internet issue. Great hotel and location. Ideal for visiting the markets in late November. It was a shame that the sauna was only operational at certain times mid-week. Meant that it was always crowded early evening.

My friend and I went to Cologne for a night to visit the Christmas markets, and the service was excellent! They provide free airport transfers, and the man who helped us on Saturday was very friendly. We loved it. Highly recommended.

Room 911 had a bad smell, likely from the drain. The bed was comfortable. It's conveniently located near the subway station. However, drinking water, toothbrushes, and toiletries were not replenished throughout my 4-night stay.

The hotel only provide bottle water once while you check in. We stay for 5 night and don't get any extra bottle water. There is no privilege for in and out parking for hotel's guest.

Unfortunately, it's not entirely wheelchair accessible from the parking garage due to a small staircase. It's manageable with a rollator and some help, but not suitable for those reliant on a wheelchair. Otherwise, everything is clean, very friendly, and spotless. We were a bit disappointed by the limited menu selection and the kitchen at 4 PM on a Saturday. The staff were nice and accommodating.

It was not very easy to find due to the name not being what expected it to so that was a bit confusing. Otherwise the the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good! Add bacon and it would have 5 points on all accounts. That being said, I would highly recommend it.

At night you can enjoy a free drink while soaking in the view of the river. The breakfast area has some stairs so be prepared to walk up and down to get your food in the morning.

Very clean. Located in a residential area near the river. The nearest transportation station is 1 kilometer away, so it's not ideal for those traveling by bus with luggage. I stayed on first floor which is ok. Not too loud for the traffic outside as the hotel is located near the main road. There is parking (clean and large spaces) next to the hotel which is convenient for you if you drive. The location of hotel is perfect.
