Lovely hotel, very competitive prices for the confort provided. Enjoyable breakfast

The room was exceptional. The bed very comfortable. The shower and bathroom were great. Just one issue that water from the shower leaked into the bathroom area for some reason. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Although I would suggest that the coffee they use should be a bit less bitter because the cappuccino and latte macchiato were too strong for us. All in all it is a wonderful hotel.

I asked for an early check in and the greek girl at the reception did her best to give me a room at 10.30 despite that check in was at 15.00. These are small details that make the next time I come back to Bochum I won't hesitate to stay at this hotel again. Top service.

The room has a good air volume. The area has a good air quality. The air change rate is insufficient. It needs a 24/7 ACH system which potentially uses zero or low power. We’ll be visiting again this hotel in this area.

Hotel Lyskirchen is very well located and easily accessible. The room was perfectly clean and equipped with everything needed. The elevator was out of order, but the staff carried our luggage upstairs, which was much appreciated. A very good hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights while in Cologne, check in was very pleasant and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and big enough , shower room was also very clean. It took me around 15 mins to walk from the station to the hotel which was all on the same level. Great location only 200yds from river and 5-10min walk to bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Nice hotel but late check in til 3pm

Modern room with almost all of the amenities you would expect -- refrigerator, TV, kettle -- but there is no AC so be aware. The bathroom was roomy, with a tub/shower (but watch your step getting in). For me this was a convenient location to walk through the old parts of the city and it's narrow, cobblestone roads.

I stayed here 5 years ago and had a great experience. This time was not so good because work was being conducted on the roof above my room to install solar panels. I changed rooms but the crane still started early in the morning so woke me up early. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Maria on the bar was extremely nice and mixed a great gin and tonic. Burger night on Tuesday was good too.

Silverfish in the bathroom, it wasn't the cleanest - shabby carpeting and dirt marks around one of the wall paintings. While it was nice to have a large room and balcony, with no kitchen utensils (you have to ask front desk for them) and "green" housekeeping (i.e. they don't want to pay for housekeepers or for new toilet rolls/soap refills) I don't think it justifies the price. Had a very nice stay here in August. Nice sized room and bathroom with a fully opening window. There was air conditioning, at least in the room I happened to get!

I have been to this hotel many times, since it is the base for an event that happens annually. We stayed at the Fire & Ice Hotel during the Easter holidays in occasion of a family trip to Duesseldorf. We had booked a so called "Tree chalet", all very nice and clean. Staff extremely friendly and prepared. We would definitely go back there. :)

Rooms were very modern and Clean, Location was also good. You could take a bus from Central station to the Hotel. the AC in my room wasn't working properly. it was super hot! even the temperature in the hallway was cooler. I talked to the receptionist on the first night and he said it's expected given the type of AC they had wasn't a "strong AC" and even if they had given me a room change, the issue most likely would persist. Booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child. Only 1 double bed no child bed. I asked to be moved no availability on rooms with 3 bed. I asked for a folding bed they didn't have any. So one of us had to sleep on the floor. The double bed had a single size duvet. Only thing I would say is room was clean and spacious. I wouldn't book again.

We stayed at room 503 in the annex, which was noisy at night due to the neighbour and had the tiniest shower. The room really felt 3 stars, not 4. The hotel is far away from the city and its restaurant had a limited offer.

A very quaint, old-world, classy property with a nice breakfast. Our family suite was spacious and comfortable, perfect for traveling with kids. The only downside was the WiFi - the signal was either very weak or didn’t work at all. Otherwise, a pleasant and peaceful stay.

We just stayed overnight as we were travelling by car from Paris to Stockholm. The hotel was very comfortable and the surroundings are fantastic. A very good breakfast - one of the best I've had. My daughter and family have also booked Parkhotel Hohenfeld in Munster when they travel to Sweden.

The swimming pool is more than disappointing. The pictures give the impression of a much larger pool. The whole area is very outdated. We were accommodated in an annex and therefore had to change in the pool area. Unfortunately, there are no lockers for our clothes. Unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.
